I genuinely don't think there are enough words to express how grateful I am to Hatfield Wick Education.

Before finding Hatfield Wick, my daughter had experienced years of difficulties within mainstream education. Her anxiety had become overwhelming, her confidence had suffered, and getting her through the doors of an educational setting had become an enormous challenge.

As a parent, watching your child struggle so much is heartbreaking, especially when you've spent years trying to find people who truly understand their needs.

Then we found Hatfield Wick, and I can honestly say they've made such a difference to our lives.

From the very beginning, the staff have taken the time to get to know my daughter as an individual. They've never expected her to fit into a system that doesn't work for her. Instead, they've adapted their approach to suit her needs, her interests and, most importantly, her emotional wellbeing.

They understand that building trust and helping a child feel safe must come before expecting them to learn.

My daughter has gone from struggling to attend to now looking forward to her sessions, building beautiful relationships with staff, growing in confidence and even asking if she can attend more often!

The little things mean just as much as the big things. Whether it's embracing her love of art, letting her cover their arms in glitter tattoos, offering reassurance when she's anxious or simply making her feel valued, nothing ever seems too much trouble.

And what makes Hatfield Wick even more special is that their kindness doesn't stop with the children.

After everything we'd experienced previously, I found it incredibly difficult to trust educational professionals again. But the team have shown me, through their actions rather than just their words, that my daughter is genuinely cared for. They've helped me rebuild that trust too.

Sometimes I genuinely have to pinch myself because I never imagined we'd find somewhere that understood her quite like this.

For the first time in a very long time, I feel like I'm not fighting to make people understand my daughter. I'm surrounded by people who already do.

To every single member of the Hatfield Wick team, thank you. Thank you for your patience, kindness, compassion and for seeing the wonderful little girl behind her difficulties.

You've given my daughter something that no parent should ever have to fight so hard for: the opportunity to feel safe, accepted and happy while accessing education.

Exceptional support when we needed it most

I cannot speak highly enough of Hatfield Wick Education. From the very beginning, the level of care, professionalism, and genuine compassion shown to both my son and our family has been outstanding.

During an incredibly difficult and stressful time, the team provided not only high-quality educational support, but also understanding, reassurance, and consistency when we needed it most. Every member of staff we encountered went above and beyond, showing patience, kindness, and a deep commitment to supporting children and families in challenging situations.

Their communication has been clear and supportive throughout, and it has always felt as though they truly cared about achieving the best possible outcome for my son.

I visited Hatfield Wick Education today to discuss possible charitable collaboration. The focus being on providing opportunity for those attending the school to have additional community based experiences.

I was extremely impressed by the feel and substance of the school. It clearly places student needs above all else and has established an environment where students know this.

Students are clearly navigating a broad range of educational, emotional, and life challenges - there is no doubt in my mind that with the care and passion in this environment they have a much better chance of gaining the confidence, perspective, and life skills to walk their path.

Our son is very much enjoying his science lessons with Dan and they are a great supplement to the lessons in school- giving him the confidence that he can do science and its not as intimidating as it might at first seem.

I've been really pleased with the progress my son has made since being tutored by Mr Smyth at Hatfield Wick.

Mike is a excellent Maths Teacher who has been very helpful in giving my daughter a better understanding of what is required to do well in her GCSE exams. My daughter's confidence in Maths has grown a lot since Mike started tutoring her. He is very patient and takes time to understand the individual needs of his student. My son had predicted grades in English of 5 and 6. After weekly sessions with Adam he started to enjoy English, and really gained a deep understanding of the subject in both literature and language. We just got his gcse grades - 8 and 9, big thanks to Adam for his support and encouragement.
