I ordered two dresses from Hoxton Gal via Debenhams, which I returned within 24 hours as they didn’t fit. One refund was processed without issue, but I received nothing for the second dress. There was no communication or explanation, so I had to chase Debenhams to find out why.
Debenhams eventually received a response from Hoxton Gal, who stated that the dress was worn and stained and would not issue a refund. After further back-and-forth between Debenhams and the seller, Hoxton Gal finally provided a photo — a close-up of some stained beige fabric, not even the full dress. There’s no way to know if it’s even the same dress. I never wore the dress, only tried it on briefly, and returned it in the same condition I received it.
If the dress they claim was stained really looked like that when it arrived back, it suggests it must have been sent to me in that condition. I did not notice any stains at the time, but the point remains: I did not cause any damage.
I’ve seen at least one other customer post a review describing a similar issue, where Hoxton Gal refused a refund claiming the returned item was stained. Hoxton Gal responded to that review stating that they do not accept such returns to protect customer health. If that is their reasoning, it clearly wasn’t applied when they sent the dress to me in the first place.
Debenhams wasn’t much help either. Their only suggestion — whether their own or Hoxton Gal’s — was that I pay for postage to have the dress returned to me, which is not acceptable. I do not want the dress returned, particularly given the claims about its condition and the fact that it didn’t fit me.
This whole experience has been extremely disappointing, and I’m left feeling like the customer is always wrong. I would strongly caution others before buying from Hoxton Gal.

I have been trying to return an unwanted product. I have been sent round and round on their website. Also the e-mails I have sent have been returned and no one has replied to my requests on their chatline. There customer care is lacking and I will not be using their site again.
I have also emailed Debenham's customer service and that email too was returned. I noted that other customers who are experiencing issues with returns were advised to contact Hoxton Gal on the same e-mail address that I have tried to contact them on which was returned undelivered. Very frustrating!!!!!
I have received a response on the chatline advising me to visit the royal mail site again but this time to look for Gir Fashion Networking Ltd. I could not find this but found GLR Fashion which enabled me to print out a returns label. The companies address, etc. were exactly the same. I returned to the chatline and they confirmed this was the label to use. I have the parcel ready to post today and just hope that I will have no further problems and will receive my refund.
I am pleased that I was finally contact but suggested to them that if the correct returns information had been supplied this would not have been a problem and would have saved me a lot of time and stress.

Still waiting for a refund after nearly 3 weeks. Person on email has all my details and my tracking number etc but isn’t replying to my emails so I presume can’t find my return. Filled in your online form to try and get somebody different but not even a reply from that. No oher way of getting in touch. I need my £84 please

I wanted to return my item, I couldn't print at home, you sent me a royal mail link, followed the instructions in order to receive a QR code for the post office to print the label,
Tried several times, label downloaded, but no QR code emailed to me by royal mail,
I'm now concerned my item will no longer be viable for return, due to the time frame,
I'm assuming your IT isn't corresponding with the link you sent me.

Very happy with product. A lovely quality but unfortunately did not work for colour with what we needed it to go with. Service was excellent and blouse arrived very quickly and response from customer service re my return was first class, thank you. Will definitely use again.

Hoxton Gal has some positives, like flattering, well-made tops and responsive customer service, but mixed experiences overall. While issues like wrong deliveries and refunds were resolved eventually, communication gaps, like failed email addresses, need improvement. The company handles problems quickly when contacted directly, but smoother processes would make for a more consistent experience.

Lovely floaty order size 12-14 bit tight on chest so order 16-18 bit too loose but kept it cause the fabric is lovely x wish they had a size 14-16 maybe x

It isn't to best fit relaxted fit lack of shape no ways thats up to a 16 size felt like a size 20 and fabric is awful one wash it pilled hasn't been sewen well on hem or cuffs it had potential but not worth the money.
