Avoid this company!!! Mum and Dad had stairlift installed and after 3 weeks it broke leaving a trip hazard in an elderly persons home. They reported the issue over 6 weeks ago and it's still broken. When you call they say it's been reported but never offer a timescale of repair. They say they will call back but you don't hear anything so have to ring back again, you fill out the website form no reply or response. Quick to have my elderly parents money though.

Ash arrived a little early but no problem he was polite and got immediately to work and was very neat and tidy from start to finish leaving the area clean and tidy and made sure both my husband and I were happy and comfortable using the stair lift before he left

Everyone I have spoken to during the process has been great. However communication between point of sale to fitting was poor. Have to add that Fitting on the day by John was excellent- who was very professional and helpful. Overall I would recommend this company but a lot of stress could have been avoided for me if their process for communication had been better

I had an excellent experience with Homelife Stairlifts from start to finish. The whole process was straightforward, and the customer service was outstanding. Paul was professional, friendly, and incredibly helpful throughout. He explained everything clearly, answered all my questions, and made sure the stairlift was installed perfectly. I needed a stairlift for my mom who was due to have major surgery. Homelife were due to fit the stairlift ready for before the operation date. The operation got moved forward due to a cancellation and Homelife stepped up and fitted the atairlift in time. My mom was able to leave hospital and go upstairs and rest in her own bed. A big thank you to Gary who organised everything, David who came out to give the quote and explained everything and the fitters who were all amazing. It was one less thing to worry about during an already stressful time. They were also better priced than their competitor Acorn who were asking more for a reconditioned stairlift.

John came to install a stairlift 20July 2026.
I asked if he needed a lift with anything from his van, he said he was fine.
He went ahead got the gear in and started without hesitation, really nice guy to talk to, when he was done he showed me how everything worked, asked me to sit on the chair took me up and down the stairs.
Very happy with the lift.
Once again John is a nice guy.

Unfortunately due to mobility issues and living in first floor flat we decided to have a stair lift installed.
I put a search into the Internet and were recommended 3 companies who would contact myself. Homelife were the first and spoke to lucy she was very helpful and very professional call. Another company called and sent a salesperson out the next day, only to discover they could not meet our needs. The third never got in touch.
Homelife asked for photos to be sent to them and we discussed that we required a heavy duty curved stairlift. They gave me a written estimate by email and I ordered from them the next day spoke to Ross in sales it was simple and very easy. As it is heavy duty and curved lift it took around a month to be delivered then installed, John in customer services was great help arranging installation.Paul the engineer was very pleasant helpful and his work was very clean and tidy. I must say if you need to get a stairlift I would highly recommend Homelife. Everything has been very easy.

Paul made it very easy to understand how to work the stairlift and was very happy and the installation was efficient and quick and it was very good overall

Speedy and very clean

After Homelife didn’t turn up on the day they arranged, I telephoned to be told the salesman had been held up unexpectedly at a previous call. No one let me know, which was disappointing as I’d stayed in for the visit. The salesman then phoned a few minutes later with a story that he was planning to come at 2pm. I said that I would never have arranged that time as I’m out every afternoon.
I then thought I would give them another chance. On the second occasion he was 5 mins late. No apology.
After the normal sales talk, measuring etc I asked him if the stairlift would charge at any point along the track and he said no stairlift did this. He then said I’ll go and check with the office, which he did and then came back and said I’d been tricked by any company that told me this as no stairlift has that capability.
I was surprised that a company would make a completely untrue claim and he said they’ll do anything to sell.
In fact they do make such a stairlift, and I’m buying one that does just this.
Ironically it was him that told me untrue information whether he knew it or not.
I have told the company my experience.

We asked four firms to visit and quote for a curved stairlift. The Rep from Stairlift was extremely knowledgeable and explained the process from start to finish. We had no doubt we would ask Homelife to provide and install. Paid deposit when we ordered on 13th May - agreed installation today 9th June. Told Engineer would arrive beetween 8.00am and noon. He arrived at 8.07 am and spent 30 minutes to fully aquaint himself with the specification. Showed me the plan and asked to confirm it was what we ordered. Installation completed by noon. Engineers tested the lift twice, then invited my wife to use it and then I used it. Easy operation, safe and secure despite our open staircase. All round excellence and we are delighted.
My wife and I are both mid-eighties and beginning to feel unsafe using our stairs. Children pushed for us to have a stairlift and there is no doubt it is going to make a huge difference to the quality of our life at home. A A massive 'Thank You' to all the team at Homelife Stairlifts and we wish you all ongoing success.

On the 28/1/26 paid1300 for six months rental and to pay £40 pounds a month after month six 10th February stairlift put in 28th april stairlift removed due to the passing of my wife. On the 1st of may £40 pounds was taken from my account i was told it was a mistake three times i have contacted them and still i have not received money back. The customer service is appalling my advice as i said in my first review is avoid this company it is bad enough dealing with the grief of losing my wife of fifty five years and to get this treatment is not acceptable you have been warned avoid

The installation was carried out quickly and efficiently. The installer, Paul, was friendly and very helpful and explained everything clearly. This stairlift is going to make such a difference to our lives, we couldn't be happier.

Excellent Paul is brilliant at his job and answers any questions about install. No mess and good company no pressure selling and shows videos of equipment... 10 out 10. Would recommend to any one. Stairlift will change my mums life and confidence.

He took us through the controls, and even promised to order the red seat cover that wasnt included as requested.

From start to finish 5 star service, from initial call, to sales rep coming, to installation, was smooth, no stress no hastle. My installation was done by John, who was extremely knowledgeable, professional and extremly tidy.(better give Ash a mention too) both men a credit to the company.

Great team of John and Ash came and fitted my Homelife Stairlift, they worked quickly and with care and fully explained how it worked after the installation. I can only recommend the service I received

Thanks Ash & John for coming to install my chairlift, work was carried out professionally, thanks. Had a slight problem with the sales person I was dealing with in there office he just kept on talking over me. The problem was eventually solved.
