I came to Java with a story I wanted to tell, but absolutely no idea how to turn that into an online presence that felt like me. I was starting from essentially zero.

Java took the time to really understand me. Not just what I wanted to post, but who I am, what I care about and what I’m trying to say. The consultation itself was incredibly thoughtful, but what really surprised me was how much support came afterwards. She gave me detailed feedback, kept in touch, championed my work and has continued to encourage me ever since.

And the results have been so much bigger than a social media strategy.

With her guidance, I’ve started building an online space (first with Substack and now with Instagram) that feels completely aligned with my voice and my values. She opened my eyes to ways of using social media that feel creative, meaningful and genuinely mine, rather than following the usual formula for growing an account. Java didn’t offer quick hacks for growth or any of the usual generic advice you get. Instead she focused on helping me get clear on my story and how to tell it in a way that felt right.

But the thing I value most is the confidence she gave me.

Java has a real gift for seeing what is already there in someone, and helping them see it too. She didn’t just tell me what to do; she helped me believe that I had something worth saying.

If you’re sitting on an idea, a story, a body of work or a voice you know you want to share online but you’re overwhelmed by where to begin, I genuinely cannot recommend working with Java highly enough.

You don’t need to have it figured out before you start. That’s exactly why having someone like Java in your corner can make such a difference. As someone with no established following I found it extremely valuable to have someone help me see the value in what I wanted to share.

I recently took Java’s “Tell the story of you” 1:1 consultation. If you are like me who is trying to navigate through the world of instagram blindfolded then Java is the one who will remove that blindfold. I followed her about a year ago, she is one of the most creative and down to earth person you will ever encounter on social media. I am not a big fan of all the social media coaches out there who claim they have cracked code and you need to buy their secret formula. But I trust Java, because she made me see very clearly that I already have what I need to grow and she will help you to bring your own story to life. Her approach is simple yet meaningful with clarity. I only wish I could have known her sooner!

I recently took Java's workshop Tell the Story of You on Instagram. I loved Java's creative and insightful approach to a platform that can often feel noisy and driven. I came away inspired and feeling more confident about using Instagram to tell my story.

I had a session this morning with Java Bere about telling the story of your own home, and it was such a positive experience. In particular, the idea of a “love letter from you to you” was especially impactful and has really stayed with me.

She was warm, kind, and genuinely listened. I didn’t feel rushed, just supported. The advice felt personal and meaningful.

This comprehensive and inspiring self study course is easy to work with and will guide me as I design a program for myself. Tell the Story of Your Home I will adapt as I recreate my new story after leaving my country home of 50 years. I will use her directions and prompts to craft a visual story that I can share with others. I am so glad I found Java Bere and she is someone I am very excited to be working with. I am very careful about taking online courses and curate my purchases. She will be my go to beyond this course as my work unfolds.

Java’s Tell the Story of Your Home course changed not only my understanding of my home and how to style it, but also my understanding of myself—for the better. In the past I mimicked what I saw others do in their home in the hopes that it would work well in mine, but that plan often failed.

After going through the exercises, I learned how to methodically and thoroughly (though not rigidly) consider each space I was working on in my home to make it serve its needed purpose for me/my family in a way that is beautiful (and/or cozy, peaceful, joy-filled, safe, etc…you get to decide what traits are most important to you).

Interestingly enough, the same approach works well for personal style—I feel much better about making clothing choices after this course (not an intended course outcome but a happy and pleasant one for me nonetheless).🥰

Highly recommend this for anyone who feels even a little lost when it comes to home styling, anyone who loves to gather, or anyone who is looking for a change in their current spaces. ✨

Bought a few things from Java over the years, always beautifully and responsibly packaged, and prompt delivery.

So glad to have come across Java, so authentic and a real inspiration for anybody who loves all things creative. The interiors course is thought provoking and takes you on a real journey of discovery.

It was simple. I would add a U.S. v. U.K. conversion of the cost of the class.
