Bought a large garden umbrella with some assembly required. The assembly instructions were useless and wrong in some instances which ultimately I had to figure out myself. It has a solar powered light which is activated via remote controller which has to be charged with the provided USB charger. Seemingly hi-tec, but again usless as it does not work. Paid $570.

No stock ever
You would think if something is on the showroom floor you would be able to buy the product but no Hamilton doesn't have anything in stock. 4 times I've had this problem and this will be the last time. 2 month wait to receive ordered products or pay to have it ship from another store.
Then to have the sales rep say that popular items are sold out before they even get the item on the showroom floor is stupid.
Never shop there again!!!!

I purchased the Glinda queen bed last July 2025 and have been disappointed. By end of October I have discovered that the bed slats become mouldy and had also affect our mattress. I did not expect this level of poor quality of what I believed was a premium product and its been extremely disappointing.
The mould issue is particularly troubling because it directly impacts our health and sleep environment. I didn't noticed the problem immediately, it was inly after I started coughing for almost a month that I began checking our bedroom more thoroughly that's wnen I found out that the slats of our bed is already mouldy.

Jam was extremely helpful with the information she provided us. The item we wanted was not in stock and we needed to arrange pickup. They're able to hold paid items up to 2 weeks which gave us plenty of time to make our arrangements as we live a fair distance from Hamilton and the delivery charge was a bit too much.

This has been one of the worst retail experiences I’ve had in Calgary.
My wife purchased multiple items from this store, including a bed frame. She accidentally selected a King size instead of Queen size. The full order was delivered on Sunday, and as soon as we realized the mistake, I went to the store first thing Monday morning — less than 24 hours later — to request an exchange.
The bed frame was unopened and unused. We were not asking for a refund — only to exchange it for the correct size.
Instead of understanding the situation, we were told we had to pay a 20% restocking fee plus additional re-delivery charges. There was no flexibility, no consideration, and no attempt to help resolve the issue fairly.
I dealt directly with Tony, the manager, and honestly, I left feeling taken advantage of. Rather than trying to help a customer who came back immediately to correct an honest mistake, it felt like he used the situation to charge every possible fee instead of offering a reasonable solution.
Mistakes happen — but good businesses show customer care when they do. This experience made me feel like policies were used as a tool to extract more money rather than to support customers.
If you are shopping for furniture in Calgary, I would strongly recommend considering other stores that value long-term customer relationships and fairness.

3 stars because I received the chairs without the hardware. And it took them more than a month to arrange it. However, in this period of frustration, Mary followed up my complaint and kept me updated all the time. For Mary its a 5 star for her costumer support.
