Two day delays

Out flight was die to leave at 9.30 on Weds. Flight cancelled. Put in a different hotel to my daughter. Flight re arranged for 8.15 the next evening from Kalamáta. No lunch provided despite email. Then with little notice told we had to go to Athens, which is three hours away. New flight left finally at 1.30am on Friday morning! No food on plane despite email to say pre booked food would be available. Would never fly Jet 2 again. So we meant to land at 10.30 on weds eve, got home at 5 am on Friday.

I couldn't be happier with the whole…

I couldn't be happier with the whole jet2 experience.Starting at Liverpool Airport the jet2 staff made everything run smoothly and we were informed of everything we needed to enjoy our holiday. We travelled to Gran Canaria puerto rico and stayed at the Sunset by Bull apartments. Although a tad out of the way 20 min walk to the shopping centre the hotel excellent. The apartment was immaculate and was cleaned every day the pool area was also endlessly cleaned and the staff worked tirelessly to keep it so. We enjoyed our well deserved holiday thanks to jet2.

I am extremely disappointed with Jet2's…

I am extremely disappointed with Jet2's handling of my holiday.

I am due to travel to Bulgaria on 4th August. The hotel I booked suffered a fire in May and was closed until recently. Although it has now reopened, I have received confirmation that building work is still taking place at the hotel.

Despite this, Jet2 continue to insist that all work will be completed before my arrival. Based on the information I have been given, I no longer have confidence that this will be the case, and I feel I have been misled.

I asked to change to a different hotel or destination because I don't want to spend my holiday at a resort where construction work may still be ongoing. Jet2 refused unless I pay a huge cancellation charge, meaning I would lose around 90% of the money I have already paid.

I have always trusted Jet2 in the past, but this experience has been incredibly frustrating. Instead of putting their customers first, they seem more interested in protecting their own interests. I feel trapped into taking a holiday that is not what I originally booked.

I would strongly urge anyone booking with Jet2 to think carefully about how they might be treated if something goes wrong before they travel.

Price Scalping for Changing our Destination

Jet2 websites implies a change to a booking is a simple process. I called to request changing a destination from a high end location Ibiza to Alicante on the same original day. The call handler whilst helpful, confirmed amended flights would add a further £176.00 to the £122.00 already paid. Having checked the Alicante flights prior to my call, the online cost would be £126.00 with no refund for the original flight. This would mean me paying £54.00 higher than the same flight. I’m appalled at this scalping, and the lack of consistency or recompense. Be ware! Check currently advertised costs against real time quotes by customer service.

Beware of price changes

I made a reservation 7 days ago for a flight only for 2 people. I paid 360 euros for the flight plus extras.
I checked the same flight today for some friends who are joining us and it's 130 euros cheaper?
I telephoned customer services and they are not prepared to offer any refund whatsoever even if I cancelled them. I've used Jet2 for over 20 years and I'll never use them again. It's an appalling way to conduct business. I'm furious about it!! They don't deserve the one star I had to give as there's no other option!

Shame Jet2

Booked a holiday 11 months in advance with Jet2 paid deposit £150 5 days later received email saying your flight has changed by over 7 hours both ways This ment I would arrive at my hotel in the early hours of the morning A DAY OF MY HOLIDAY GONE so a 6 night holiday instead of 7 Contacted Jet2 and they said you can change your holiday to another destination in 48 hours for no charge There was nothing suitable for us and then they sent me some recommendations costing up to £1000 more I thought they were joking I called back after searching myself and told them there is nothing suitable and I will cancel They then said I would loose £150 deposit They would not budge the said it’s in the policy and that’s it, I said but you made the changes not me and it was only 5 days ago that I made the booking They took my deposit and and cancelled my booking We are both pensioners so thanks for taking my pension Shame on JET2 I will never use Jet 2 again now will my family Please see other reviews as it looks like they do this regular PLEASE BE AWARE AVOID 👎🏼👎🏼😡

Used to be the best

Used to be the best. Now last 3 holidays delayed. Brought to airport 3 hours before flight. Delayed an hour, stood waiting to get on the plane and expecting further delays. Shocking service.

