My story
Hi Poppy, congratulations on your new little one! I purchased Birth Box a while back and had my little one in January. I’m now feeling strong enough to share my story and talk about my birth but I honestly could not have done it without the birth box so thank you. This was my first pregnancy and I so wanted to go the natural route- it looked so beautiful and I was so excited to experience it. I listened to the meditations and oxytocin bubble daily and did exercises and stretches every day to prepare myself. I ate the dates and drank raspberry leaf tea. I listened to the affirmations and repeated them to myself daily. My husband and I did the workshops together and we really enjoyed them and felt prepared and knew our birth options. However, I tested positive for strep b in the last week before birth and then my water broke before contractions started. I had to be put on an antibiotic drip, and then a hormone drip. I was not allowed a water birth or even to get in the shower. The hormone drip was changed every 2 hours, it was increased and decreased over and over and I could not get a steady rhythm when contractions started, it was incredibly hard to stay in the zone. My little one’s heart rate would rise and drop and rise and drop. We then had to get a fetal electrode monitor fitted on his little head which I really did not want- the first one fell off so we had to do it again. On top of that, my husband had to leave me alone at the hospital ( I wasn’t allowed to give birth in the birthing suite, it had to the be hospital) because our dog almost died while I was in labour; I told my husband to go, our dog is family and needed looking after but he struggled to leave me, called to check in regularly and was my rock even though he was just as terrified as I was. After 31 hours of labour, both my child and I were in serious distress. The whole time I listened to your voice to stay calm. My husband got back 10 minutes before I was wheeled into an emergency c section. I got an epidural placed - something else I really didn’t want, and kept repeating the affirmations to myself. The c section was terrifying, I couldn’t open my eyes. Otherwise I knew I would lose it. I just kept repeating the affirmations to myself, my eyes screwed shut. When my baby was placed on my chest, I opened them and immediately started crying. He was perfect and he was finally here. I honestly would have lost my nerve had it not been for you. It was like having a friend with me. It turned out that I had a velementous chord insertion with my placenta which was never picked up on and both baby and I were lucky to be alive. A lot of the hospital staff had never seen one before, so they were quite excited by it and all had to have a look! I do think my ability to stay calm, with all the work I had put in with the birth box, helped me to have a positive outcome for my birth. Thank you again, it could have been so different. He is 5 months old now and thriving. My body is slowly healing. If only you did a post partum box! Much love, Melissa xxx
Gave birth to my 3rd yesterday :)
Gave birth to my 3rd yesterday :). After a traumatic experience with the birth of my 2nd, I really prepared for this birth using your birth box program. I felt so empowered and advocated for myself to have a great birthing experience. Not to mention it is so true about what you say when you let go, that your body knows vocalization and positions are needed. The birth was fierce and I am proud of myself! Thank you!
So grateful I got the birth box!
I can only say I am so grateful I got the birth box!! I only got it in my third trimester and started listening to the tracks which immediately set a completely new mindset for giving birth for me. It was my first birth and I wanted to go unmedicated so I knew I would have to prepare myself well for it. The birth box helped me to see birth as the physiological process that it is and also provided me with the main tools to make sure I'm staying with myself and anchored during labor. I ended up being in labor for 25 hours and did it without pain relief, like I planned. I had practiced the breathing techniques during pregnancy and this is what got me through every single contraction. Absolutely recommend!
I just wanted to message to say thank you
I just wanted to message to say thank you SO MUCH for the ‘Oxytocin Bubble’.
I gave birth to my second little boy Vinnie on Wednesday morning and despite an extremely quick delivery I felt calm, informed and in control throughout and although I didn’t even have chance to have the tracks playing whilst I gave birth, your words of affirmation, breathing and calming presence from listening through pregnancy reminded me to trust in my body. I kept thinking as you say, the contractions are not stronger than you as they are you!
In short, I woke up in the night and within 10 mins felt the urge to push. Midwives arrived shortly after at our home and could see his head. Vinnie’s heart rate was constantly low following the back to back contractions so they advised transfer. After nearly giving birth on the bathroom floor then on the steps outside our house, I arrived at hospital and delivered 10 mins later. Vinnie was perfectly healthy and I felt empowered and in full control for the mad 3h.
