Do not touch this company with a barge pole! Instead of being honest and telling their customers they were going into administration, they cheerfully claimed on their website that they were 'making exciting changes!' In the meantime, a lot of customers were and are still to this day waiting for refunds on unwanted items. When contacted, K&K respond to them with silence.
So many customers are complaining online and not only are Kit & Kaboodal failing once more to respond, but they actively delete my negative comments about their business. They have now re-started their company, but unfortunately not their attitude.
I'm a long-standing, previously very satisfied customer. I now avoid K&K like the plague.

DO NOT PURCHASE or if you do be very careful....Kit & Kaboodle clearly knew they were going into liquidation earlier this year and continued to promote sales & pre-orders of clothing.
This was done without flagging to their customers that if you made any purchases or pre-ordered items before 2nd April 2026, it would be highly likely that you would a) having taken the money for your 'pre-order' not be sent it! or b) if you returned an item to them, it would likely not be refunded!
Or course, their website now advises you to contact the liquidators / administrators if you made a purchase BEFORE 2nd April 2026. Please be aware of this before you lose money.....pretty poor approach to handling their customers, I would not recommend this company to anyone!!!
Avoid!
“I placed an order and I wanted to return several items but no returns label was attached. I went online and the message 'new and exciting things are coming ' kept popping up but for returns, to use the online form which gave a QR code to scan and return. I returned via post office in good faith and have now been advised that the company went into administration on 1st march and that I have 2 options, one was to email the administrator the other to raise a case with the credit card company, if I used one. They have offered a £100 credit, with a minimum spend, but didn't advise what the minimum spend was but if they can offer a £100 credit, then they can afford a £70 refund! The administrators have advised that there would be no funds available to pay creditors, meaning that I won't receive the refund for the items I sent back. Around £70 worth. How fraudulent of a company to accept returns that were never going to be refunded. I'd have rather kept the items, had the appropriate information been relayed. A quick Google search advises that the founding family have 'stepped back' and a new team taken over! So the 'founding' family and new team, sound like they were fully aware of the situation and still never advised customers!!! If this is how they'd like to start a new business, then I'd avoid at all costs!

I have reviewed their poor customer service and quality on here previously, but now I'm owed money for a dress I returned to them - which they've had - but I've not had the refund. They went into administration but carried on to the last minute knowing full well they were going. I ow have to lodge a dispute via my CC for my money back, and my dress is still for sale on their site as they've returned...all happy as Larry, no apology nothing, just a fanfare that they're back, feeling goods that belong to customers from before administration..!!!!!! People have lost gift vouchers and loyalty points, and worse still the same rude obnoxious woman who ran it before is still there??? Avoid at all costs as I doubt they'll be around long, the quality is still pretty poor - it's not made in Italy, like that means anything anyway, and unless you get the heavily discounted stuff which is what I go for, then it's expensive for poor quality.
Returned items not refunded
I returned items in February, which they confirmed as received on 5 March, but they never processed my refund.
I and many other loyal customers have been stung by the company, which has now gone into administration.

Original company gone in to liquidation , but new' owners ' sending emails out with discount codes. Emails have links to social media pages that no longer exist,and the website header as invite to join the members club, which again ,no longer exists and pages deleted. Main Facebook page was deleted because of the negative views from customers who have been treated abominable. People who purchased just before liquidation, but needed to return, or have returned, have lost money. Really let down
Unpaid refund of £70
Due a refund of £70 for 2 pairs of trousers - several emails sent, no response. I see they are back up and running again and although I have bought a lot from them in the past, I will not be doing so again. Appalling treatment of loyal customers - I would avoid if I were you !
Edit to add: I have been in touch with the firm doing the administration. Highly unlikely to get any money back. I queried the fact that Kit and Kaboodal are trading again but was told it is now run by a different company.
Very disappointing and appalling quality (Babette trousers)
Appalling. Four pairs of Babette trousers where fabric has literally disintegrated. Was promised replacements which I didn’t get because business went into administration. I didn’t really want replacements but decided to give them the benefit of the doubt as I loved the trouser design so much but unless supply-side quality addressed then I expect the same issues again. I’ve also bought three of the needle cord parachute skirts so I’m also expecting problems with them.
I wrote a review on their website but was unable to upload as the button in the email verification doesn’t work and when asked if you want to upload photos (which o have) it doesn’t support the file type?!!
Very much a case of buyer beware and appalling customer service from new owners who are clearly just in the business of pile em high and sell em cheap with not so much as a by your leave from the retailer.
I also went direct to Kit & Kaboodal with my complaint as I had previously had good service and wanted to give them the opportunity to rectify first before I wrote a negative review. The new owners have treated loyal customers with contempt (as i can see from the other reviews) therefore I have little choice.

