Booking mix up, filthy property and hostile host
We booked the property over a year ago. We turned up at the property with no one to get us and no instructions on how to enter the property.
On calling the host hse admitted she forgot our arrival and gave us the key code to enter.
The apartment was filthy with human dldluid throughout the bed, another on pillows and human hair in the end. Dust everywhere. Written food in the fridge, chopped plates etc....it is the worst place we have ever seen.
When the host arrived an hr later she apologised for forgetting the date however her husband became hostile so we had to leave. Our 7 yr old daughter still asks about the filthy house and why the man was so angry!
After many months we got a part refund. The host had lied about what happened. I actually do not know how people can live with their lives.
We paid for the property 8 months earlier so this was never about getting the money back as implied by the host, one of many lies. I really do not know ow why they didnt just apologies admit the error and not create such a stressful time for us. Absolutely appalling. My advice would be to stay clear and find a more experienced and professional host. If i could give 0 stars I would. We ended up booking fielding house which was absolutely stunning and the host was amazing.
