These are bad people. I would like to warn you not to use their bank card. It's nothing but just a scam. They've blocked my card twice and worse still the Uriel person that they say deals with that he's never reachable. Please stick to real banks, these one are just chancers who do not know what banking entails and what Banking laws requires them. They're very unprofessional!

Hello Paisa has honestly been the worst service I’ve used. Their customer support is useless — I’ve submitted all the required documents multiple times to increase my limit, yet they keep asking for the same things over and over like no one actually reads anything.

And that R25,000 limit? Completely unrealistic. What are people supposed to do with that when they earn more than the limit? On top of that, their fees are expensive for such poor service.

Meanwhile, Mama Money is miles ahead — higher limits (up to R100,000), lower fees, and you can now even buy things online and make payments to other banks.

Honestly, don’t waste your time with Hello Paisa.

My experience with Hello Paisa has been extremely frustrating and disappointing.

A withdrawal was made to my Hello Paisa account on 27 November 2025, and to date this matter has still not been resolved. Despite multiple attempts to get assistance, I have not received meaningful help.

I was informed that overseas card payments were blocked, which affected the transaction. However, when I requested a formal signed and stamped confirmation (required by a third-party provider to resolve the issue), this was not provided despite multiple requests.

I have called several times between January and March and sent multiple emails, but the issue remains unresolved. I was also told that my case is being handled, but there has been no follow-up or visible progress.

In addition, I was promised callbacks on several occasions, including from a supervisor, but these commitments were not honoured.

Overall, this experience reflects poor communication, lack of accountability, and ineffective handling of customer issues. This matter has taken far too long to resolve and requires urgent attention.

Avoid HelloPaisa at all costs.

I tried to send money to Zimbabwe during an emergency, only to be blindsided by a frozen account. No warning, no SMS, no email, nothing. Just blocked when I actually needed the service. Now suddenly they demand documents, which I submitted immediately, and I’m told to wait up to 24 hours? That delay is unacceptable, especially when people rely on this service for urgent situations. What makes it worse is the complete lack of communication. Why wasn’t I notified in advance that my documents needed updating? Why wait until the exact moment I need to transact to create a problem? This is not just poor service, it’s reckless and inconsiderate. A financial service that fails you when it matters most is useless.

I strongly advise people to stay away.

I have been trying to get assistance regarding cash out .l made a cash out last week friday when l tried to redeem the voucher l cant redeem it .it says redeemed yet l didnt redeem it .the customer service is very bad they dont even reply or they just respond with hi how can l help you and that it no answer again

Hello Paisa as a money transfer service is good overall. They process transactions as quickly as possible, which is appreciated. However, their customer service is very disappointing. Some operators, especially the Indian/Bangladeshi agents, come across as unprofessional and unfriendly. Unfortunately, this is very noticeable when calling their customer service centre, where the tone can be rude and unwelcoming. I hope Hello Paisa takes this seriously and invests in better training for their operators to improve the customer experience.

On 30 October, a payment of R1115 was made to my account by my business partner, as is normal every week, but to my surprise, that transfer never reflected in my account. I waited for a day and later called the Hello Paisa customer care, the most useless platform I have ever come across. From one agent to the other, a lady named Sue assured me that she would escalate and inform the finance department, but till now, 23 November, nothing has happened. On 17 November, another transfer of R10111 was made to my account, and the same thing happened - I haven't received the R1115, and now they have also taken R10111. Hello Paisa is a scammer. I used to doubt people who complained about this scammer masquerading as a bank, but I have been with Hello Paisa since 2019, and this is the last straw. My advice is to avoid those scammers at all costs until they have a physical bank and office where people can go and get their issues resolved. Everything is done online, and if they tell you your issue has been escalated, you have to wait. Four years ago, someone was crying after losing money to this Hello Paisa scammer, and I thought it was a joke. Now it's my turn. Everyone will be a victim slowly but surely. Now, there is a manager named Mpho who promised to help, but I have lost trust. What's the point of a call center if nothing gets resolved? The government should shut down that so-called bank. Hello Paisa is the biggest scam in town, preying on foreign nationals mostly.

Sent money and still hasn't been received. Lies after lies from Customer support

They have the worst customer support ever online or physical. They don't respond quickly in case of an emergency. If you try their chat it takes forever and it seems like it's one person attending to hundreds of customers. I moved all my funds and I will block Hello Paisa account soon. I will always tell friends not to be bank with them. I always ignored the signs of how bad Hello Paisa is until money started disappearing from my account. My account was hacked and I lost thousands.

Something as simple as changing a contact detail on an active account takes days to these pple time isn't valuable

Absolute scam! Transfered over 70k using Remitly. Had no idea Remitly switched from Siyanonga (money reflected in my FNB in 1 hour always) to this company HelloPaisa that has for the past 3 days not had my money reflect in FNB at all. This is unacceptable. No customer service, no support. Just nothing.

Worst service ever. No communication to recipients, phones always off, not helpful when there is a query. Good epitome of a scam

They are a bunch of thieves. I sent emails, they do not bother to reply, holding on to the money of a recipient and simply not releasing it with ZERO communication or reason. Stay away!

This is one of the worst bank ever,my client paid 40K and they immediately blocked my account and mind you that time I had to pay suppliers,they asked me to provide POP and invoice and I did but up to now I am told my account has been sent for review hence clients are waiting for their money.I would never recommend them to anyone.I want my money.

I shouldn't be even giving this one star,I sold my car and my money was deposited immediately into Hello Paisa account ,it's been 6 days now ,they taking me back and fourth with my money ,it's being held ...I am the only one communicating /calling them.They not even engaging with me and very arrogant and unprofessional.Imagine I sold my car coz I have problems to be solved only for them to hold my money even I submitted the papers I could to prove Its legit.

HelloPaisa appears to be operating as a scam. They deserve a zero-star rating. I sent money from Australia to Zimbabwe 15 days ago, and all I receive are excuses about "technical difficulties" each time I inquire about the transfer. This service is unacceptable.It's a trash🚮