The attending student midwife said it was the first time she had seen a Mother birth with no pain relief and she couldn’t believe the power of trust in my body and how I totally surrendered to the sensations; this is all thanks to Poppy and the oxytocin bubble.
You will never know how much of a difference you made in supporting me to deliver the completing piece to our family 💙
After two previous medicated births
After two previous medicated births, I wanted this one to be different. I bought the birth box package at around 32 weeks and loved preparing myself for labour. We had the most amazing birth with our third baby and I listened to the meditation tracks throughout labour and felt it kept me so calm and in the zone and gave me the confidence I needed in myself. Thank you!!!
Fast home birth
Poppy, I’ve meant to message for ages to tell you how Oxytocin Bubble and your course aided me to give birth at home. I listened to it every night falling asleep and it must have gone in somewhere because when my labour began (2nd baby) it was 0-100. No time for pool, salt lamp, playlist or anything I’d wanted - I was fully dressed clinging to the kitchen counter doing triangular breathing and trying to stay calm and baby was born on a towel on the living room floor after an 80 minute labour 😮💨 it didn’t happen how I thought it would but in the end it was perfect - the birth I needed. I wanted to thank you for making me know I could do it. Sounds weird but it was a totally neutral, ordinary, bodily experience that I just got out of the way of and let happen. Baby is four months today and thriving! Lots of love x
Raw and real
I gave birth to a healthy 9.3lb baby girl vaginally at 4:55am on 22.05.
Birth plan was to home birth with pool, dim lights, oxytocin bubble playlist on in the background.
I had been in fake labour for 4 weeks prior everyday having unpredictable contractions, some were short and long.
Finally Friday came and I was putting my son of 4 years to bed. As soon as I said, 'good night, I love you'. Contractions started and were non stop every 2-3 minutes.
I laboured at home from 7pm for first stage of birth. I asked not to be told how dilated I was and the midwives respected that.
I ended up needing to be transferred to hospital in an ambulance due their concerns around preeclampsia but I was more than happy to do what was needed to keep baby and myself safe. I was totally in the zone and continued with my calm, powerful state throughout the very bouncy wobbly ambulance ride to the delivery suite. It took me some time to figure out what position I wanted to be in.
However I finally found sitting in a upright position on the bed with my legs down, comb in one hand and gas and air in the other comfortable.
Overall my first stage of labour was 7 hours 20 minutes, and the duration of third stage of labour was 37 minutes.
I felt totallybin control, using gas and air to help me breathe through and down in each contraction.
When I got to a point in my head where I felt like I couldn't do it anymore I remembered you saying about transition and even though I did not say one word throughout my labour I was talking to myself the whole time in my head calmly. I remember my down breath wobbling at the end during transition and thinking uh huh! There's the change. Negative thoughts and my downward breath.
My husband was asleep in the chair next to me as I mooed loudly like a cow and I could see noone else was in the room. The next 3 contractions that came I had moved onto my back but to the right and felt my waters break gradually over each contraction. I then thought here we go, we are nearly there. Once I felt like my waters had fully gone I felt I had some time with nothing. I lent over to my husband, grabbed his head and started to stroke his hair, face, hands like I was lapping up the oxytocin I needed for the final part. He seemed confused of what I was doing as again I used no words but he just allowed me to do what I needed to do. Once I felt a contraction coming I took a deep breath in and my body took over. I bared down naturally and I had no pain. Naturally I pushed but it was like I couldn't help it. The pushing part felt great! I was shocked I wasn't feeling pain. I was enjoying it. Like I needed a really big poo.
I had help with the crowing of my babies head and with support she was born in a calm state. I was so happy that I had her vaginally.
I came away with a first degree tear and lived my experience regardless it wasn't what I had planned initially.
Your course and the oxytocin playlist gave me such a safe bubble that no matter what was happening it wasn't popping.
I thank poppy for the energy she brought me through her hypnobirthing course and playlist. It gave me so much power and space.
After birthing at 41 weeks I unfortunately hemorrhaged and lost 3 litres of blood. The midwife who assisted my birth respected my wishes of delay cord clamping leaving the cord to go limp and white however because of the emergency I was put under to stop the bleeding and to sew my tear as I was just into much pain.
I stayed in hospital for 4 days and recovered well from all the above I still am so happy with my birth experience. The staff at Watford general were amazing and even with complications after birth I was totally at peace the entire time.
I am exclusively breastfeeding and baby is thriving. I'm recovering well and again I can not thank poppy again for the hypnobirthing course and oxytocin bubble playlist. It gave me everything I needed ❤️

