Constantly post leaflets in my letterbox which shows how desperate they are for new business. Once received 2 leaflets on the same day. On average these guys post a leaflet every 1 or 2 months for the last 5 years.

Rude and unprofessional

Unprofessional - called them about a leak underneath gutter, was told they'll come around in 2hrs to see and give a quote. 3 hours later, called to say will be half an hour, an hour after than said will be another half hour. When the guy arrived, he tried to find things to fix on my roof THAT WAS NOT RELATED TO THE LWAK - then proceed to tell me that to help given any indication of the leak they would need to lift some tiles so might as well REPLACE ALL TILES in the roof. I asked if the other areas of the roof could contribute to the leak that I called them for - he said NOT REALLY. Simply just want to get your money and not helpful.

This company dumps litter into your letterbox even though it is clearly labelled No Junk Mail. Please don't give them business, they have no respect for people.

Junk mailers and junk business

I live in a block of flats, so why on earth would I want endless junk mail about driveways, patios and loft conversions? Yet this company keeps forcing their leaflets through our letterboxes, littering the place with pointless adverts that 99% of residents can’t even use.

It’s lazy, disrespectful marketing – and it tells you everything you need to know about how they’d treat a customer. If they can’t be bothered to think about who they’re targeting, I wouldn’t trust them to handle something as important as building work.

All they’ve managed to do is annoy an entire building of people and waste huge amounts of paper. Avoid them.

Gave me a quote of 250k for a 80k job and they wanted cash.
Also polluting the streets with their leaflets.
These guys are goons.

There was a leaks in my ground floor kitchen from right above the bathroom. In January 2024 I called Hi-Line, they came to check and told us leaks is from bathtub and plumbing under neath of bathtub. We had no choice so told them to change. They came up with narrow bath tub and told my wife the size of old bath tub doesn’t come anymore. They fixed the bathroom leaks. After 1 year and 3 months later starts leaking again. I called Andy this morning and he sent his son to look at my bathroom. But his son told me it’s chargeable, I asked him was not it under 10 years warranty as shown in leaflet? He told me not for the plumbing. In the 1st place I called them because of leaks from the bathtub and plumbing underneath. If their job doesn’t last more then 15 months then what is the 10 years warranty Is for? Now we end up with narrow bathtub still leaking from bathroom after spent 4k.

On 27/12/23 Andy was dropping off flyers in my neighbourhood, and knocked my door to say he was doing a 50% one off deal, only for work completed on that day. He did not introduce his name, or ask of mine, or request a contact number. He explained that the fascias, soffits & guttering on my house, may need some attention which I agreed with. I was somewhat weary that he only took cash/cheque as my bill would be over £1,000, and not many people handle cheques nowadays or have that much cash to hand but foolishly went ahead anyway. He and his team arrived 2hrs later as promised, and the work would be completed within the 2rh window. Andy and his team seemed focussed, diligent, and the area were debris fell was cleared up adequately. There was an issue, and the team came back the next day to rectify it. I received a 10-year guarantee receipt when the job was completed which if needed I could use as proof of work done. I did have some concerns but waited to see if they came to fruition and if any issues would be resolved. 2025, since the job was completed, and approximately a year later, I raised concerns about a consistently leaking gutter and was told on two occasions to expect a visit but on those two occasions, no visit and no contact from the company. I was not asked to give an address of the location so knew there would be no visit. Out of sight out of mind and move on to the next sucker! Hi-Line are just door-to-door-salespeople/rogue traders. Tread carefully. The 10 year guarantee is not legit. Now I need to find a reputable company to rectify their shoddy work.
