I was a first-time buyer and ordered a CD reader to retrieve old photos from my children’s CDs. When it arrived, the device was visibly misaligned and completely faulty. I returned it immediately and followed all instructions for the return.
To my surprise, the company later claimed that I had opened the device and “swapped the internal disk for an older disk from 2013.” I have no idea how to even open a CD reader, let alone replace internal components, and I certainly don’t have old parts lying around my home.
Because of this accusation, they refused to issue a refund and told me the product was now worth 0%.
This is extremely concerning, especially for new customers. I trusted this company, but after being blamed for something I clearly did not do, I no longer feel confident in their warranty or return process. I am sharing this so others are aware of my experience before purchasing.