This course made me ready for labour 100%
Thank you for your wonderful course and positivity around birth ❤️
For someone who can’t get a blood test without fainting and gets high blood pressure results because of the feeling it gives me… I knew I had some work to do to get into the right birthing mindset.
I arrived feeling powerful, ready and not scared. I was determined to meet my baby and give them a safe delivery.
Your oxytocin track mixed with a few pop and old school classics got me to 8cm in the birthing pool 💖 elated I got to experience that.
I had an emergency c section ending due to babies position and worrying heart rate. But as I type this, he is safely asleep on my chest and is the greatest gift I could ever have asked for.
I shall continue to recommend your course and mindset ❤️ THANK YOU

The birth I was hoping for
After a 3 day induction with my first I was really hoping to go into spontaneous labour and experience a natural unmedicated labour.
After 3 weeks of prodominal labour I started to have more consistent and stronger contractions throughout the day. I was having to stop and breath through them but they were manageable so I thought this can't be it. Ran myself a bath and put on my favourite show to really get the oxytocin going that night. 10.30pm I started to time contractions as it started to ramp up, had my birth comb and oxytocin bubble going and I felt so calm. By 1am we were on our way to the hospital, unfortunately we didn't get a chance to have a water birth as my baby girl came 30mins after we arrived and only 10mins of pushing. It was intense and fast but could not imagine a more perfect birth. I was so frightened going into a natural unmedicated birth with my second but once I started your hypnobirthing tracks I started to feel excited for birth and able to experience it. Truly is incredible and I'm in awe of what the female body can do, thank you!

Felt empowered and in tune with my body thanks to birthbox!
Hi! Its been 9 months since the birth of my second baby boy, but i still wanted to let you know how grateful I was for your birth box, i had an all natural - no intervention - birth, and my boy was born within an hour after a night of - calmly and presently- breathing through my contractions at home before heading to the hospital. Things slowed down at the hospital and I had to get in the right mindset again, my husband and I listened to some music, did some dancing, and then went on a short walk…keeping things light…Once the contractions ramped up (and o they did!) my body took the lead completely, i ended up roaring my baby out on all fours back in the delivery room, it was incredible, and so powerful. When I felt the ring of fire, I paused and took a deep breath in and out again, i knew we made it….my baby and I we did it, I felt so well prepared and i have to say this was because of listening and watching all your birth preps out here, thank you so much!

Thank you Poppy.
Poppy. I just had my second baby, contractions started at 9.30 this morning, got to the hospital at 15.30, was sent to the delivery room immediately (they had a water birth delivery room available) baby was born at 17.22. No gas, no epidural, lucid the whole time. Not going to lie i started feeling like I couldn’t do it right before the head came out. But my husband, the team and most importantly your oxytocin bubble track brought me back and the head was out within 3/4 pushes.
Baby came out in the sac, they called him a lucky baby :)
THANK YOU Poppy.
Your Oxytocin Bubble track played from the very beginning to the very end, i wouldn’t have been able to do it without your support.
Baby boy is getting seen now, but they said he seems to be doing very well, just waiting for them to clear him so i can have him back.
They let me get him out the water myself and then we did skin to skin for the next two and a half hours, delivered the placenta and then cord clamping ❤️

