Buying a house and you need a surveyor, this company is brilliant. Junior spent 4 hours at the property I am buying, I recieved a 43 page report with lots of photographs detailing the whole house. A througher inspection with recommendations. I received the report within days and then by post. Excellent service, very professional. I am now buying a property with condience. Thank you Homestead

Having lived in a Victorian property since 2008, We have experienced, Condensation, Rising Damp, Dry Rot, Heat Loss, Water Intrusion, and the list goes on. We have had builders, tradesman and surveyors visit the property and make recommendations on how to fix the problem but the problem still exists. We were recommended Homestead Inspections and reached out to them to perform a full survey of the property. From the initial call with Junior to the first on site conversation, to the verbal observations and advice, to the detailed easy to understand formal report (with supporting documentation and images) and post report conversations. I can safely recommend Homestead Inspections as providing both the highest customer experience and technical know-how and would not consider using anybody else other than Junior. We have been experiencing massive heat loss within our kitchen which resulted in ourselves looking to have cavity wall insulation. We asked Homestead Inspections to visit our property and determine what is happening in our kitchen & if we needed cavity wall insulation. Following the report, Homestead Inspections identified the problems (with the use of a thermal imaging camera) which allowed them to provide a detailed report (which resulted in ourselves not requiring expensive cavity wall insulation). We are now in the process of carrying out the remedial works to the effected areas that where identified in the report. Junior (from Homestead Inspections) was very helpful in what repairs and actions we would need to consider to rectify the heat loss from our kitchen.

Homestead came out to my property after experiencing issues which we thought was caused by roof/insulation or guttering issues. We had a couple of roofers come out to the property and advise what was needed but it actually turns out it was just condensation. Homestead were completely clear, knowledgeable and honest and have helped save us money and time on a roofer. I would highly recommend to friends, family and clients.

Absolutely amazed the job by Junior and homestead inspections, upon arrival I could I got the right person. He was very professional and I could tell he knew what he was doing. It didn't take them long to identify the problem I was having with my floorboards. They discovered that my floorboards and joists was rotten due to a leak coming from my waste water pipe. They identified that the joists had absorbed all the damp from the leak and spread throughout the whole dining room. Junior recommended a whole new floor to be put down and explained everything very easily so I could understand of what they found and the cause of the problem which I found very helpful. They also explained that due to it being a leak from the waste water pipe that has damaged the floor they advised me to seek an insurance claim due to the leak being at no fault of my own, we are going through the claim now and it's looking good to get the money off the insurance. We had regular texts aswell asking how the job was going and texts recommending things which was really nice to see. All new joists was installed and new flooring aswell they recommended air bricks to be installed so a flow of air is constantly there for the wood to breathe. I can say I am extremely happy and gracious for homestead inspections and Juniors time and effort. I really couldn't recommend them enough. Thanks alot.

Chatted with Junior of Homestead Inspections to arrange the survey and it was all arranged for me. Very efficient. The quality of the report was just what I needed. I met Junior on the day of the inspection and he gave me his time to explain everything and have a chat. Really good service and a friendly approach. Felt involved at every stage. I rang junior for information regarding my roof and he came out the following day. He reassured me and talked me through everything he was doing and I received my report the following day through the post. It was very in-depth and explained exactly what needed doing as well as receiving an email with everything on. I would definitely recommend.

I acquired a property after the passing of my mother. I was unsure of what condition the house was in and what my options where.

I asked Homestead to conduct a survey on it so had something to start with.

I wasn't aware that the property had fleas as it had been vacant for a while. Junior was able to sort this and arranged the removal of the carpets and other soft furnishings as well as the treatment.

The survey identified areas were work was required and provided me with cost estimations for a few different scenarios.

I now have a better understanding of my options and costs involved should I decide to sell or refurbish the property.

I very rarely take the time to write a review however in this case I feel I should make an exception due to the first class service I received from Homestead Inspections.
I have a small property portfolio that I manage from abroad. This often causes problems when faced with repairs as I am at the mercy of the competency and honesty of tradesmen I cannot meet on sight.
I recently received a large estimate to carry out some remedial repairs due to water ingress around the windows to the front of one of my properties.
As the front of the property had recently been "K" rendered I suspected that the contractor had not identified the problem correctly so I instructed Homestead Inspections to complete an independent report.
The inspection was conducted within 48hrs and I received the report the same day. The report was extremely detailed in content and pinpointed the exact problem with supporting photographs illustrating the issues. The report also identified additional works that were required that I was unaware of. I was advised by the inspector on the correct remedial repairs required to rectify the problems The remedial work proposed by the contractor would not have solved the problem and would therefore have been a waste of a substantial amount of money on my part.
I am extremely impressed and satisfied with the knowledge, and professionalism shown by Homestead Inspections and will definitely be recommending their services in the future. Nik Turner
