Excellent product and ordering experience.

I love all of my Home Of Wool products! We have two mattresses, headboard, cushions, duvets, blankets and pillows for the whole family! My boyfriend has an allergy from home dust and after he started to sleep on the mattress with wool fill, his discomfort just stopped!
All products are handcrafted and very beautiful!

My wife and I found the bed to be uncomfortable to sleep on. When I enquired about returning it to get our money we spent on the mattress back, I was told that would not be possible. Now I’m wondering what to do with this close four thousand dollar mattress.

I waited a few months to write this as I wanted to sleep on my mattress for some time to make sure I was still as pleased with it as when it arrived.

1. When it arrived, after getting all the packaging that it of course Has to be mailed in, it smelled really good! Like wool & linen, rather than like synthetic foam fake stuff, or fire retardants & other chemicals.

2. It was well packaged! while overall I'm pretty anti plastic, there really Are some things it has to be used for as anything else is just too expensive/impractical. They did a great job of packaging the mattress, first in layers of cello, then a very thick dropcloth like? plastic on the outside. You could see some areas where something in the shipping container had probably Tried to punch holes in it & been utterly unsuccessful because they wrapped it in a few layers. (thankfully.)

3. The workmanship on this is simply Divine. I am not a very small woman & yet this mattress has held up very well. The sewn tufts & things look great & show no sign of not being up to the job. (and it all LOOKS like a work of textile art to me!)

4. Its way more comfortable than I expected! I ordered my mattress because I am allergic to a lot of synthetics, dyes, etc. I had to, by necessity go for the thinnest mattress & was worried it would be too hard for me, but somehow a 3 inch wool mattress is just Not the same thing as a 3 inch foam one. This is wonderfully comfortable despite my having gone down from an 8 inch wool & cotton mattress to this one. (My old mattress was great, but I'm no longer strong enough to turn an 8in thick mattress over as one should now & then.) While a thicker version might be good if you have pain syndromes, fibromyalgia, etc....I don't & found this one to be fine for me.

5. Speaking of needing to turn the mattress...in the past, cotton or wool futon mattresses from other companies, I've had to flip them every couple of weeks or they would start to show wear, like a birds nest in the middle. This one has none of that. I'm thinking I will be able to turn this one far less often for that reason.

The only thing I will caution against, & common sense should say this Anyways, but as many of us are quite used to overnight shipping & all that craziness these days....your order Will take some time to arrive. Home of Wool completed the order in I think a week or so? Something quite reasonable for a made to order product as mine was, but it took a loooong time to arrive plus sat in customs for awhile once it arrived here. That's the only way that you could expect them to have reasonable shipping, but boats are not the fastest things :)

All that said, it's WELL worth the wait, just be sure & have something else arranged to sleep on for awhile & have patience. Home of Wools products are well worth the time quotient. I smile every time I change the sheets because it's the prettiest mattress I've ever slept on plus I love that while it Did take some fossil fuels to get it here from afar, it won't sit in a landfill for a thousand years at some point, the way I assume most of the syntheticky ones will.

Today is the 19th of Feb., The tracking number House provided shows that my materials are not en route as they promised...

I love my mattress topper. My sleep is definitely better due to temperature regulation and even my little dog sleeps better on it.

their customer service sets a new standard-- responsive, patient, going above and beyond to double check the details. I was concerned 2 inches wouldn't give me enough padding, but after a few weeks of enjoying these headboard cushions, I wouldn't change a thing. they are just the right balance of supportive and soft. I knew wool would be more expensive, but I was really wanting a couch without any plastic. this way I was able to DIY two small metal headboard and one king-size wooden headboard around a twin bed, add a wool mattress and wool headboard cushions, and voila- a non-toxic, sustainable couch (still much cheaper than the ready-made couches)

IMPRESSIVE!!! This is the third time I have ordered from HOME OF WOOL and I am always THRILLED with the quality and workmanship. Over time I have been replacing seat and bench cushions and I have found that there is NO COMPARISON … you will never be disappointed. THANK YOU!

Home of wool makes beautiful and healthy products! I have purchased multiple custom cushions, and I will order more. Every time I deal with the Home of Wool, I’m amazed at the quality of their customer service.

You took my money and never sent the sample I paid for. Kindly send my sample and maybe this review will changed.

I ordered a mattress it’s arrived but too short in length. I notified the company immediately who requested photos. Sent photos then they wanted more. Finally sent more photos & video showing there mattress doesn’t fit base of bed & too short. Eventually they replied trying to say mattress needs more wool when it’s completely full & got lots more wool than there recommended amount.
Company refused to give any compensation for there product that does not meet requirements.

I am so grateful for the finely crafted bed. To my surprise the wool keeps me warm in a cold winter climate. I feel grounded with my beautiful, hand crafted mattress.

Words can hardly express my appreciation for Home of Wool. Their commitment to a quality product and their superb customer service, is a rare find these days.

I think it’s really cool to be able to order a body pillow to my preferences. The quality is great. It is a little thicker than I like and I am waiting for it to compress some. But I worry that majority of the compression will occur in the middle of the body pillow.
Another aspect that I didn’t realize would be bothersome is the dangling zipper. When my foot touches it in the night it wakes me up a little. I know u can specify to have it tucked in (or something like that) but truthfully these pillows are so expensive that it would be nice if this was just automatically included (I think it cost extra).
Also, this product is made in Bulgaria or Bolivia….idk if that makes a difference for anyone.

Great information. It's hard to buy a mattress without trying it but the website described all the options well enough that I felt confident in my buying decisions.
