I need to start by saying the 2 star review is related to one issue, but a large issue! When I signed up for the property I was not given the correct plans and scales and therefore wasn’t aware that I would be sold a property with what I effectively call a hole in my garden. Hoober after 5 months, although thought it required a safety fence right outside my back door to protect me from my own garden! (yes that’s what I look at through my lovely glass doors), have not come up with any solution and just feels like they are stalling me rather than fixing the issue.

Again this is not related to the lady that does after sales as I’ve been really happy with that. This is a different department who don’t seem to understand that if they have to build a safety fence (when I asked for it to be removed, they said they couldn’t because of health and safety), then by their own admission, something is not right.

I’ve now been living in my Hoober Home for three years, and I can honestly say I’m extremely happy with the decision to buy one. I actually work in housebuilding myself, so I’ve got a pretty good understanding of what to look for in a new home and, what to be wary of.

I probably looked at the build quality, finish and attention to detail more critically than the average buyer, but was impressed with the quality of finish. Three years on, I’m still very impressed with what I bought.

I’d happily recommend Hoober Homes to anyone considering buying a new home. From my perspective, as someone who works in the industry and knows the difference between a house that simply looks good and one that has been properly built, I’m very happy with the quality I’ve experienced.

I had my Hoober Homes Options appointment at Pennine Mills with Chris today, and I honestly couldn’t be happier with the experience.

From the moment I arrived, Chris made me feel so welcome and at ease. He was incredibly friendly, patient, and knowledgeable, taking the time to explain everything clearly and helping me through all of the choices without ever making me feel rushed.

It was also lovely to meet Henry, who was so friendly and welcoming. Everyone I met made the whole experience feel personal and enjoyable.

I absolutely loved the appointment, especially seeing the fantastic range of options available to personalise my new home. There was such a great selection to choose from, and it made the whole experience really exciting. Being able to customise different aspects of my home made it feel so much more personal, and I left feeling even more excited about moving in.

Chris’s enthusiasm, professionalism, and genuine willingness to help made a real difference. He answered every question with patience and made the whole process enjoyable and stress-free.

Thank you so much to Chris, Henry, and everyone at Hoober Homes for such a wonderful experience. It was one of the highlights of my new home journey so far, and I can’t wait to see all of my choices come together in my beautiful new home!

After a difficult house buying journey we decided to purchase a Hoober home and the team have been nothing short of amazing! Hoober Homes stand out from the rest of the new houses I’ve previously viewed. They use quality materials inside and out and finished to a very high standard.

The staff are extremely helpful and knowledgeable, making the whole process work without the stress.

The Woodland Grange site at Camblesforth is the best new estate I’ve seen. Plenty of green space, paying attention to detail with landscaping.

Highly recommend viewing these properties if looking for a new home.

One of the highlights for us was the options appointment, where we got to choose all our interiors. The build quality and finish of the house are excellent, and it’s clear that Hoober Homes take great care in their work. For a smaller developer, they really deliver on both service and craftsmanship. We’d highly recommend them to anyone looking for a well-built home with a personal touch.

It's been two years since we first started to deal with Hoober homes, we have found them hard work from start to finish. We have 6 months left of the so called 2 year warranty and we can not wait to stop dealing with them. Be prepared to stand your ground or lower your expectations.

We have had an amazing experience with Hoober Homes so far ! Buying your first house is scary but Henri has helped us at every step so far and been there to answer any questions whenever we needed. Honestly couldn't have asked for a better experience. Hoober have listened to use and took on board everything we have had to say, it has been lovely.
