They claim my "average views" are "too low" and yet I have FOUR times the amount of average views that my best friend has, they constantly ignore messages on their forum and don't have ANY customer service whatsoever.
Please don't waste your time, they will only frustrate you to death ☠️

Keymailer was perfect in the past but since a year they got really worst, you need a lot of views for YT videos, and even if you were accredited in the past, you lose you access. Since I don't really do many videos it was okay, we have a magazine where we do reviews but even here they only recognize 71k from 4 million because they can't add views from newsletter and app.

And again our magazine is on hold with "Application In Review", if your channel gets on hold you can't even post reviews you already wrote, but the days are still running to post the review. It can take up to four or more weeks until your channel is again ready. For every review you don't post you get flagged even if you are not able to post it because of the hold.

Support got so bad, they don't answer and if they do, they don't understand what's your problem, so you have to write a lot of times to get the issues solved, and they ask you still link and so on even if you provided it before in the mail. It's like wasting your time, because they won't really help you.

I understand if support needs a bit of time or if on Christmas or other big weeks, they are overloaded with mails, but it doesn't matter, they just don't answer or if yes, like I said, with questions you already told in the previous mail.

You also get flagged and a remember that content is missing, for keys you reported because they were wrong or didn't work and even with the right tags they can't find your content always.

Purchased the lowest tier for marketing just to see if it would do anything.
The service they provided it did not amount to anything like seriously I was way more successful doing promotion by myself.
INDIE DEVS be warned better to do promotion yourself, you want people interested in YOU and your game.

Keymailer LIMITS the number of keys indie games can RECEIVE to 10 per month. Yes, a measly ten keys per month, even at launch.

Do I need to say more than this?

That is, of course, unless devs are willing to pay. But pay for what? There is literally a JUNGLE of subscriptions you have to choose from, at insane prices. Think double to three digits, hundreds of dollars per month.

I am more than willing to pay for services which provide additional value, but not at the expense of others. This company is profiting off the misery of indie devs who can't afford it but who are desperately trying to get any visibility.

More than this, they don't even filter all scammers. When it was still usable, I accidentally sent keys through the service to proven scammers.

I was here at launch. It got progressively worse.

At first everything was free. Then they made "searches/discovery" subs, which I was okay with. Then more and more subs popped up.

Then one day they decided to LIMIT the number of key requests you can RECEIVE unless you pay...this is where I cross the line.

They are leeches. Streamers, if you're interested in our games, PLEASE reach the devs directly, just shoot us an email or a DM. We'll be more than happy to send one your way and to work with you!

I just noticed today that keys I've rejected get marked on your "redeemed" section as though you have taken them expecting content to be created, and even those you don't accept in time and expire which you clearly cannot create content for give a big red X mark on your account as though you're expected to take every single key you are offered and create content for it. This tarnishes your reputation for keys you actually will create content for as even though you've got a 100% record of creating content for every game you have been provided they will tarnish full of "didn't create content" for all the games you reject as these don't fit your channel or other reasons for not accepting the keys, it's all irrelevant as the site will just put marks against your account front and center which devs will see instead of the actual content you've created and that you've got a great track record of creating great content for the games you do accept which fit your channel.

This not only tarnishes your reputation as they incorrectly mark you as expecting content for games you haven't received keys for claiming that you've "redeemed" the key as it's in your redeemed section even though you've rejected the key and do not have that game so will not be creating content and have refused it as you will not be creating content, but this also tarnishes the reputation of keymailer as they make it look like most people aren't creating content with keys taken incorrectly and it's just a whole mess, lets not even talk about how they made it so you can't even apply to most games anymore and there's hidden requirements as to what exactly makes it possible to apply these days. There are much better options and the site has really gone downhill, but this discovery of how they're tarnishing reputations of creators to developers by incorrectly claiming keys were redeemed and no content created is just absolutely unacceptable.

This needs to be put right immediately as they are tarnishing creator's reputations by claiming keys were redeemed when they weren't and that content wasn't created.

As a gaming YouTuber with over 68,000 subscribers and more than 8 years of experience using Keymailer, I’ve watched the platform decline from promising to practically useless. Early on, I appreciated the opportunity to receive game keys and support developers — but that goodwill has worn thin.

