I was looking forward to trying this after watching some marketing videos on it.

I gave it a fair chance. I watched all of their tips and tricks videos, and shaved with it 4 times now, and changed the blade after the first 2 shaves as well. I still don't like how this razor shaves.

Going with the grain, you just end up with really rough whiskers left. Then reapply water and shaving cream, and go against the grain... not good with this razor. Extremely time consuming, not smooth, and you will get more cuts and more skin irritation.

I even tried going against the grain to start, and forget that idea too. I don't care how you do it, slow and firm, with or against the grain, you'll be taking several passes if you want a semi-smooth shave. More skin irritation in the end.

I'm going back to multi-blade razors.

Horrible customer service, emailed them over two weeks ago about receiving a faulty damaged razor that is worth over $300 with zero response to any email.

Not worth the hype. Tried it multiple times but it Gave me bad razor burn Disposable shavers are much better. Their marketing campaign is sure working though. I fell for it I guess. Here’s your warning not to.

It took me a real long time to jump from cheap multi blades razors to Hansen Razor ; I have been reluctant because bad exprience from the past using older single blade razor which constantly cut you.
Last December I took the leap of faith and purchase one and had zero issue till today and love every day to shave , the experience is amazing and result perfect . To anyone who like me hesitate, just go for it ; to a friend I will tell him if you don't like it I take it back from you and pay for it! Those Hansen Razors are not at all as those 30 - 40 years ago , they are perfection!!

The razor itself seems great, very light and good in the hand. If you don't think it's that great, try other blades in it. The RK ones "specifically designed for Henson AL13" are pretty awful, snags on hair a lot.

Traded out for feather blades that I use on my normal razor, and it's much better. So the upsell of 100 of their rubbish blades isn't great at all, and is doing them a disservice.

Accessories are really nice too (stand and cover).

A problem with an order shipped to the wrong address was never resolved. There is no human support. It’s just stock phrases from AI. If you have problems or need support they will never answer.

Two issues: For one, their razor seems extremely overpriced compared to others of the same kind and likely quality according to online reviews. I'm led to believe this brand is just paying social media personalities to advertise their overpriced product to people who don't know better.
Secondly, the spam. I only put the razor into my cart to see the price, entered my email and was about to check out when I got suspicious and checked their trustpilot page where someone mentioned spam emails even without having bought or registered anything. I deleted the email from Henson's site and closed the tab without pressing anything else and - lo and behold - they had already added my email to their advert list even though I never actually "gave" them my email, they essentially took it while I was typing it. I got a spam email, unsubscribed and wrote this review. Would not recommend - 0/10, don't about the razors quality but it can't be worth 90 bucks.

I want to leave my experience...at the begining Iwas disapointed...it was good but nothing that blow my mined...now after about 2 monts of using I wana mention that I had 0 cuts 0 nicks 0 skin iritations on my neck aldo I dont use any aftershave...and most important I get nice close shawe of my head and I get there fast now that I earned all about angels...so 5 star to the company they are expensive but worth every euro

They need to get better logistics for their shipping. Took 3 weeks for my product to arrive. Didn’t arrive in time for my trip. Severely disappointed. The shipping company apparently had a problem with my address to which there was actually nothing wrong. They waited until someone corrected the address but due to lack of common sense they didn’t notify anyone of the issue.

Today I got my first Henson AL13 today all the way from the US, in record time I might add (Thanks DHL).

I had seen the adds previously but when I got a promotion code, so I could save a little money AND support one of my favourite YouTube channel, that I took the jump.

I have been very happy for years with Gillette Fusion but hated the price tag and how I for that reason perhaps used each blade a "little longer" that ideal.

So I was with anticipation that I just had my first shave and... I am not a man usually to be lost for words... But I mean WOW. So easy, so smooth. I probably have to get used applying much less pressure and only touching one area 1 at most two times. But that's what I would call a luxury problem.

After many years of using cartridge razor and getting irritated many times, I finally found my forever razor. Finally free from buying those expensive cartridge razors. I thought that the Al13 was the last razor I would buy. I was wrong. It was so good that I bought the titanium razor.
The only bad experience I had was with the RK blades. They didn’t shave well for me. I can imagine people transitioning from cartridge will have a bad experience with the RK’s. And they will think that Henson is not a good razor. The Nacet and Astra blades has been excellent and gave me the best shave. It is so smooth that I wondered if I put the blade in. Maybe Henson should have supplied a blades sample pack instead.

I was convinced by the ads to buy this expensive rasor in the hopes it would be a great shaving experience. My high expectations were completely destroyed in different fases. Fase 1, I simplify tried for the first time and it was a disaster. It hurt my skin, got some cuts, and I could feel the beard easily. Fase 2, I checked the website for different techniques, and again it miserably failed. Fase 3, I got a kit with several brands of blades, high quality most of them. Tried the different blades with mixed results, from horrible to ok at best. After a month of putting the effort to like this rasor, I gave up. The good news? I got refund without any issues. I'm back to my old 5 blade rasor and life is good again.

I'm 77 and old enough to remember shaving with a single edge razor when I started shaving. I didn't like the Gillette Trac Two which they sent to everyone free when it was introduced (remember those days?). I hated it. Their slogan was "It's one blade better than the blade you're using now." I was using Wilkinson blades at the time and told them they should market theirs with the slogan "It's one better blade".

I was intrigued when a YT source mentioned Henson, so I decided to give it a try. I went all in buying the 50 year supply of blades which I don't think I'll ever get to use (how about a discount for us old-timers?).

My first shave with the Henson was smooth, with the expected issue of your skin getting used to a new method. I'm not that impressed with the shaving cream but I'll use it to give it a chance. I like my current gel much better.

The only thing I'd like to see changed is a longer handle. I realize it is about the same length as the old razors, but I'd like it about another inch longer.

For grins, I put a Henson blade in my old Gillette razor to see how it would do (yeah, I still have it). The old razor is a lot more aggressive and resulted in more scrapes and irritations. I'll keep the old razor in my collection, but the Henson will be my go to for now (who know maybe laser shaving will become a thing).

Absolutely no receipt of purchase and customer service is not replying to emails.
Edit: changed review from one star to three stars as they have sent the item out. Still not very happy with the customer service not replying. I guess I will take a wait and see approach as I did sign up for the lifetime razor blades. I've been trying to shop Canadian as much as possible so in a little disappointed with this company in regards to customer service

I'm super comfused by all these negative reviews. I bought this shaver after seeing it promoted on TLDR videos. Checked the TrustPilot after the purchase and was gutted by the feedback. Seriously considered cancelling. Tired it once it arrived and could not be happier. Shave is great. Will never have to buy those insanely expensive razor refill. I'm not locked in. I would seriously look into the veracity of the other reviews this razor is legit.

Trying to send back a Henson Razor and Blades I am not satisfied with. Sent a request and it sent back undeliverable. This is a joke. The razor is no good. Paid $95 and have no way to send back the razor. Do not buy from this company

All Marketing Hype - Cheap product sold at a silly premium price.
The product is a cheap $10 aluminium handle supplied with "stainless steel" blades that rust within 24hrs.

I populated address form on your website just to check how much will shipping and tax cost and it was a lot so I closed website and now you guys sended me 4th mail to encourage me to buy it. This is unbelievable, I was thinking about buying this razor in EU retailer but I won't. Your spam I just toxic
