Inspiration is an absolutely fabulous product! I've been using it as a classroom teacher since the early 2000's and as a multiple published book author through a commercial publisher. The use of Inspiration has cut my writing time down by 50% as being able to do the "thought-mapping" has made organizing my actual writing time much more efficient and enjoyable as I can see my writing path laid out for me.
The "outline" tool has also been extremely useful. It made my book editors happy as they were also able to see the overall plan before I did my actual writing.
As a humorous sidenote. English teachers at the high school I taught at [and they introduced Inspiration to their students] were concerned that the kids would forget how to outline as they could outline their thoughts at the click of a button. The kids loved the "one-click to an outline" button and it ultimately helped them create better outlines because they could visualize their thoughts in a more organized manner. Sometimes teachers have recalcitrant thinking that is counter-productive to growth.
Would you believe that when I was in the 7th grade [mid-1950s] teachers wouldn't allow us to use the "new" ballpoint pens because we'd "ruin our penmanship skills." In 12th grade calculus & trigonometry we weren't allowed to use the "new" handheld TI-100 calculator because we'd "forget how to add, subtract, multiply, & divide. "
I could go on but we'd all fall asleep. :)

The staff heard what people said and ATIA and they are already thinjing about how they can include suggestions into thier products. Very personalble staff who believe in thier product and are not just salesmen.

I first started using Inspiration with version 7 as a Mac user. In terms of the outlining capabilities I need, this software has no direct competition that can do more or be more effective in getting as much information managed, delineated and easy to communicate.

Until I see what version 11 has been able to do, I can only find fault with the outdated graphics capabilities that go back more than 15 years.

Brilliant software, really helpful for organising my thoughts. I write essays and stories and having adhd it has been a huge struggle the past few years. This has changed how I work, and hopefully going forward I won't be getting do tied up in knots because I'll have a logical process to follow.

I was one of the earliest users of Inspiration in UK and have introduced it in the schools where I worked. I still find it a sound, useful tool but I would like to be able to easily access pictures from beyond the app to supplement the very basic libraries of images. I used to be able to import clip art. It’s still hard to beat this app as a support to SEND students - and to university students with neurodiverse learning styles. Love it. Have recommended it over years to hundreds. Have also prepared my own training and development sessions for teachers using Inspirations. Quick fire is great for sparky gathering of ideas. Learning how others learn; teaching how to organise content - and with the flexibility to re-arrange at need.

I have used Inspiration for years to develop Websites and create process flow charts for manufacturers.

It has been the most intuitive software to use thus far.

Software is extremely helpful from the perspective of an autistic University student who struggles with planning essays. The only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is that the appearance of the application seems to be rather outdated especially for the newest version.

I have used Inspiration for over 12 years to create all kinds of teaching boards, business presentations, and to help me think through situations. I highly recommend it to any and all who are in positions requiring them to present complex ideas to groups of people. But I have also found it extremely useful as a thinking tool to figure out solutions for myself on a range of issues.

It is just a great product exceeding my needs.
