An excellent online shopping experience
Great photos and an accurate description of the item. Competitively priced with the added bonus of free delivery to my address. Good communication of order and delivery updates. Delivery was speedy and when my teak root wooden fruit bowl arrived I was blown away by the quality and uniqueness of it, it’s a real statement piece! Would highly recommend and trust this company.

Ordered one of his 2.6 Home bars in…
Ordered one of his 2.6 Home bars in Black on eBay . The delivery guy was very helpful. The bar is extremely heavy and solid. Its really good to see a courier that doesn't just leave it at the front door . He helped us take it to the room we needed it in and even took away the packaging. I spoke with John before ordering and he was more than helpful.

Thank you for your feedback. We communicated as much as possible under the circumstances—the customer informed us via email that he could not take phone calls and could only communicate via text. The goods were loaded, and for safety reasons, the driver could not text while driving. Despite these challenges, the customer successfully received the products and even placed a reorder, which indicates satisfaction with the items. We always aim for clear communication, and unfortunately, in this case, there appear to have been some misunderstandings.
definitely coming back
John cowell is top guy. sorted me out with garden decorations for my daughters wedding. this was a last minute job as another firm let me down. his garden decorations are second to none the man who delivered everything helped me unload which was a great help because i wouldnt be able to do it on my own, and lets face it most couriers drop it at the front door and tell you to do one.
i will certainly be using john cowell again.

Absolutely delighted with my 2.6 m home/pub bar. It’s extremely solid and I can say you won’t find quality like this.
It came in 2 whole solid pieces only requiring the bevelled back bar mirror to be assembled.
I brought the original mahogany coloured bar with antique patina but it also come in black and white.
It was delivered within a week which is fair enough due to the size and weight.
I am currently looking at buying some bar stools to go with this and will most probably but these from John cowell ltd

Lutyens garden bench
Ordered a Lutyens garden bench which came and am b pleased with it. There were some parts missing which support the back rest of the bench. Contacted the company and they promised to send. Over a week later no sign of them so had to buy some. After some lost email issues I had the reply shown here and a refund for the missing parts so I have amended my original review.

We have been selling these benches for many years and this is the first time we have received notice of missing dowels or concerns regarding the instructions. We note from your email that you are experienced in DIY but still found the instructions difficult to follow, which we will certainly pass on to the manufacturer. As we only retail the benches and do not manufacture them ourselves, we can only forward such feedback, but we do take these points seriously and want to help improve the customer experience.
We are, however, very pleased to hear that you are happy with the bench itself. Please let us know if you would still like us to send out the correct dowels and we will arrange this without delay.

The footstool is so cute
The footstool is so cute, l just love it! I like the fact that each
one is unique. It feels sturdy and of good quality, and was well-packaged. Also, delivered to the Isle of Wight with no complaints - a rarity for us! It will look great in my new home.

Disappointing interaction with seller
Disappointing interaction with seller. Ordered two stools. Incorrect labelling from seller created a lot of confusion with regards to delivery and time and effort and my part to sort out. No real accountability from the seller.
Ordered same stools from another seller and the next day were delivered with no issues.
Edit: JC only offered a partial refund leaving me short of £32.00. Still denied any real accountability and ended up getting Etsy case involved. Strongly suggest any future buyers use credit card when dealing with JC.

Poor customer service
I ordered two bar stools from John Cowell, and whilst they look lovely one of the foot stoppers was faulty making it wobbly. Initially, they seemed interested in helping me and agreed to send out a footstopper. Since the stopper was damaged I could not get this out of the damaged stool. I have asked them how to get this out and they have ignored my emails and refused to provide me with a partial refund for this damaged item. I wouldn't recommend buying from them.
