While searching for an editor for my latest novel, I came upon KDP/Amazon publishing. I had written 2 previous novels and was disappointed with the services provided by the editors. They were quite expensive ($1500) and performed haphazardly. My experience with KDP/Amazon Publishing and Sam Carter was like night and day. Sam made sure the edit and cover design were all performed professionally and on-time. The services weren't free, but for the first time in years I felt I got my monies worth, I would recommend KDP/Amazon Publishing and Sam Carter in particular to anyone in need of editing, cover design or development.

It was not easy but it thanks be to God through publish drive who connected me through.

Cancel culture at kdp is in full swing! Beware, they have an enormous sense of entitlement to go with their 80% market share and they will set their own self righteous standards of acceptable conduct for kdp books based on their own interpretation of their rules. Then, when they deem you violated them, accidentally or knowingly, 1st time or 50th, they will ban your account for life with a generic and vague reason. They will ask you to be honest and plead your case and after you spend 3 hours on your meticulous email to them explaining yourself, they will send you a 3 line email saying you violated their guidelines and will be banned. Understand this is a very possible reality if they don't like your content, before you dream of making your full time income selling on kdp. THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT YOU, HOW MANY PEOPLE LIKE YOUR WORK, OR THAT YOU ARE A NEW AUTHOR WHO MADE AN HONEST OR SIMPLE MISTAKE. They will tell you it was your responsibility to know the rules, yet they are the ones who decide when a violation has occurred, so nothing is clear and straightforward but left up to their own individual judgements of when a violation has occurred. I was having great momentous success with a book series that was taking off, until Sofia decided that I violated their terms and permanently banned my account. No warning, no suspension, no communication or negotiating or compromising or informing me of the rule with a stern 2nd chance, although she tried to make it seem like she was willing to work with me. Just woke up to a lifetime ban for violating their terms and misleading their customers? Despite all my work being created by AI. That's exactly who and what you are dealing with here with KDP. You could have a 5 figure income selling ebooks through them for years and then one day they decide they don't like something you upload or uploaded years ago and they just delete your account like they are throwing their garbage away. Be very clear, before you put your time selling on KDP, that this is a very real possibility. You can tell they don't like their authors, they have a sense of conviction towards them. Any way they can get rid of you. No mercy. Like cutting a toddlers hands off for stealing, they will give you a lifetime ban over a very small violation and will make it seem like you stole millions from them. They are cruel and harsh, and I am really grateful this happened now and not once I had hundred of books on KDP. Sofia was sure to tell me I couldn't make another account either or they would further ban me and they would take all my sales if I tried. I told her, that was all she could do, her power ended there. That my books live on with other sites. So quit power tripping and enjoy the review Sofia. They treat me like I'm the worst type of person, i'm disgusted and done with KDP, as I can see many are. Over next to nothing they bully you to satiate their own overgrown egos. Good riddance to you KDP.

Amazon KDP does not deserve one star! They are criminals! Their customer service is horrible. They made money off my books during the holiday season and right afterwards, they terminated my account without providing an explanation as to why. I did not make money but they did! Stole my royalties and continued to try to charge my credit card for ads after they terminated my account. I would never recommend them to anybody trying to publish their book. Horrible!

I tried to get on my KDP account and found it was closed. I don't know why it was closed and I can't contact anyone to find out why or if it is possible to have it reopened.
I tried contacting KDP Amazon through their contact information, but after several months of repeated attempts and waiting for nearly six months, I am angry.
I was told there was a contact phone number if you hit the button that says you need more help, but I never found a phone number.
My fingers are tired of typing in their forms and receiving no answers. I can't get copies of my books, nor can I check on them, because nothing is available when your account has been closed.
I feel my books have been stolen, especially when I found my book on another website, but they are being sold by someone else.
I want my books back from Amazon KDP, and copies of the books so I can sell them independently.
I doubt this will get anyone's reply to my inquiries, but hopefully, someone else won't be duped by them.

Do not deal with KDP Amazon they are scammers and thieves and will block you out of your account and steal your books. They don't send you your royalty money. It's been 3 years my books have been with them and I've only received $31. I have 10 books listed on the kdb account. They've blocked me out of my account will not allow access any longer. New authors my best advice to you is to find another publisher even if it cost you because in the long run it's going to cost you at the end. They will steal your manuscript and you're money! Beware!

The expertise and professionalism they brought to my book was exceptional. I am thrilled with the results. They flow of the story has improved, the characters seem more clear and the transition are smoother. Even the dialogue is more dire and realistic. I am so thankful because the quality work of these ghostwriters has certainly exceeded my expectations.