Over the past year or so, getting keys has become a tedious ordeal. Despite my channel’s credibility, requests are consistently ignored or rejected for titles I should clearly qualify for. What’s worse: in many cases, I've been denied on Keymailer but received the same key directly from the publisher when I reached out myself. That alone makes it obvious the problem lies with Keymailer’s internal systems — whether it's their algorithm or unrealistic eligibility requirements.

Even more concerning, I’ve learned that some games on Keymailer are displayed without the publisher’s active support. Keymailer uses these listings to pitch their paid services to publishers — essentially saying, “Look how many creators want this game. If you buy our package, we’ll let you send out keys to them.” This practice feels deceptive at best, exploitative at worst.

Adding insult to injury, I’ve frequently received game keys for titles I have zero interest in — or for platforms I don’t even own. Despite clearly listing my preferences in my Keymailer bio and profile settings, the system seems to allow publishers to mass-send keys without proper filtering or relevance checks. It’s spammy and unprofessional, wasting time for both creators and publishers.

I’ve now deleted my account. The platform has lost its purpose and integrity. I strongly urge newer or mid-sized creators to bypass Keymailer entirely and reach out to publishers or PR firms directly. Keymailer is no longer a trustworthy resource — it’s a frustrating middleman with little to offer.

Used to be great!
But now they have minimum view count to qualify.

I am disabled and chronically ill and I can't stream more than I do.
I have streamed for almost 6 years now and never had this issue until recently.
I stream as much as I can and I can't do more as I am bedbound between streams as it is that hard for me, but I keep doing it week after week.

I always stream any key I get quickly too.

The publishers can refuse or accept a application, so why have this requirement for viewers when they can see it and can choose whether or not to apply.

I have used Keymailer all this time and this requirement for minimum viewers didn't exist and it still DOESN'T EXIST IN THEIR TERMS!

They are enforcing a rule that doesn't exist!

There is such a thing called reasonable adjustments which they should allow for chronically ill and disabled streamers and they used to, but now they just expect us to do the same as abled streamers which isn't fair.

Getting any game is almost impossible. Requirements are absurd, at the point of required amount of views u can just get anything u like for your own money without those silly requirements.

- Very difficult to validate your account, and even get game keys
- Requesting 1000s of views/subscribers, multiple channels and constant activity to give some keys
- Customer support almost nonexistent or responding very late to never

Prefer other platforms who care more about their gaming base.

Twice, I've requested a key, and even after release, the site just sits there on: "You have requested a key for this game. The game is available now. You will be notified if the game publisher grants you a key."

And the only option to "Withdraw Key Request".

There's no way to contact a PR company directly to gee them along, or even to let them know there is a request waiting! Do they even get told?!

In theory, Keymailer is a good idea, but if no-one ever gets back to you, there's no way to contact the PR company, and the request is going to sit on 'pending' until the end of time, it's utterly useless!

I've been using keymailer for about 6 or 7 years, while my stream was active I was getting alot of indie games and a few expensive AAA games from them, very supportive, only ever had 2 issues, once I got messages on there from developers being quite rude and pushy about me playing their game and how long was left and that I HAD to cover it, it's rare but it happens and no way that I can see to report said behaviour and i've had some keys not work or the games actually free on steam already so always worth checking first and you can report broken keys. Other than that it's a great place for small streamers to test out new games and even get involved with testing new games before release and networking with community managers

Never game me a key for ANYTHING, despite being a well-established gaming outlet.

Customer service is nonexistent

I bought their most expensive service, saying "1000" request guarantee, Throughout the campaign, I got 70 requests, and most of the people who claimed the key never made a video, and a few of them just threw the video at YouTube/Tiktok, zero return of investment, most of the YouTubers of this site is just too small and lazy, make no effort to play the game, most of them just record the gameplay with no feedback,

My advice to new developers is "Never buy any of their services; Simple isn't worth it; make a 7-15 seconds trailer and release on Reddit/Twitter ADS that you will get a better return than this website." The worst 2500 dollars I spent,

Despite being a YouTube for years and blowing up a few times, they refused to give me keys.

So I asked to delete my account and remove my dat. They refused and just rudely told me to be a better YouTuber. When I said again to delete the account they refused to reply

edit: they do give keys but it's according to the developer, and they also changed the eligibility policy which makes it now harder to get keys
