I called and was promised a callback to update me on delivery … never happened.

Pintles ordered with gate hinges were not the correct size
I ordered gate hinges that I wanted to use in a masonry veneer wall. I looked for longer pintle's designed to work on masonry and the description of the pintles I ordered with the hinges said they would work with all their pintle gate hinges. When I received the order it was obvious these pintles were not intended for use with the gate hinges I ordered. This should have been caught at the order stage and I should have been warned that the pintles I ordered would not work with the straps I ordered. There is not enough detailed information on the specific items about what applications would be compatible.

It is also extremely difficult to keep our shipping staff educated on how everything works together and various compatabilities. I spoke with several people and all were helpful. I sent pictures of the hinge I was trying to replace. They got back to me and recommended two different hinges. I ordered both and if they all work I will use them now and in the future. If they do not, I will send them back. I really appreciate the help!

Trevor, you did order very small inexpensive hinges from us. These are National Hardware products which are known for their quality at great prices. Not sure what you mean by closing all the way. We have seen this before where our customers are not mortising out the wood properly which can affect installation and use. However, our staff is always here to assist you with any issues you have.
