Shockingly bad
Genuinely one of the worst experiences I've ever had buying a product from anywhere.
I ordered a mixer, including gift wrapping and engraving, as a birthday present. I never received an order confirmation email, so I called customer care to check on it. I was told a technical error meant the payment had gone through but no order had actually been processed. Nobody proactively reached out after they discovered the error. I guess they were happy to just keep my money and not send anything.
After getting in touch, I was offered a refund after having to provide proof that they'd taken the money from my account.
Instead, around two weeks later, someone at KitchenAid decided to send me a mixer anyway, with no engraving and no gift wrapping, despite having paid for both. The refund was now cancelled. I returned this mixer for a refund.
By this point I'd already had to order a replacement to avoid missing the birthday it was meant for, which arrived late as a result of all this back and forth.
When I was finally refunded, it was for £25 short of what I'd actually paid. When I raised this, I was asked to send proof of the original charge and the (non-existent) order confirmation. I've now sent the same evidence twice, and I'm still waiting for it to be resolved.
Nearly three weeks on, I've had an incorrect order, a missed deadline for a birthday gift, a short refund, and repeated requests for evidence I'd already provided. Very disappointing experience for what should have been a straightforward purchase. Avoid.
Four products not working - AVOID
We have four (yes 4) products now not working……kettle, toaster, blender and food processor. The kettle has been replaced once a few years ago, after failing not long after purchase!
We decided to get them repaired, willing to pay for the service. My wife spoke to someone a few months ago and I sent all details requested with photos, serial numbers and receipts to consumer care email address on 17th June, but as of the 6th July, we have not received a reply.
Just spoke to a bored sounding agent who was no help whatsoever!
My wife bought what she thought were high quality kitchen products when she retired, believing that Kitchen Aid were the best. Unfortunately, that isn’t true. So disappointing - a shocking company!
Replacement bowl arrived smashed and dirty
Ordered a new glass bowl for my mixer, it arrived and I found it had a crack on the inside of the top of the handle. I sent photos to customer services and they we great, they agreed it was a fault and would replace it. The replacement bowl came, it was in a dirty box, the bowl was dirty with marks on, clearly used and the bottom of the bowl was completely smashed up. I have emailed customer services four times over the last week and had no response. I have tried to call both numbers but no answer. Really disappointed, had my kitchenaid for 8 years and it's been great. I was so excited for a glass bowl for it. I can't understand how they responded the first time straight away, sent me a broken bowl and now won't respond.
very low quality of this particular machine. poor customer aftercare and customer service
I have been having great trouble with Kitchen Aid. I have a machine that has barely been used that has already had one repair after something shearing off. It has now started that the domed top part is wobbling all over the place (will try to upload video and pictures). They are trying to force me to have it repaired again but my consumer rights say that the machine is clearly not robust so i can demand a refund or replacement and that is what i want because i am in absolute fear that is, if i have it repaired again that it will fail. i use it so infrequently that i am afraid when that will be. this machine has only ever been used 10 or 11 times and has only ever run for less than 2 hours in total. It cost many 100's of pounds.
Refusing to refund despite proof of delivery
Just make sure you don’t have to make any returns. The kitchenaid warehouse has lost my parcel and in spite of having proof of delivery from DPD I have not been refunded. I’ve been waiting 3 weeks for a £460 refund!!!
Utterly useless
Utterly useless! I used to love Kitchenaid; years ago their products were great. I love my standmixer and it as some great, innovative (at the time anyway) attachments. But more recently it all seems to be style over substance. What is particularly frustrating is that my Cook Processor has died on me, and no third party can fix it for me because Kitchenaid don't make the parts available. I've been waiting 7 months for Kitchenaid to arrange for someone to collect and fix it. I'm told them I'm happy to pay for it because it's out of warranty, and they still aren't capable of doing anything.

