Amazing experience in nature
My husband and I chose Joshua and his team for our Amazon experience during our honeymoon and we don't regret it one bit! The days we spent at the Anavilhanas Lodge were a true immersion in nature – the place is stunning and feels out of this world, far from everything we are used to in our everyday lives.
The nature activities were very interesting and Yamal, our guide, was extremely knowledgeable about everything (plants, fruits, animals and life and culture in this environment in general). And there were plenty of fun moments, especially during fishing, the night excursion and the countless convivial moments in the village.
We would do this experience again and we will definitely recommend it to any of our friends who want to visit Brazil.

Amazing experience!
It was an amazing experience! The whole team was incredibly friendly and helpful. The lodge in the heart of the Amazon was a dream, and the food was absolutely delicious.
Our tour guide, Sofia, taught us so much about the local nature and communities. She was very flexible, listened to our wishes, and let us help decide what to focus on during the tours—which was especially important given our short stay. By the second day, it almost felt like we were exploring the Amazon with a friend.
Everything was perfect, and we would definitely come back!

Simply Amazing experience
Simply Amazing experience, way above expectations!! All the people, from the boat driver, chefs, and the local guide were very friendly, we spoke a lot with everyone. The organization was impeccable, perfect timing, very clear indications and almost 0 dead-times.
The food and the lodge room were above expectations, very good! The nature connection and the guide competence were incredible, we will come back for sure!!

We’ve choosed the 2 nights and 3 days…
We’ve choosed the 2 nights and 3 days options and we had a great experience.
The lodge is located almost 3 Hours of trip (car and speed boat) from Manaus but it all worth it.
Our guide Kennedy has been Perfect: he is very professional and he speaks english eccellently.
The lodge has air conditioning. It’s very simple but comfortable; food was good but not so various.
The landscapes we saw and the activities done were outstanding, but we haven’t seen many animals.

7 Day deep survival tour
I did the 7 day deep survival tour. I absolutely loved it! It was just me, my main guide Ronaldo, my 3 local guides and the jungle. The whole community helps out though and are the most welcoming people I have ever met. If you are looking for an experience that guarantees that you escape the tourist traps in Manaus and want something remote and authentic, then I highly recommend.

5-day Amazon tour
We booked a 5-day Amazon tour with Joshua’s Amazon Tours for a group of six people, and the entire experience exceeded our expectations from start to finish.
Even before the tour began, Jordana was incredibly helpful, assisting us in arranging transportation from Manaus Airport to our hotel, which made our arrival completely stress-free. The transfers to and from the Amazon were also very well organized and punctual.
We stayed at Peacock Paradise Lodge, which was fantastic. The accommodations were comfortable, but what truly stood out was the food. Every meal was freshly prepared, delicious, and thoughtfully made with a strong commitment to minimizing waste. For example, excess fruit was creatively transformed into homemade ice cream, something we greatly appreciated. The family running the lodge was exceptionally kind, welcoming, and flexible in helping us organize activities according to our interests and preferences.
One of the highlights of the trip was an ecotourism visit to an Indigenous community, where we had the opportunity to learn about their traditions, culture, and mythology directly from tribe members. It was a meaningful and memorable experience.
Our final day was equally amazing. We were accompanied by a different guide, but the transition was completely seamless. She was knowledgeable and friendly, and even took us to her mother’s restaurant for lunch, where we enjoyed yet another incredible meal.
Overall, we loved every aspect of this experience. The organization, hospitality, food, guides, and activities were all outstanding. We would absolutely recommend Joshua’s Amazon Tours to anyone looking for an authentic, well-organized, and unforgettable Amazon adventure.

Amazing amazone experience
Tour guide Jhennifer was very sweet and could talk english almost fluently.
We got picked up en dropped off at our hotel. This all went very smooth. The tour was amazing. The stay was comfortable, the food pretty good and there were enough different kind of excursions.
We even asked for an additional snake spotting trip and they delivered.
All in all definitely a worthwhile trip!

It was an amazing experience !! The lodge was very nice as well as the meals with a lot of Amazonian fishes ! We saw many animals and plants, fished piranhas, slept in the jungle and visit the jungle! I recommend this tour in the tapiri floating lodge because all is very well organized and the guides are very kind and interesting !

Great experience packed in to a short time
This truly was much better than anything we were hoping for. My husband and I only had 3 days in Manaus, and decided to squeeze in as much as we could in the Amazon without doing anything truly dangerous as we’re not wilderness experts.. this was the best option. Our tour guide Matheus was fluent in 5 languages including Portuguese, 3 Aboriginal Brazilian languages, Spanish and English. His English was a tad difficult to understand at first, but he always clarified and tried to tell us things in different ways if we didn’t understand the first time. This made translations SO easy between us, the river guides and the aboriginal people we met on the 1st day. We could tell how passionate he was about not only the Amazon, but the flora, fauna, local cuisine and the local people. We were so thankful to have met him and spent 3 days learning from him in the Amazon
The provided food at the lodge were traditional meals from the region, we discovered fruits and fish we’d never heard of as well. That in itself was a fun experience.
We were a little bummed we didn’t see any animals on the jungle hike, but then again- thankful we didn’t see anything that wanted to eat us so I’ll call it a win.
This wasn’t a fancy, high class excursion. We were dirty, we sweat the whole time, we were in boats on the Rio Negro, we stayed in a lodge where little bugs can sneak in and out, but we expected nothing less. BUT the lodge had GREAT AC units and there are no mosquitos on the river. It was, after all, the Amazon Rainforest. We’re really thankful we immersed the way we did and everyone was so accommodating

Incredible Amazaon Trip
The tour guide Ken was an amazing host with full knowledge of the area and wildlife. Wendal and his family who owned the lodge made full accommodations and the rooms and food were great. Pickup at hotel was easy along with dropoff and the ride up the river was awesome with a stop to swim with the pink dolphins and visit and indigenous tribe. An amazing once in a lifetime event. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a real Amazon trip.
