Booked in online for MOT and oil filter Bulwell

Booked in online for MOT and oil and filter change, also fuel filter. needed near side shock and spring, all work clearly explained and priced. was able to split the payments to make more affordable. I requested a air con regas and looked at the bill and was not included. however it looks like they have done this at no extra cost, and checked the air con and blowing very cold which it was not before. mistake or intensional who knows droped the the car off at house as lived locally . I will come back again next year for MOT and Cam belt change. Thanks highly recommended.

Terrible Experience

Terrible Experience – Avoid KAM Servicing Ascot Drive

I had an absolutely horrible experience with KAM Servicing on Ascot Drive in Derby. I went there to get my car checked due to a recurring issue with the water level dropping. It took them two days just to diagnose the issue, after which they quoted me £830 for the repair. I agreed, trusting they would fix the problem.

I got the car back, and the very next day on my way to work (a 27-minute drive from Derby to Ashbourne), I noticed the water level had dropped below the minimum again. I called them immediately and returned the car.

Again, it took them two days to “diagnose” the issue. This time they quoted me an additional £654. I had no choice but to agree since the car was still having the same issue. After another two days, I picked up the car — only for the same thing to happen again on the exact same commute.

Frustrated and stressed, I called KAM Servicing yet again. This time, the manager told me I might need a full engine replacement, which would cost around £1,200 — and still no guarantee that would solve the problem.

At this point, I had already spent £1,448 with no results. They clearly had no idea what they were doing or talking about. No guarantees, no real solutions, just more money out of my pocket.

This experience has caused me massive financial and mental stress. I strongly urge all working-class people and anyone looking for reliable service to stay away from KAM Servicing on Ascot Drive.

Used kam in Beeston. As always great customer service. Ash is great and Treated me with great respect. And kind words regarding my cancer remission. Had cambelt and all parts associated with it replaced. Saving £300 on main agent price. And running perfectly. I wouldn't go anywhere else. Both our vehicles booked in soon for service and mot. They advised my wife that the repair work would require 5 hours labour. It actually took 40 minutes elsewhere The manager informed me that’s what’s the computer advised him and that’s what he bases prices on. How about common sense and knowledge

Unhappy customer

I went to KAM for a full service. They advised that my car had an additional £700 of work that was required (in addition to the £231 i paid for the service), and advised that it would need work doing to pass MOT. I paid for the service only, and then took it to another garage who advised that there was no urgent work required at all, and not even anything that was required soon. I then had my MOT 2 weeks later (10/07/25) and it passed with no advisories (at an MOT only test centre) despite having none of the repairs done that KAM insisted I needed. I would not recommend using KAM for MOT, service, or repairs.

Amazing customer service!

I have just been to get my evoke serviced and MOT. At Derby Road, Long Eaton.
Fantastic customer service!
The guy on reception mentioned that there was a recall on the evokes involving the steering. We had no idea as only had the car a few months.
He advised us to ring Land Rover and it turns out our car needs doing so we have got it booked in.
This could have been a dangerous situation had the bolt snapped. So so grateful!
Highly recommend!!! Thank you.

Kam are very good in general but felt…

Kam are very good in general but felt let down as I booked my car in for an mot online and when I went to drop it off at 8am I was told it was not booked in but said they would do it. Waited all day and they never rang me to say it has passed or not or we could go and collect my car back so I rang them at 4.30 to be told yes it was done and ready for collection. I would of thought a call to say it was ready would of been nice. I have been using kam garage for at least ten years and never had this before so I did feel a little let down with this experience

Unfortunately, the call ended with language and behaviour that we cannot accept towards our staff. While we always strive for a resolution, we also have a responsibility to ensure a respectful environment for our team. Not worth it

Booked service and MOT, was told needed a new set of rear brake discs and pads+ 1 side of track rod and track rod end changing+wheel alignment costing VERY EXPENSIVE £749.00. Then noticed track rod boot was off, returned it, they put it back next day off again, decided to do it myself properly instead… they also left dewalt torch hanging on engine frame…

I feel compelled to write this review…

I feel compelled to write this review due to the consistently poor service I have received from the Highbury Vale branch of Kam Servicing. My vehicle has been suffering from an ongoing oil leak, and despite being taken to this location on three separate occasions — with repair work carried out twice — the issue remains unresolved. To date, I have spent close to £2,500, and yet the original problem persists without any meaningful resolution or improvement. This experience has been deeply frustrating and disappointing. In hindsight, I truly regret ever trusting this garage with my vehicle. Based on my experience, I will not be returning, nor can I recommend their services to others.

Super customer care

Well, this is an unusual review as I have had no work done !
I have been happy to use KAM Beeston for at least 15 years, although it's a distance from my home and had booked my annual service and mot for tomorrow. However, due to health issues, I had to cancel and book a garage closer to home.
A couple of hours after cancelling my booking, I got a call from Ashley, who supervises the input and reception.
He is a good chap who has been there for a while.
He rang me to enquire if I was ok, and was very supportive. This is an example of the superb customer service from the branch. Thanks Ash, much appreciated.