Like everyone else has said, charging a family of 3 to sit together is discusting, escpecially when already one of the expensive holiday providers

Disappointed with ✈️ only bookings.

I recently booked flights for my husband and I to travel to Madeira in December. We wanted to fly from East Midlands Airport but unfortunately EMA only offer flights to and from Madeira on Mondays. We are wanting to fly out before the Monday, midweek, and when I checked on the package holiday bookings, we could have flown out from Birmingham and returned to EMA on days that suited our schedule.
I went back to booking the flights only and tried to book the same flights as flight only bookings but I wasn’t able to. The flights had to be booked as one way flights individually which when I added to book, doubled the price of the exactly same flights on the same plane.
I tried to contact Jet2, and as other reviews have said, I was waiting on the phone for just over an hour to speak to someone. The chap was very friendly and polite and said he would try to see if he could book them at the original price of the flights when booked as a return flight.
After waiting on hold again, he returned and said that it wasn’t possible to do and that the flights were only sold at a discount if booked as a package or return flights.
I was very disappointed as I have flown with Jet2 many times and I have always found them to be the best company. I had also logged a call back on WhatsApp which eventually I got 8hours later.

I decided to check other flights and I was surprised to find that I could book the exact same Jet2 flights on Expedia as a package leaving Birmingham and returning to EMA for £500 less than Jet2 was trying to charge me for their own flights!!! This is crazy! Come on Jet2, get your act together, it’s so disappointing that you fail miserably when it comes to passengers wanting to book your flights only and not a package holiday. Needless to say I have booked our flights with Expedia and they are now showing booked on my Jet2 app as if I had booked through them 😅

Awful

Booked flights that were suitable for our young children to Turkey when they first came out to ensure a good price. 11 months before the holiday they informed us they had changed the flight schedule by 9 hours meaning travelling in the night. The flights the following days had not changed and were suitable times. Rather than just letting us swap, they demanded £750 to move the flights forward a day! I tried to contact them online and via whatsapp and it took 6 hours to get a response on the chat! The only silver lining is they have refunded the flights for the 5 of us but ruined our holiday. Since we booked it, flights have gone up in price significantly, so we will be out of pocket when booking with another company. I think this is why they did it, it feels like a scam. We are repeat customers, that will never use them again.

I want people to know you cannot trust Jet2 to provide clear details of what hotel provides.

I was lucky I was late May so not overly warn, however I feel sorry for people staying at hotel Jet2 advertised and having to pay these extra charges where not aware of.

Great experience with booking flights and assistance

I tried to book flights on the Jet2 website but the payment kept failing, so I called customer services. Muhammad helped me straight away, he asked me to clear my cache and talked me through the booking step by step. When it still wouldn’t go through online, he didn’t give up. He booked the flights for me himself, made sure my online discount was applied, and checked that I had everything I needed. He was genuinely brilliant.

Muhammad then transferred me to Assistance, where I spoke with Rebecca, and again the experience was outstanding. With other airlines, I usually have to answer endless questions about my wheelchair even after giving the make and model. This was the first time I only had to give the basic details and Rebecca found the specifications herself and completed everything for me. We were cut off at one point and she immediately called me back, which I really appreciated.

I also mentioned that on a previous flight with another airline, I was boarded at the front of the plane even though my seat was at the back, and it all happened while everyone else was boarding. Rebecca sorted seats at the front for both my outbound and return flights so I won’t have to go through that again. She reassured me throughout and was incredibly helpful.

A huge thank you to both Muhammad and Rebecca, they are a real credit to Jet2.

