Had lrg chicken doner & 6 pieces chicken & chips from Saprano’s in Gravesend. Chicken was dry & in a couple of pieces there was blood in the middle. The doner wasn’t doner, it was lumps of chicken cut up with soggy lettace. When I ordered with hungry house @ 6:20pm they said it’d be delivered by 7:20pm but when the order was confirmed the time had changed to 8:04pm. All in all I would never use HH or Sopranos every again. I didn’t bother complaining to them as I knew I’d never get a refund & certainly didn’t want more awful food delivered. Lesson learnt ☹️

Cancelled 1st Order but Held on to Money!
I'd placed an order only to be told 20 minutes later than it hadn't been accepted. They didn't make direct offers from their other providers and left it to me to have to make another order myself, they kept my money instead of cancelling the auth code they obtained against my card. They could leverage their technology in much better ways. Restaurants should be able to declare themselves too busy and Hungryhouse need to make offers from their other restaurants rather than making customers do everything for them.

Never fails to find a new way to disappoint!
Ordered a pizza which appears highly recommended on their site, it was terrible to be kind in words! Logged a complaint as we didn't eat anything was told to fill in a survey and maybe one day they will investigate it!!!! Kept asking what could she do for me tonight? More terrible pizza! We said no thank you, never again. If you going to try it GOOD LUCK! Deliveroo, UberEats or JustEats are far ahead on the game!

Ordered Two Fish & Chips from Family Kebab Fish Bar, Woodford via HungryHouse. Arrived ahead of the time quoted, food was lush, generous portions, very pleased.

Told me that order was cancelled but …
Told me that order was cancelled but restaurant had never received order. When queried told me that they didn't know when order was 'cancelled' so it was the system to blame. Understand that they will soon be part of Just Eat, the sooner the better. Rubbish organisation.

1.5 hours of waiting only to find out restaurant do not deliver to my area
I placed the order on the website, yesterday. Got a few texts saying order is placed and on the way, however after 45 minutes of waiting I then decided to call the restaurant, who told me they do not deliver to my area!! What is that about? Got a refund and the customer service said there is nothing else we can do, not even a sorry. oh, geee, thanks for a 3 pound note!

Not great.
Ordered a few times. The menus on their website don't match the menus of the takeaway meaning confusion and you often get the wrong food. Today recieved a chinese with no rice, HH offered a 3 quid voucher on a 22 quid order. a bit weird really.

First order through Hungryhouse - OMG - AVOID!!!!
First order through Hungryhouse. OMG! I have never seen such small portions of food from a Chinese takeaway! Really disappointing after waiting ages for the order to arrive. We were really hungry and sooooo disappointed! I'm going to tell everyone I can to avoid Hungryhouse. I guess the takeaway gives small portions so Hungryhouse can get their cut out of the deal. Not going to work very well if people don't come back though! The tiny portions of food that did arrive were stone cold. The mixed hors-d'oeuvres contained literally one dessertspoon of seaweed and out of meanness there were one and a half spare ribs (they actually sawed through a rib to make the portion tiny); what a joke!!!!!!!!!!!!

Terrible customer service food was …
Terrible customer service food was disguting and i mean disgusting...they did nothing to compensate me for throwing £20 in the bin after one bite...all they could offer was to write a bad review for the restaurant which they didn't even publish because I mentioned their own personal crappy service...AVOID...use just eat their customer service is great I'll be using them indefinitely from now on...

It is not possible to give a value of less than 1 star. So I am forced to give this 1 star.
Hungry house used to be a good service about 1 year back. Over the past year I find that not only do they have bad (both in terms of customer service and quality of food) restaurants included in their list, the agents are not available to take calls nor do they log complaints about their own service nor about hat of the restaurants. Today I have had a delay in getting the food after being provided a ETA and worse I have been left waiting for an agent from hungry house on the phone for over 30 min!
This is really not acceptable.

Awful customer service
Just hope that nothing goes wrong with your order as their customer service is useless. They lose the conversations you have had with them and lose your complaint emails and then say when you contact them a few days on it’s too late to do anything! Dreadful customer service.

I have an issue with a restaurant and Hungry House were not able to resolve the issue. They dont have any authority to act in the name of the client. They are just useless. I will never use the website again.
My food came really late, cold and so hot that we couldnt eat and they haven't been able to organise a refund. They are frustrating

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH HUNGRY HOUSE - USE JUST EAT
Hungry House refused to refund me for missing items and pink, undercooked food including meat which was clearly inedible.
I raised my dispute to a manager, whom also refused to refund me. I informed "manager" that I would be raising this dispute further with PayPal.
I opened a dispute, which is currently ongoing.
Because I have opened a dispute with PayPal, I've just been informed that my Hungry House account has been banned. All because I disputed a refund.
As PayPal is one of Hungry House's registered payment methods, I'm shocked and disgusted that such a large company would ban a customer simply for raising a dispute. After all, that is what PayPal is used for: secure, online payments.
The manager even suggested to me that I close the dispute in order to regain my account.
Very unprofessional behaviour from an apparently reputable company.

Terrible service waited two hours …TERRIBLE
Terrible service waited two hours before calling to ask where the order was, hadn't even been cooked, customer service is terrible, they don't listen, had to repeat everything I said, this is the secound time using them and the sexound time having a major issue with delivery times. AVOID
Also give up 30 minutes of your life if you need to contact them!!

Terrible service
Not only was the food cold when it arrived the order was wrong. My fries were freezing cold and I got a strawberry cheesecake ice cream instead of a chocolate Belgium one. I am allergic to strawberries and think this is unacceptable. When I then went on a live chat with hungry house they said sorry your food was cold. They then left me with no solution, no goodbye and no resolve. Very disappointed.

Food order had an estimated delivery time of over an hour, the establishment I was ordering from was less than a mile away from me. Food arrived over twenty minutes beyond the expected delivery time and was cold. I informed Hungry House about this and they were unsympathetic and simply suggested I leave the restaurant a bad review and wished me better luck next time. I found this lacklustre attitude unacceptable and unprofessional. I advised the Hungryhouse rep that in such cases at least a partial refund is customary, he said he would get back to me after confirming with the restaurant in question. He never got back to me.

Ordered and given a time but was more than half an hour late. Not even an apology when we had waited 1 hour 40 minutes in total. Food was ok nothing special but would have eaten a scabby horse by then! Rang and complained promised a call back but nothing and no apology. Zero customer service!

Waited two hours for order to then be told the restaurant would not deliver to my area. Although it stated they did on their app and there was a £5 charge.
Now deleted app will never use again.
Bit the first time been let down.

Rip off
This company is completely a utter waste of space. I advise others to stay well clear of them. Staff are rude and they always have payment issues.
If you like to be ripped off then thats the company for you :)
The company are quick to respond to negative feedback, but when you contact them they provide no solutions. They asked me to contact them, but yet again back at square one. They only want to appear to be responsible, but there is a fine line between what you say and what you do.