The Oxytocin Bubble Album
As a first time Mum I wanted to ensure I had all the of tools needed when preparing for the birth of my beautiful daughter Maeve. I have followed Pop That Mumma for the full duration of my pregnancy and used the Oxytocin Bubble Sountrack throughout my 40+5 weeks of pregnancy. I genuinely don’t think I would have had the birth of my dreams if it wasn’t for each of the tracks. I had a wonderful pool birth with the ‘Tracks on a Loop’ through my speaker. My partner knew exactly which tracks I needed throughout as I experienced transition. I highly encourage anyone who is currently pregnant to invest in the Oxytocin Bubble. Without it, I would not have my precious Maeve the way I had envisioned. The breathing techniques truly kept me grounded, centred and in control of working with my surges. Thank you x

I had the oxytocin bubble playing throughout
I had the oxytocin bubble playing through my whole homebirth!
This was my first baby and something instinctual made me want to birth her at home in my safe place.
We had only just picked up the birthing pool from the hospital last Tuesday evening and she was born on the Thursday morning!
I had my doula, my partner and the midwives with me. But I also had your voice and your soundtrack on the whole time!
I felt safe and empowered and I breathed my baby out without any pain relief. It was wild in a good way and I’m so happy I got the birth I wanted!
We still haven’t left the house 😅🥰♥️

Amazing and more effective than other hypnobirthing courses!
Poppy,
I just wanted to thank you for your birth box course.
With my first daughter, I thought I was well prepared after months of hypnobirthing practice. But the message I took away was that if I relaxed deeply enough, labour wouldn’t really hurt. We were encouraged to avoid the word “pain” altogether and replace it with “sensations.” So when labour turned out to be incredibly painful, I felt shocked and like my hypnobirthing had failed me. I ended up having an epidural, which led to a cascade of interventions, and afterwards I carried a real sense of failure.
For my second birth, I wanted to know I had the strength to do it naturally, and I also wanted to prove to my friends that birth could be positive, as they had all been traumatised by birth stories from others. That’s when I found your course. I loved that you didn’t shy away from the reality of pain, but instead gave practical tools to work through it. Your comparison of labour to an athlete pushing through the intensity of a race really resonated with me. Practising the ice cube challenge and discovering how powerful vocalisation was at redirecting my focus felt like such a breakthrough.
At four days overdue, I was starting to feel pressured into a sweep or induction, which I didn’t want. So I decided to try all the classic labour-starting tricks — a long walk, a massage from my husband, and a romcom in the evening. Halfway through the film, contractions started. I still wasn’t convinced they were real until I stood up at the end of the film and my waters broke!
The contractions weren’t painful yet, so I didn’t want to rush to hospital, but because it was my second baby the midwives told us to come straight in. My husband made me a hot chocolate for the 40-minute drive, and I listened to your oxytocin bubble track the whole way, which kept me calm and relaxed.
We arrived at 2am. My contractions were getting stronger, but I could still breathe through them easily. I’d written in my birth plan that I didn’t want vaginal examinations, and the midwives were amazing — they respected it completely and never asked me if I wanted one. Because I was so calm, they assumed I was still a long way off labour.
Around 4am, I got into the midwife-led unit with the birth pool, and things intensified quickly. We used the TENS machine, and I started deep vocalisations. Together, they worked incredibly well. I felt strong, focused, and completely in control. After only a few intense contractions, my body started pushing. We barely got into the pool before it was time.
I was pushing for a while, but the baby wasn’t fully descending in the water (despite trying lots of positions,) however I never felt panicked. The midwives suggested moving onto the bed, where I went onto all fours, propped up over a pillow. My baby was born two contractions later at 04:57 with my midwives reminding me to keep my body relaxed and pant through the crowning.
It was the most euphoric, empowering, and beautiful experience. I finally had the birth I had always hoped for, and I truly believe your course made the difference. The way you approach pain — honestly, but positively — changed everything for me. My husband even cheered me through contractions like I was an athlete, which helped more than I can explain.
I did use gas and air, as it helped give me a rhythm and focus for my breathing, but honestly It was the vocalisations that were the game changer this time round, I’m still shocked at how well they redirected my focus from the pain.
Thank you again for helping me have such a healing and empowering birth experience.
You, your birth box and soundtracks are incredible!

