Poor shipping practices, great website.

There is a ton of useful and educational content. It is a superbly organized website. Prices are reasonable. They opt to use the UPS shipping service that passes the package to USPS, where shipments end up taking as long as 10 days compared to their competitors.

They responded that it takes them 1-4 days to fulfill the orders due to the volume of orders they receive and then the shipping time. Wow. If that is true, their competitors could teach them a thing or two about fulfillment as their competitors manage to ship the order out in 24 hours (M-F).

They cancelled my order 5 days after I placed it. Their shipping times are stupid bad. 4 Days before expecting a shipping notice.

I have placed 27 orders with JetPens since I created my account back in August of 2017. I've always had a good experience with them. The items shipped are exactly what I ordered, and the ordering process is easy. When I've had questions about an item, I just email them, and usually get an answer back within the day. I've ordered everything from gel pens, notebooks, journals, fountain pens, stickers, washi tape, pencil boards, fountain pen bottled ink, artist's paper, etc. They have guides for their products and videos. Super helpful and convenient site.

JetPens uses an excessive amount of cling film and bubble wrap plastic when packaging an order. I've asked them multiple times to stop using plastic when packing up my order but they refuse to switch to paper. I recommend using Goulet Pens and St. Louis Art Supply instead for fountain pen and stationary supplies

I love this website. They have a huge variety to select from. Shipping is a little expensive if you buy just one but if you buy a larger amount it end the shipping becomes more affordable.

I wanted to buy some cheap pens off of JetPens.com. I ended up buying two Zebra Sarasa Gel pens, which are both around $2.5. I put in my address (I live in Australia) and go to checkout, but the total price was almost 20$? I know that shipping is expensive, but not this expensive. How did 5$ go to 20$?

The chances u will receive a good unused product is very low and if it was me i wouldnt wanna risk it.
I came to know about JetPens through YouTube and trusted them but i regret it.
Honestly, i have never had such a bad experience buying stationery as much as this. i brought three expensive pens and a pen pencil not only did the pen pencil not have the features it is supposed to have the pens were a total scam as they were most def used ones..I am so disappointed since two of the pens cannot even be used as the ink isn't coming I think cheap pens brought at small shops are better than this. the pens and pencils had a comfortable exterior I admit but that it and what's the use if i cant even write with them since no ink is coming. the nibs of the pen were not smooth at all. it's not even about the money right now but the fact that their packaging was so poor and the pen didn't even come in a packet, they didn't have a covering on the nib either. overall a very horrible experience never buying again

So far I've been very happy with jet pens. I don't mind the packaging they send them in however I can understand the bad reviews with broken/used items being sold as new. I haven't had that issue and have had fast shipping here in the US. I love the fast shipping and all the options jetpens has.

I never would have tried fountain pens if it weren't for JetPens. I've always wanted to try using one but I never attempted buying or using one before because I didn't know how to care for one. When I found their site, I was so happy that they featured a wide selection of beginner-friendly pens AND a ton of resources to help me care for my pens. Now I use fountain pens almost exclusively for journaling and I wish I found Jetpens sooner!

I bought some ink off this website. I was a little concerned as they charged me a small fee that they stated was to verify that my payment source was not fraudulent, but once I verified that they refunded the small fee. Shipping was surprisingly fast.

Umm I would love to buy something but I can’t create an account because theres a error with the password thing. Even though I have symbols, letters and numbers from the English Language it wont let me make an account…

Got the pencil I was looking for. Was a little surprised it shipped in a plastic mail envelope. The Retro 51 packaging the pencil comes in is now oval instead of round. Luckily I don't collect packaging. Their tracking was not great and did not have an estimated arrival date but took reasonable time. Minor problems in my estimation but worth knowing. Would probably still order from them again, generally a good shopping experience.

JetPens sets the absolute standard for customer service. Even Amazon could benefit from their complete mastery of the customer experience. The fast accurate order fulfillment cannot be improved. I was surprised by the package in the post today (Monday) that was ordered on Friday. Dealing with JetPens is pure joy.

I order from JetPens at least once a month and have done so for years. The one time I received a defective product they were super responsive and resolved the issue immediately. Packaging isn't fancy or pretty, but always more than adequate to protect what I've ordered.

Their website has *so* much information regarding products, both in terms of product descriptions and tutorial/informational videos. They have a wonderful selection and decent prices. They win for free shipping minimum purchase.

Always a pleasure, and one of my favorite retailers of any sort.

This company has some seriously strange ideas about security.

I tried to purchase a planner from them on 4/8/22. The purchase went through and I was debited the correct amount. Two days later on 4/11/22 I received an email explaining that they needed to "verify" my purchase, and telling me that they had not only kept all my credit card info, but that they'd gone back in and made a second, unauthorized debit, and that I needed to verify the exact amount of that debit before they'd send me the planner I ordered.

I checked with my bank and this is absolutely not a typical thing. I ended up canceling my credit card to prevent them from making further debits. After further emails back and forth, I'm convinced they weren't trying to scam me, but no vendor should ever make unasked for withdrawals from anyone's account for any reason. That's NOT how you verify a purchase.

I did receive my initial money back, as well as the second debit, but I'll never do business with them again, and I urge anyone to check that they've ceased this practice before buying anything from them.

i've purchased from jetpens multiple times, and i am always pleased with what i receive. they have a great array of products, and they are constantly adding to their inventory. i've always gotten new, well packaged items and have never needed to contact customer service. the shipping is also super speedy!

While they don’t have the fanciest packaging, or the fastest shipping (still fast enough, most orders get to me in about 5-7 days), I just love jet pens. They have a great selection and a site that is pretty easy to navigate. (You can search washi tape by size, color, theme, and brand for example). The only thing I don’t love is that things are frequently out of stock. Also, I wish you could filter out the out of stock items, so you don’t have to scroll through items that you can’t even purchase.

I’ve purchased from them several times now, and each time at least one of the pens I received was used. I believe the pens they demo in their videos and pictures are the very same products they ship to their customers. Thus my “new” pens last a few days, if that. I do not trust this company and will never buy from them again.

I am a fountain pen collector, so it is very important to me that what I buy is a new product. I was a bit careful after reading the reviews here, but I thought I'd still give it a try. I specifically wrote an e-mail inquiring if all of the fountain pens they were selling were in 100% new condition. I got a response assuring me that every pen they would sell were new. When I received the pen, I already had a bad feeling. The feeder had stains on it. But I couldn't tell for sure, because it was my first fountain pen of this brand. It was just a nagging feeling, because something was off, but I had no proof. When I bought another fountain pen of this brand, I had my certainty. I knew that a new pen of this brand would be SEALED (the one they sent me was opened), and it wouldn't have any stains anywhere. It just feels so awful being lied to like that. I asked a specific question, and what I got was a lie. Plain and simple. And of course, I paid a full price for a used pen. I have no problems with it, when companies sell used fountain pens, but they should declare them as such. Otherwise it's scam. On top of that, lying to your customers like that is very... questionable, to put it very politely.
