I haven’t looked back since getting my hearing aids! Me, my family and work life have gained huge benefits since getting them. Working in varying commercial environments, simple home life and social activities were always a cause for difficulty in hearing and been really involved in day to day life. Loss of hearing particularly on one side, combined with tinnitus made every day experiences tough and since getting my aids I’ve realised how tough it was. Now I can hear the everyday sounds I’ve missed so much, I don’t have to get people to keep repeating themselves or not nod along like I know what’s been said- now I actually do!
Stephen Hunter is a fantastic expert in his field, from my first appointment I was listened to, he very much understood my difficulties and explained everything so well. The team at Kingsbridge are super efficient, warm and friendly and I have no hesitation recommending them. I wish I had made the decision sooner as I enjoy life so much more now and no longer feel like I’m not part of things, or have to avoid situations, I’m in the heart of them!

I would highly recommend Kingsbridge Hearing Care for the help and support that they give The hearing aids make such a difference They help a lot when watching television, attending indoor functions such as church restaurants and childrens play activities. They are very inconspicuous. Battery replacement is unnecessary as they come with their own charger. The app recommended is very helpful. I was shown how to load it on my phone and explanation given on it’s use in adjusting balance and volume, tuning in for background noise in various locations, and for one to one conversation. The staff are very professional and friendly, and instil confidence. A lot of attention was spent setting up my hearing aids and explaining how they work. I have been seen on a number of occasions and any queries were clearly explained. Ongoing help is offered and there is a checkup every six months. Overall a great experience

Began journey early december 22 and had hearing aids fitted before Christmas the whole experience was great. Stephen and Megan were very professional and explained what was going on every step of the way.
Had a review one week ago and and the couple of questions I had were dealt with and how I could use phonak app to keep up to date. The whole experience at kingsbridge heating was first class . Thank you Stephen and Megan.

I went to see Richard Sweeney in August this year for an ear test. I had a really thorough examination involving a number of tests and of course the history of my hearing issues. Everything was explained really well and then I was advised to go away to think about it before coming to any decision about getting a hearing aid. A week later and I saw Richard again and was fitted with the hearing aid. The difference in my hearing was really noticeable. I returned a week later to review how things were going. A few weeks later I was on holiday when I suddenly had a problem with my hearing (nothing to do with the hearing aid). I phoned Richard and got some advice which involved seeing an audiologist. He sent me a computer version of my hearing tests by email to show the audiologist for comparison. He phoned me numerous times over the next few days to ensure that things were improving. I then, at his request, saw him again when I got home. I must say that I have been very impressed with the level of care and interest shown by Richard and would definitely recommend him to anyone considering a hearing check.

I was delighted with both the level of professionalism and friendly advice / information I received when I visited Stephen at Kingsbridge Hearing Care for a hearing test and subsequent fitting of hearing aids. Have had hearing problems for last 10 years. I have been receiving NHS hearing aids. But they are quite limiting. They pick up all ambient sounds and at times it is impossible to distinguish what is being said especially in a busy restaurant, bar or language class.
I have had 3 appointments at Kingsbridge. During the first visit the extent of my problem was assessed and advice was given on my needs.
During second visit I had my ears dewaxed. And received my new hearing aids and the Roger device which blocks out ambient noise.
Today I had a follow up appointment. Ears were delayed again and effectiveness of new hearing g aids was discussed.
I am greatly impressed with my new equipment. They function well I can hear well in various environments
bars, restaurants etc.
I have also been imppressed by the courteous professional attitude at Kingsbridge Audiology department.

I cannot rate Kingsbridge Hearing Care highly enough and have no hesitation in recommending them. We as a family had been trying to get a hearing solution for my dad for sometime in various places but were never happy with the service or the solution. This could not have been more different at Kingsbridge. From my very first call to Meghan who answered everyone of my very long list of questions very positively I knew we were in the right place. We were able to get an appointment very quickly and likewise, Stephen Hunter audiologist, immediately made my dad feel comfortable, took lots of time and care with him, explaining everything clearly and ensuring he was providing the very best bespoke and latest technology solution and aftercare for him. We felt very quickly we could trust Stephen and were in very safe hands. The hearing aids have made an amazing difference to my dad and his hearing, he is finding them very easy to use and comfortable to wear (they are small and barely noticeable at all), they have given him a new lease of life. I work as a doctor for the NHS and I had been using NHS hearing aids since my teens. I was facing a lengthy waiting list for a cochlear implant and I had lost the ability to lip read with the widespread use of facemasks during the pandemic. It was affecting my job performance had I had seriously considered quitting my job because of it.
Stephen got me sorted with new hearing aids and tech that has helped me cope in my busy and noisy job. I’m no longer considering quitting. Thank you Stephen. Very knowledgeable and professional service.

I have been struggling with my hearing for many years. Recently I have had difficulty hearing my grandchildren. I have used one NHS hearing aid but increasingly felt very little benefit.
I decided to explore the options offered by Kingsbridge. I was nervous as to whether the benefit would be worth the investment.
My initial contact was in the form of an enquiry on the Kingsbridge site. I got a quick and informative reply from Megan and I decided to proceed.
My first appointment with Stephen allayed any fears and I was impressed with his professional, yet friendly approach.
My two phonic aids have allowed me to re-enter the hearing world. The use of ‘roger’ has made noisy environments so much easier. I adapted quickly and easily to the use of two aids.
All in all, it has been a pleasurable and seamless experience. Highly recommended.

Before going to Stephen Hunter in Kingsbridge I went to a different provider who left me feeling confused, patronised and upset. I then made an appointment with Stephen - talk about night and day… Stephen took the time to do a full and thorough assessment and then explain everything to me; he was helpful, respectful and supportive- absolutely the epitome of professional gold plated customer care. I can’t recommend him highly enough.

My family and I have sought the services of a number of different hearing aid suppliers and I can honestly say that I have NEVER had such a thorough initial assessment of my diminished hearing - 15 mins, 30 mins - NO a full 90 minutes during which Stephen Hunter explained in great detail what he was doing and why in a way that I, with a scientific background, found most interesting and informative.
Actual fitting of the aids was similarly intense and I was fascinated that Stephen could compare what I was hearing to the sound reaching my ear drums and adjust things accordingly.
All in all a most professional assessment and fitting of really very sophisticated equipment - other members of my family are now under Stephen's most professional care - thank you very much Stephen.

I insisted on meeting with Stephen Hunter after another consultant told me the hearing in my right ear was, "Dead" and could not be improved. Stephen took all the time i wanted to listen to my thoughts and discuss possible options to try. The option we agreed on has been a life changer for me. I have attended Kingsbridge Hearing Care now on three occasions. The hearing aid that I have received from Stephen Hunter has been a vast improvement on the one I had been using from another provider and has really enhanced my quality of life. I had been trying for years to have my hearing problems dealt with from within the National Health Service and had not been aware that it was even possible to obtain the services of a personal audiologist. I was becoming resigned to having poor hearing for the rest of my life.

Throughout the initial investigation I found the professionalism, thoroughness and attention to detail of Mr Hunter’s approach most reassuring. He kept me fully informed at all times regarding the purpose and significance of each testing procedure and his follow-up care has been has meticulous.
