Charlie contacted me last week to arrange a boiler repair after I posted my job on ratedpeople.com. He came across really helpful at first and advised me that the the other quotations I had received were way above what I should be paying. He had called me on Monday to arrange visiting on Tuesday and asked me to pay for materials as he had been stung by another customer by cancelling a job after he'd ordered materials. On this basis, he asked that I pay for materials upfront which I agreed provided that he was able to provide me with the supplier quotation, which he followed up with. I then paid and he said he would see me the following day. He didn't turn up and I called him to which he said he had a nightmare on another project and gave me technical details to try to baffle me. I had to rearrange my schedule for a second time on the premise that he would visit today. He didn't turn up and has failed to answer my calls or messages. Please do not be scammed by Charlie & Heatsafe247!

Charlie is a scammer. My elderly 89 year old mum with dementia needed help with her boiler. He took advantage of her and took all the money up front using his bullying tactics. Now he's not answering my calls and has left my mum without any heating and left the house in a state. Avoid at all costs.

Charlie, agreed a price and was scheduled for Wednesday. He called on the day and rescheduled for Friday, due to feeling unwell.
He then called on Thursday and we agreed for him to attend at 1pm. He cam then began renegotiating, which was a surprise as he had all information before arriving. He then agreed to honour agreed price and rescheduled for Tuesday. He never arrived, called or answered any call.

This is the WORSEE engineer ever!! The has all the big talks but once the job is done he and there is a problem, he doesn't answer the calls. He caused a leak in the roof because of poor installation. Then cut a piece of the ceiling out and refusing to come fix it or compensate for it!!

I have taken time to read the reviews of some of the customers. This gas engineer is one of the ones that contacted me after I posted a new job in Rated People. He was not my first choice but then chose him after I couldn't agree on price with my first choice. The installation was a one day job to swap out an old boiler with a newer model of the same boiler brand. Job completed after he spent long periods on the phone seeking advice on the installation. But then the problem started. The boiler installed was leaking water and the nest thermostat was not connected. He agreed to come back and fix it but never did after numerous promises. He then stopped picking my calls after chasing him for 10 days after initial installation. Another gas engineer came and fixed it at a cost. This engineer is a hit and miss. I have read other reviews with similar problems as I experienced. Once there's an issue after installation thats where he shows his true colours. It was a mistake to contract him in the first place. Don't touch this installer with a barge pole. Will not recommend.
