Wow!
Wow! Myself and my husband had an amazing night at Wymering Manor last night. It is definitely a place to be explored, so much activity, I started off as extremely sceptical, but now I’m definitely more of a believer! The whole team were incredibly knowledgeable and full of energy all night. I would like to say a special thankyou to Claire and Adam, you were both great hosts, you were fully invested in what we were hearing and were debunking things that some may have thought were paranormal. Extremely professional, we are definitely going to be back! Thankyou so much!

Hi Stacey,
Thank you for such a fantastic review. We’re really pleased to hear that you and your husband had such an amazing night with us at Wymering Manor.
It’s always great to hear from guests who arrive feeling sceptical and leave with a few more questions than answers. Wymering has a long reputation for producing some very interesting activity, so it sounds like the building certainly gave you plenty to think about during the night.
Claire and Adam will be delighted to read your kind words. Our hosts always aim to keep investigations both engaging and responsible, which means exploring possible explanations and debunking things where necessary. That balance is really important to us, so it’s great to hear that approach stood out to you.
We’re very glad you both enjoyed the experience and we look forward to welcoming you back on another investigation soon.

30 East Drive what a experience
Had an amazing time at 30 East Drive with our fabulous host Laura! She kept it fun and safe and her mixture of excitement and sheer terror at the REM Pod constantly going off and answering to our questions made the experience even more. We were told this is not Disneyland and that the spirits don’t perform on demand but we were not disappointed. We had temp drops, bangs, knocks, table tipping, glass spinning, doors opening, catballs going off, uneasy feelings and red hot heating even though we turned it off and all the radiators. My friend even walked away with a mini scratch on her face. Would highly recommend but you need to bring the energy. Thanks Haunted Houses we will be back

Hi Roseanne,
Thank you for such a brilliant review. We’re really pleased to hear that you had such an amazing night with us at 30 East Drive – The Black Monk House.
Laura will be delighted to hear your kind words. She’s a fantastic host who always brings great energy to the night while making sure everyone feels safe, comfortable and fully involved in the investigations.
30 East Drive certainly has a reputation for producing a wide range of unexplained activity, and it sounds like the house kept everyone on their toes during your visit. As we always say during the briefing, spirits don’t perform on demand — but when a location does become active, it can make for a truly unforgettable night.
It’s great to hear that you enjoyed the experience and that you’d recommend it to others. Bringing the right energy and an open mind really does make a difference on an investigation.
Thank you again for joining us and for taking the time to share your experience. We look forward to welcoming you back on another ghost hunt soon.

We had just stayed the night at 30 east drive and were hosted by Sian and Christopher, both were incredible hosts, we felt so comfortable with them and had many many laughs during the night. The night itself was quiet and tame but we still enjoyed ourselves and our hosts put extra effort into getting the spirits to play, thank you Sian and Christopher, you made our entire night fun and special

As you discovered, every night at 30 East Drive can be very different. Sometimes the activity is quieter, but the experience of investigating such a famous location — and sharing the night with a great group and hosts — can still make it a really memorable visit.

We visited the four crosses in
We visited the four crosses in. We had mixed feedback for the night. The booking process was easy and straight forward with good directions and arrival information. We found the hosts friendly however we were a bit thrown off with one of them stating she was a skeptic and not a big believer. And one of the hosts said she didn’t know how to use all the equipment which I didn’t find very professional. We were split into groups and taken to separate parts at the building which worked well as it didn’t feel to crowded. However more outgoing hosts would have been great here to kind of lead a bit more due to some guests being shy and quiet there was a lot of awkward silence moments that a host should have really helped the group through. There was ‘break’ periods throughout the night a lot of us would have preferred for these to be optional as it seems to waste a lot of time for the non smokers in the group and was a lot of waiting around. We had a good night with some good activity and nothing was staged or faked everything felt very authentic. There was an option to stay over at the venue which we didn’t do and chose a hotel up the road due to travelling back in the dark. I understand the venue is old and cold and this is advertised however there was a considerable amount of damp and mold over the property which wasn’t stated and if I hadn’t booked a hotel and turned up to stay here just expecting a very cold property not so much of mold and damp everywhere I wouldn’t have been impressed it’s not good for your chest. Would we rebook through this company…probably not it seemed like they weren’t 100% up to scratch with a few things that would put us off in the future.

Hello Sian,
Thank you again for taking the time to leave such a detailed review — and I’m genuinely sorry your night at The Four Crosses Inn felt mixed.
I’m pleased the booking process, directions and arrival information were clear, and that you felt the investigation itself was authentic and unstaged — that’s a big part of what we stand for. That said, I completely understand why the hosting points you’ve raised would knock your confidence in the evening.
To give a bit of context, we have 36 hosts across the company, with a mix of very experienced team members and newer hosts who are still finding their feet. The hosts on your night are quite new with us joining us a around four months ago, and have previously been buddied up with more experienced team members while they build confidence with pacing, group energy and equipment. On this particular event they ran solo, and like anyone new to a role, it can sometimes feel overwhelming — especially with quieter groups where the host needs to actively keep momentum and ease any awkward silences.
That isn’t an excuse, and it doesn’t change what you experienced — but it is something we can act on. We’re confident they’ll grow into real stars, and we’ll be reviewing how we support them (including mentoring, equipment confidence, and how breaks are managed so they don’t feel like dead time for non-smokers).
You also raised an important point about the damp/mould condition in parts of the building. Cold is expected in an old venue, but damp/mould is a different concern and can impact health. I personally was not aware of this and we have used this venue for almost ten years now, so might be a new development? i’ll be taking this up with the venue owner and also update how we communicate overnight conditions so guests can make a fully informed choice.
If you’d like to discuss any of this further with me directly, you’re very welcome to email bookings@haunted-houses.co.uk
and I’ll go through it with you in detail. I’ll do my best to help with any remaining concerns — and hopefully earn enough trust to welcome you back in future, as many of our guests so often do.
Warm regards,
Kit Key, Haunted Houses Events