Very racist and rude company

The worst airline ever very rude and racist staff I was only 0.1kg over on my hand luggage and they said reduce it or I will be charged but strangely enough the white lady before me was 1 kg over yet they let her through

Jersey royal yacht hotel disappointing room

30 minute delay leaving waiting for disabled lift at airport. Flight ok staff pleasant. Royal yacht hotel jersey stay for 7 nights in gold superior double room. Was very disappointed that room had internal view overlooked by a number of windows with no private terrace was told to get marina view would need to upgrade to a a suite which would cost over a £1000 for 5 nights. The holiday had already cost £3500 so be aware if you book this class of room it has no view and no privacy. Curtains needed to be closed whenever you needed to get changed and other people could walk past the patio doors so needed to be locked at all times i wish I could have posted photos. We now know the windows overlooking the room and terrace belong to the council apartments next door. And the turndown service doesn't seem to exist. To change the temperature in the room you need to contact reception you cannot do this yourself. Altogether very disappointed

Nice Pool area. Rooms ok….tho you have a 90’s bath/shower. Food totally awful, no jugs milk for breakfast, cooks def not qualified. No Ice creams, strawberry, rasberry puddings, all pastry, jelly like Cockroach welcomed us into room

Sa Coma Hotel Platja Jet2 package on arrived at approx 3/4 in morning after delayed flight, strike action at airport etc etc & entered room on 5th floor and Cockroach greeting us. Persistent chap booking us in on front desk, with dated tablet came up prompt to locate Cockroach sprayed his aerosol that made my disabled daughter get sick & when she awoke in morning her eyes were all swelled up. We had tablets for her so not a good start….my review is so long & thorough you can read it on Tripadvisor for this hotel Platja Sa Coma. A real poor holiday, Jo public coming in off the street with family & friends using pool we are paying for? When I asked manager why they were allowed in he told me restaurant were offering ‘free’ use of pool if you ate in restaurant/cafe, lock on back gate open to anyone walking in off the street when I mentioned this to manager on Monday/Tuesday he told me ‘it was only for another day’ but we witnessed people coming in after all week till we left, notice board outside restaurant advertising free use of pool if you use restaurant, this was up all week advertising day before we left, saw manager 3/4 times in hotel near front desk, not once we see him walking around the pool monitoring loud groups nattering in pool using it for free as they supposedly ate in cafe. Lots of noise as ‘family & friends group of 25/30 talking out loud and not even swimming expect they were in for a wash as well. Read my more thorough review on TRIPADVISOR everything is as stated. Charlotte truly went above and beyond!

Our two-week holiday to Greece got off to a really stressful start when my daughter’s pram didn’t arrive at the airport. As any parent will know, travelling with a young child without a pram is incredibly difficult, and I was so worried.

After speaking to the resort representative, I was told there wasn’t much that could be done. I was informed the pram had been found, but I would need to collect it from the airport myself, which was around a two-hour transfer from our hotel. I was also told it would cost around €180 for a taxi, which just wasn’t a practical solution.

Having previously worked for Jet2, I knew there had to be another option. I sent a quick email explaining the situation and pointed out that if it had been a missing suitcase, it would usually be delivered directly to the customer.

Within minutes, I received a phone call to say my daughter’s pram would be delivered straight to our hotel that very same day. I honestly can’t describe the relief I felt.

Charlotte, who dealt with my email, was absolutely amazing. She completely turned what had been a really upsetting and stressful experience into a positive one. She kept me updated throughout, showed genuine care and understanding, and made me feel like she truly wanted to help. That level of customer service is so rare and deserves to be recognised.

Thank you so much, Charlotte. You are an absolute credit to Jet2, and your kindness, professionalism, and willingness to go the extra mile made such a difference to our holiday. Because of you, we were able to put the stress behind us and enjoy the rest of our family holiday.

Really disappointed that having spend £3500 on a weeks holiday they cannot sit us together on a plane despite having seats available together.
We should not be charged extra for this
Easyjet don't do thus in our experience
