Kenwood Damp Proofing Reviews 

I have had a reoccurring problem with damp (smell, markings, etc) for a while and nothing really seemed to solve the issue.

Due to tgis, it was clear I needed a company who were damp experts and took a lot of time looking for companies and specialised in the same.

I highly recommend Kenwood Damp Proofing, as every member of the team I spoke to, was incredibly helpful, patient with my repeated questions, and walked me through the whole process, providing a professional service from start to finish.

I first spoke to a member of the team, who explained everything brilliantly, which in turn lead me to booking a survey with them. The surveyor was fantastic explaining everything to me and provided a report that really pinpointed the problem and solution, with a quote form them to do the work.

I then spoke to Travis who explained the report in more detail and took the time to answer all of my questions and reassure me, that any and all work they do is guaranteed, and more importantly, so is the promise that the damp problem will be resolved as a result of it.

There was no hard sell at all and when I did decide to book them to do the work, the installation team that came to do the work were also very professional and courteous, making sure everything was done properly to a high standard and they also made sure they cleaned up after themselves, leaving no mess of any kind behind.

Lastly what I really love is Kenwood are a highly reputable company and the guarantee they have provided me is one that actually is worth more than the paper it is written on; meaning I now have real peace of mind that the damp issue has finally been resolved.

Jim has been really flexible and accommodating, finding a way to make the job fit around us so we can get the work done. Thank you Jim!

My experience with Kenwood so far has been brilliant.

From my original enquiry which was handled by Karen who listened to the issues I was experiencing and arranged for a surveyor to attend within two days. The report was completed promptly and gave invaluable information on the status of damp in a property I was looking to purchase, which led to me lowering my offer to ensure I could cover the costs required.

When calling to book in the work, Jim O'Malley was super efficient and answered all of my questions and put any concerns to rest.

The work has not begun yet so I will update this review once complete, but if the contact that I've had with Kenwood so far is any indication, I have full faith that they will complete the damp proofing to a high standard.

Top quality service by Kenwood. Great quality work led by Abdul and his boys . Clean and tidy and good comms and consideration of elderly neighbour. Good advice from Jim and Chris in the office as scope of works changed once work and floor excavations began. One issue to improve would be re-decoration advice after wall tanking . Current advice does not clearly state you have to wait 6 - 9 months to re tile a treated wall and this had obvious impacts on my planned programme of follow on works , contractors availability and my ability to rent out . AI research still says much less time is needed but I'm sticking with Kenwood advice so not to invalid their 20yr guarantee. Will definitely use them again on the next project which is coming soon

Firstly I never give 5’s and now this is the 2nd for Kenwood. Noel and Tom were excellent from the 1st day masking everything up, through the precision and skill level of Noel’s rendering and plastering. To clearing up and removing all the debris’s. We would highly recommend.

Heard about Kenwood from a friend who had condensation and mould issues which were solved by fitting a condensation control unit.

Easily arranged an inspection survey which was carried out in a very friendly and professional manner. During the survey it was pointed out which items were essential as opposed to 'nice to have'.

I received a very comprehensive report/quotation and decided to go ahead with the essential parts of the recommendations. This was easily arranged the work carried out within 2 weeks.

The installation was carried out by a very helpful, friendly and efficient team with no mess left behind. Only 1 minor issue, the loft was closed up with the light left on and some of the insulation not replaced, probably a simple oversight, but otherwise would have been 5 stars.

Won't know how successful the results are until the colder weather arrives but I am confident that all will be ok.

My second great experience with Kenwood. I had an urgent need for a damp survey for a rental property. They were responsive and able to get in to do the review and the subsequent work in a matter of days. Travis who managed the engagement was great. He answered my many questions and also was so helpful with booking conflicts and other related challenges and found ways to squeeze me in as early as possible, given my time pressures. He went out of his way to make it work for me. Thank you!

James O'Malley carried out a damp and timber survey on our property. He was very professional, friendly and explained the findings clearly. I would not hesitate in recommending him.

Both Brennan and Rohan were a pleasure to have working in the house. Both extremely considerate, polite and courteous throughout the time they were here.

Awful customer service....
We had damp treated at our property approximately 5 years ago, the wall is just under 3 meters. Kenwood treated half the wall then but didn't test the other half of the wall for damp. After asking for the original survey, which stated half the wall was not tested. Which I was told rudely by Jim that this was in fact our fault and we should have asked for the whole wall to be tested. After he tried to claim the people that lived there before asked for it to not be tested!! I am not a damp surveyor, which is why I paid for it to be done by yourselves.
After this conversation, I asked other companies for quotes, to which they all advised me I should used Kenwood again as if there is an issue in the middle of the wall, it could be a problem when I've used two different companies.
So after asking for discount as a returning customer, I now regretfully used their services again.
It took 3 visits for a very small wall to be finished, this is after a pipe was drilled through when removing plaster. When the layer of plaster was added, the pipes were moved, which meant the radiator didn't fit. Which I only found out weeks later when all decorating work was completed.
When emailing Kenwood to let them know, they did not want to accept blame. After multiple replies from them (chat gpt I assume as most of the replies seemed completely irrelevant to my questions.) They offered £120 gesture of goodwill for decorating work, which I am still waiting to receive, regardless of sending my bank details.
The customer service is awful, wherever they can take short cuts they clearly do. Whilst also accepting no responsibility for bad workmanship. I would definitely look for other companies

I contacted Kenwoods as I had a damp problem on a wall of my property. Their surveyor James O'Malley arrived promptly and conducted a thorough survey, explaining the problem in easy to understand language. I also received a full written survey. All in all very professional and I would highly recommend them.

So refreshing to get good customer service when under time pressure for a job in Watford. I dealt with James who turned around quotes and offered ongoing support. I now have all the info i need!

I recently needed to make enquiries about damp proofing, and Kenwoods came highly recommended. Although the work has not yet begun, I have been very impressed with the administrative side of the business so far.

Kelly, Lee and Jim have all been extremely helpful in arranging surveys, scheduling dates and providing the advice and information I needed throughout the process. Communication has been excellent, and everything has been handled professionally and efficiently.
