My experience with HelpInU was fantastic. I had recently moved into a detached home and when they contacted me, I was sure it is a scam as there is no way I would be eligible for government grants for home energy efiiciency. I even checked various government websites (for the schemes listed in the pamphlet) to check my eligibility and all of them showed that I was not eligible based on salary criteria. However, Conor from HelpInU was really helpful (and persistent) in explaining why I might be eligible and that there is no scam here as many similar properties in my postcode (including my neighbors) had it done for free in recent years. I gave my go ahead and scheduled a survey and the surveyor was also very professional and explained to me what all I can be eligible for and what not. So my home was eligible for cavitt wall insulation bit not loft insulation. They put in the application on my behalf and within 3 weeks guys came in and completed the job. It took almost half a day for them to complete it. But since then my thermostat cutoff setting has been atleast 2 degrees below what it used to be and my house still feels much warmer than before the insulation. Such a relief in these times of high energy prices. Just to add on, i have another property in the neighborhood which also got surveyed after this property, but that was not eligible for grants (reasons for which Conor explained me well and I was satisfied). Have recommended it to all my friends in the area. They also provide a 25 year guarantee/insurance for this work, so that is handy if ypu plan to sell the property in future.

Steve baugham has been very helpful in getting the insulation done in my house, when I was told it had load it didn't have much so Steve got on the case and got it sorted for me along with heaters as my house is very cold also coming back to do my loft insulation.. top man!

Recently I had a cold call at my door promoting free insulation. I arranged for my property to be surveyed and was impressed with the service. It was explained to me the my cavity walls needed insulation and I was shown the gap between the walls on the surveyors ipad. The surveyor also checked the loft and boiler but I was advised that my boiler was too modern to qualify for an upgrade and that I had enough insulation in my loft. The wall insulation has been installed with no charge and I'm very happy with the whole experience.

Having recently moved into our dream cottage, we noted how cold it was. After talking to our neighbour she recommended Steve Baughan from helpinu. We then contacted Steve who come to survey our home. We was amazed to find we was able to get interior wall and loft insulation totally free and new dimplex storage heaters as well. We was a bit sceptical at first. Steve visited us 3 times to answer our questions concerns. All work was carried out to a brilliant standard,we're over the moon and now warm. We cant believe this was free. Thanks to Steve and the boys for a job well done.

My wife had somebody knock on her door to promote cavity wall installation for free I was very sceptical. A Survayer came To the house and inspected the property and explained to me the government scheme. We had our walls insulated about two months after. The installation team was absolutely brilliant no mess and you can hardly see where the holes have been drilled. I have now had a new boiler fitted which we really needed. I was Told the boiler was going free but I ended up paying £250 for the installation of the boiler which I really did not mind.this is not me complaining thank you ever so much helpinu I will definitely recommend you

After a surprise knock on my elderly mother's front door, an appointment was made with a representative from HelpinU. My mother contacted me and asked me to be at the appointment. I like most people was extremely sceptical of an offer of free insulation, as they if it's to good to true, it generally is. The surveyor explained the process in detail and genuinely seemed to know his stuff. The survey was completed and the paperwork completed. To my surprise the surveyor informed me that the application would be processed, but might not get authorised, by the council. Later on my mother received a call and her loft and cavity was installed several weeks later. The guys that installed it were brilliant, super friendly and did a great job. I can't recommend them enough. A*.

I wasn’t aware of grants available but was pleased after a visit to my door. I’m writing this as I’ve just had my loft done and was impressed in the way it was done. The chap was concerned the hatch seal wasn’t good enough and I said not to worry but he insisted it was done properly as droughts could occur. He later left a 25 year guarantee certificate. Top class job. Great.

Someone knocked on the door and told me how I could access fee grant money for cavity wall insulation because my property's EPC rating is 'E' and if I take that, then I'm also elible for a free boiler. Furthermore, they had a surveyer in the area that could conduct a cavity check within the hour. I called the number on the leaflet and queried the grant elibiliy. The lady on the phone said I'd need to check my councils criteria (not sure why she couln't do this). What they failed to mention is that to access the grant you need to meet the councils eligibility criteria which is <£35k comnbined household income PLUS low EPC rating OR be classed as a vunerable person. So its not FREE... Waste of my time and theirs.

Knocked on the door, told me I could have free cavity wall insulation, said he'd "put me in touch with a local company" to do a test. The local company guy turned up 20 minutes later. I assume he'd arrived in the same van. Dodgy as all hell. I checked with OfGem and I'm not eligible for the grant they went on about so presumably they'd have done the work "for free" before inevitably telling me I'd have to pay after all.

Very pleased with the work. Was sceptical at first but I did a lot of research into the insulation they were using and it ticked all the boxes. Very surprised it didn’t cost me anything.

Got a knock at the door and thought, "here we go" , especially when the conversation started with tales of free insulation and heating. I thought I'd hear them out and give them the benefit of the doubt. I was quickly reassured by their professional approach and only a week or so later we have had our inefficient damp causing cavity wall insulation removed and new state of the art therma bead insulation installed at no cost. Very happy. New heating going in next, again at no cost to us. Can't recommend these guys enough and have passed on their details to our neighbors and friends.

A canvasser named kate offered me a survey for free insulation after confirming I was eligible and the service from start to finish. I now have full wall insulation and you can hardly tell it has been done and theet are insulating my loft next week. Thank you for a quick efficient and friendly service

It actually is true!! My mum had a random knock on her door offering free cavity insulation. She told me so I made sure I was there when the surveyor mark turned up. He went through everything and even explained why it was free. I agreed to proceed and the insulation was done 2 weeks later. He even checked the loft but there was plenty of insulation already. It has made a difference and I would definately suggest using this company again

Was a bit sceptical at first but felt very reassured after my survey was completed by a Chap called Jim. Had my Cavity and loft insulated for free but did have to make a £300 contribution towards a brand new Worcester combi boiler fully fitted. More than happy with this as British Gas quoted me over £2000 and my utility Bill's have dropped by 35%.
