Having moved from an ancient house with solid oak floors to a new house, I wanted to replicate the wood floors in engineered oak. My research was extensive and included driving miles to look at various engineered oak.
When I heard about JFJ Flooring everything fell into place. The conversations and guidance was outstanding. Everyone I spoke with had 'The Knowledge' and patience to talk me through what was to be a fairly extensive job.
The quality of the engineered oak is excellent. I chose long wide boards and I'm delighted with the outcome.
Delivery was carefully arranged and of course came on time.
This is an awesome family business who have got it right on every level.

I decided to purchase and install a new wood floor for my living room. After conducting extensive research through online reviews and videos, I encountered J F J Flooring on multiple occasions. Consequently, I decided to take advantage of their free sample offer for engineered oak flooring, which at 21mm thick, was an ideal replacement for my current floor.
The sample arrived within a few days and was sufficiently large to demonstrate the quality offered by this product. It was a direct sample from the product I intended to later purchase.
A few days after receiving the sample, I received a call from Tom, Director of J F J Flooring, to discuss the product further. This conversation was less of a sales pitch and more focused on providing advice about the product, its intended use, and ensuring longevity and trouble-free application. He genuinely cared about my requirements rather than just making a sale. As a result, I ordered enough flooring to cover an area approximately 3m x 6.5m, which was delivered at my convenience and in excellent condition.
I allowed the planks to acclimatize for about a week before beginning installation. My joists were in good condition, allowing direct installation. Using expanding glue and Tongue Tite screws, the fitting process was seamless. The planks were remarkably consistent in both thickness and width, and the tongues were precisely cut, eliminating gaps when staggering boards and ensuring no plank was higher than another. This was impressive, as I had previously encountered issues with lower-quality products in another room that required clamping to correct. The J F J Flooring boards were exceptionally straight for a natural product. After two days of installation, the floor appeared top-notch, without any creaking or other issues. I did not apply any additional treatment to allow the floor to develop character. The selected floor already had an oiled finish, which I diligently protected during installation and will continue to safeguard in the future by replying protective oils.
I am writing this review after having the floor installed for over six months to observe how it withstood colder weather conditions. The floor remains as pristine as when initially laid, demonstrating that an engineered wood floor can be successfully installed by a competent DIY enthusiast with a basic understanding of wood properties.
Overall, I highly recommend using engineered wood planks for either replacing an existing floor or installing a new one. While it may require a slightly higher investment, with the assistance of Tom and the team at J F J Flooring, you will be well-supported throughout the process.

The product itself is fantastic, it's super well engineered and is so easy to fit. I've done 3 rooms now and have had no issues fitting.

The help I received on the phone, prior to ordering was also first class, and left me feeling confident I had ordered the right product for our use case. You don't get that level of service or product knowledge in B&Q!

Excellent service and the product was outstanding. Hd tried for three or more years to get structural oak engineered flooring (21mm) in single lengths. JFJ's product was perfect all round.
I shall not bother going anywhere else when I need to put in a new floor in the living room as I can do without the hassle of looking for a product I now know I can get from JFJ

We have 6 dogs and were unsure which type of flooring would be suitable for our kitchen. Tom explained that BML flooring 100% waterproof, didn't need underlay and was easy to install. We liked the wood effect design and the 30 year guarantee was a big plus too. Tom and his team were very helpful and we will purchase additional flooring in when we redecorate our dining room.

We are extremely happy with the new floor, really high quality. Can’t recommend them enough.

My SIL and daughter did extensive research on what type of flooring they wanted for a house refurbishment and eventually chose JFJ. Primarily because they were competitive but also because of their personalised customer service - dealing with real people that have an interest in their products and company. As dad it became my task to lay the floor and the finished product was fantastic. So much so that when it came time to refurb our house next door we naturally went with JFJ. Once again a seamless experience.

Really easy to order and I can return unopened boxes for a refund. Even got the delivery team to bring the wood into the house. Good quality product.