Fast and Intense Unmedicated Labor Experience
I began listening to the Birth Box tracks about halfway through my pregnancy with my first baby, and I could tell how it changed the way I perceived labor and delivery. I have always been scared of the entire birth process (especially the thought of an unmedicated labor), but as my labor began, I never once felt incapable or scared or like it was too much for me, thanks to the Birth Box. I was able to have an amazing, unmedicated, uncomplicated labor and delivery with Poppy’s help.
For the majority of my labor, I moved and breathed by myself at home, and when I got to the hospital, I was already 8cm dilated. My 8.5lb baby girl was born less than 10 hours after the start of my labor—definitely very fast and intense! I used the breath techniques and movement that I practiced from the Birth Box, and was able to have the best experience I could’ve imagined. Of course, not everything went exactly to plan and parts of my birth plan seemed to go out the window because of how fast labor happened, but I wouldn’t change a thing about any of it.
I definitely do not think I would have had such a positive experience if I had not prepared my mind and body through hypnobirthing. I will forever recommend Poppy’s Birth Box to anyone I know who is or will be pregnant.

Tools for an empowering birth experience
Listening to Poppy Childs Pop that Mumma Birth Box tracks gave me so many tools for my mind and breath and spirit. It got my mind ready where in the beginning of my pregnancy I was fearful of the pain but knew I wanted a physiological birth experience. It’s so worth buying and listening to her tracks.
A short on my birth story.
It was verrryyyy long. 32 hours…woah wild. The hardest thing I’ve ever done in my life and probably will ever do but I’m so happy I stuck to my guns and did what I wanted and followed my gut. Gave birth to a healthy baby boy that was 10 days “late.” They wanted to induce me because of his timing and my age(37). But I got a non stress test(baby’s heartbeat and amniotic levels were good) and I ended up going into labor the same day. My birth was a very empowering experience. I feel proud I had say over my body and baby and listened to your tracks to help get my mind right and change the fear tactics that are set out for so many women. Women are incredible! The body is amazing. And birthing a human is an other worldly experience. And I’m so grateful I was able to do it that way. Even though it was hard I would do it again(haha somehow!)! Plus he is worth everything. ♥️♥️♥️♥️!!
Birth Box gave me tools for my mind, my thoughts, my breath, letting go, creating a plan for things even if they didn’t go the way I wished and gave me the confidence that I could do it and knowledge of what my options were when I gave birth.
Thank you Poppy!!!

Loved the tracks
Hey! just wanted to write a quick review & thank you for your birthing tracks.
I’m in Aus & found you through the Great Birth Rebellion.
I had a successful home vbac on Saturday May 2nd, at exactly 37 weeks and was able to breathe my Bebe out with minimal ‘damage’ thanks to your breath work. I listened to the oxytocin bubble loop tracks all throughout the hours of early labour until transition. It was so reassuring as I’d become familiar with the tracks.
Many thanks

Thank you, I’m a midwife and I used your playlist for my 3rd trimester and it truly saved me from the edge of a spiral I was about to dive down as I approached birth from the perspective of some one who has been with women and families through so many outcomes, not all lovely.
So thank you so much for bringing me some calm and ultimately lending your strength and belief to me through the tracks which definitely gave my body and mind permission to trust the process, and I had a truly beautiful birth that has healed me greatly 🤍