KitchenAid is the worst company I have ever had to deal with. We bought a frosted pearl kettle and toaster. The kettle is leaking and they don’t make that anymore. We were just told we have to buy a different one. They were totally unhelpful and wouldn’t even give us any money back for a new kettle. Don’t touch KitchenAid. It is rubbish. Tried to talk to customer services but all they ever do is put the phone down on you rubbish!!

I wish i had read reviews before purchasing. Pretty to look at but extremely poor performance for the price ! First kettle failed a week out of warranty, and i was stupid enough to buy an even more expensive one with a 5 year warranty which has failed after 1 year and has been in repair for far to long, once again leaving us to use our £20 kettle which has worked well for way over 5 years ?!
Bought a toaster which needs to be set twice to brown the toast, and got so tired of dealing with their customer service dept that we are just living with it. I would never spend money on KitchenAid again !! I suggest that you avoid it too.

AVOID! Absolutely shocking company to deal with, who do not process refunds within 2 weeks of products being returned. Ordered a blender on the 18th May which was immediately returned unopened and confirmed as received by KitchenAid on the 22nd May, Order still displayed as shipped despite confirmation from courier of return. Outdated processes. There so called ‘customer care’ are clueless as to what is going on and not trusted to do anything apart from pass issues onto the ‘relevant department’. All designed to delay making customer refunds. Scandalous behaviour! I would strongly recommend avoiding purchasing anything from KitchenAid, unless you are prepared to take the risk that it will be weeks before any money is refunded if you return a purchase. No other option but to contact credit card company and raise a chargeback claim.

Maybe the worst shopping experience…
Maybe the worst shopping experience ever! Order the product and it gave me delivery for the Monday and I would receive it by this date. I ordered it only on this basis. No confirmation of dispatch 2 days later still no dispatch and the rude customer service advisor told me there is no cancellation, even though it had not be dispatched. Later on that day they gave me a false DPD tracking number and now they do not answer my emails. I am told to return back to them at my expense as this needed to be received by a certain date and no is too late. Never ever want anyone else to spend all day on the phone and sending emails that they do not respond to. Shop at your peril!
Disappointed and break consumer law
I had two below the standard experiences with KitcenAid. First I got this expensive mixer and the paddle was too high and could not regulate with the adjuster so I was send another one which had exactly the same issue. Another time I bought the variable temperature control kettle, which I fell in love with and was saving for months. It was advertised stated stainless steel. After a while, during descaling I discovered it was lined with plastic inside. So I went back to the advert thinking I did not do diligent enough research but no they have omitted this information. So I have contacted the company but they just ignored. Previously I thought KitchenAid was a high end kitchen appliances but having those experiences I dont think that anymore. I also think they are misleading customers for their own profit and that does not make them a decent company in my eyes.
Paddles with the scraper are as rubbish as the customer service
Paddles with the scraper keep breaking. The scraper comes away and the paint all chips. It’s happened to 3 of mine, purchased in the last few months. Previous paddles I’ve had for years with no issues. Customer service is SHOCKING!!! I’ve phoned 3 times, emailed 6 times and I get no responses. When I phone again to chase I am told they are out of stock, yet I can buy the paddles online????

For such a well known company and often advertised by television chefs especially Nigella, kitchen aid is a pretty shit company. I have emailed 4 times and all the correspondence I’ve had back is an acknowledgement of my email
stainless steel kettle and toaster
I bought a stainless steel kettle and toaster combination set in July 25. The lid on the stainless steel kettle has always been temperamental but got worse in recent months. To their credit Kitchenaid replaced the item. However the same problem happened again on the SECOND kettle and this time within weeks. I wanted both items to match so asked for an exchange for another set and I was happy to pay the difference. I was advised this was not the policy and I could go through the process again for another kettle repair? Why would I do this when the majority of the reviews show this is a known problem? Has very high expectations of Kitchenaid but this purchase as not been fit for purpose and turned out to be nothing but a waste of money in my situation