They have treated their customers with utter contempt leaving lots of us out of pocket since going into administration, whilst still taking orders & money right up to the last minute. They’ve since started trading again with no explanations or apologies.

I would give them minus if I could. I’m owed hundreds back and my payments still going out through PayPal pay in 3 and now they back trading. I sent items back which they will have opened and resold. Shocking. Won’t get another penny out of me.
Awful company
Awful company. They traded right up until suddenly going into administration. I received some frankly horrible clothes and couldn't get a refund because they went into administration shortly after I received the order. They're now back trading, but people who received orders before the administration have to claim them from the liquidator, ie no chance. It sounds all lovely online but the clothes are horrible and the business is worse.
Absolute nightmare
Absolute nightmare, i returned an order which didn't fit, then when i hadn't heard back after numerous emails I sent the photo proof showing it had been received by their offices. My emails have been completely ignored so I have lost money and the item. They still have the cheek to send advertisement emails to me. Avoid these at all costs, not even worth the one star.

I’d give them no stars if I could. Do not trust them with your money. They went into administration in March and walked away with a fortune, knowing full well that they owed around £half a million to the tax man and lots of other creditors, suppliers etc, and they have not fulfilled lots of customer orders or paid back refunds for goods returned to them. They say they are now ‘returning’. Don’t trust them.

Returned my order and had email confirmation that return was received and that refund would be issued withn 14 days. 5 weeks later and still no refund received... in spite of my email chases and attempt to ring them. This matter is now with my credit card company. Do not order from this company!
I received a pretty rude response
I received a pretty rude response, I quote" Im sorry tough, we do not offer a free returns service, so returns are at your own cost. xXx from Angela Spencer their Customer Service Manager, no less when I requested a refund with postage due to an issue with a jumper I purchased so not the customer's fault.
I still have the email.
I haven't bothered buying anything from them since.

Having purchased clothing for the last year I loved the clothing , customer service and loyalty. I luckily purchased before they went into administration suddenly without any warning, the access to the members Facebook page was suspended and a holding page left on their website with little info for the customers.
According to several news articles they have gone into administration. leaving loyal customers with returns they can’t return, gift vouchers purchased that they can’t spend or get a refund on and loyalty points they can’t use with no warning .
This is hugely disappointing especially as they were still taking orders they couldn’t fulfil right up to this outcome which is disgraceful to do this.

Poor returns process
Poor first experience with this company. I ordered two jumpers. One is lovely and the reason for the 3 stars, the other had a really obvious flaw on the front. I did get a pretty quick email response from customer services who referred me to their returns portal and instructed me to select faulty as the reason for return. However on doing this, the returns portal would not let me proceed unless I agreed to let them deduct £3 for return postage. I emailed them again and they said to go ahead and they would make a note on file to not charge the postage, blaming it on a new returns system. They've had this jumper back since 23rd Feb. I received an email confirming the return had been received with a note to say I would receive a further email within 14 days confirming the refund had been processed. A month on I still haven't received that email. Thankfully I used klarna, so was able to advise them of the return and they adjusted the payment straight away. Sadly, due to this experience, I'll be unlikely to use this company again.
