I really enjoyed this course and felt I learned a lot. I especially found the sections on Word very easy to follow. The tutors were easily accessible and answered all my questions. I would have liked some practice exercises, but that's me, and many on the internet can be searched out. I would highly recommend this course for anyone starting out in proofreading. Great value for money!

After losing my previous job, I happened across a blog post about how one could become a professional proofreader and several places to gain a certification. Knowadays was among them, and after some research, I decided to buy Knowadays's course because of the positive reviews and the guarantee of work upon completion of the course. I'm glad I did as the course was thorough and informative. Well worth the money! Now I am working for their partner, Proofed, and I have a job that is challenging and also makes me happy. I would definitely recommend Knowadays to anyone who enjoys reading and proofreading and/or is looking for a career change.

Becoming a Proofreader is very informative and thorough with a well-thought-out course flow. The quizzes and exercises within the modules allow you to immediately apply the information covered, and there is an abundance of additional reference material throughout the course for more help. My tutor was very kind and extremely helpful and encouraging with her feedback. This course sets you up for success as long as you do your part and put in the effort. It is absolutely worth it!

After working 20 years in publishing (trained in-house on one particular style), I took this course to broaden my knowledge. The course went above and beyond my expectations. The interactive quizzes and mini assignments help to reinforce the learning. Even though I've finished, I have access to the additions and improvements Knowadays continues to make to the course. I know I'll be popping back in now and again to check things.

The Knowadays tutors I dealt with (both by email and video call) were incredibly helpful and encouraging. Each one provided excellent feedback on my assignments and helpful tips on moving on to the next step. They really know their stuff.

I found the Knowadays Becoming a proofreader course really informative and well structured with lots of practical opportunities to learn and develop your proofreading skills. I learnt so much doing the course and it has helped to hone my grammar, punctuation and spelling skills. The tutors are really helpful and knowledgeable and provide excellent feedback. The course is second to none and great value for money and the opportunity to work for their partner agency Proofed if you achieve a distinction in the final assessment is the icing on the cake.

I am grateful I selected Knowadays' Becoming a Proofreader course because it was thorough while also manageable. I selected this course because of the opportunity to work for their proofreading company, Proofed, upon completion of the course (as long as I scored an 80% or higher on the final assignment, per the course description). I did not wish to freelance myself, so it was very desirable to me that Knowadays had this option. I also highly valued the resources provided and the access to Knowadays tutors. I completed the Becoming A Proofreader course, and thought they were excellent from start to finish. The course itself was great and I learnt a great deal. I liked the fact that there was a mix of slides, quizzes and tutor help (should you need it) and a webinar. And when it came to the final exams, a tutor emailed the results with in-depth comments about what went well and what could be improved, which was also followed by a live video chat to explain this further, which I thought was very useful indeed!
Would definitely recommend.

Knowadays is a wonderful company. When I enrolled in their course, it was clear that they wanted me to succeed and get everything I could from it. They have great tutors who send you videos where they address any issues you have on the course, the help available on the website is fast and efficient, and they even send you extra learning resources at no extra cost. I cannot recommend them highly enough, and because of them I now work as a proofreader, which I really love doing.

This course taught me all manner of editing whatsits, allowing me to really improve in the work I'd already been doing for a while. But the knowledge that Microsoft Word is not wholly evil—that it may even be at least a tad good—is worth the price of admission alone.

'Becoming a Proofreader' is a fantastic course for anybody who wants to take their first steps towards professional proofreading and editing. The explanations of grammatical and spelling conventions are consistently thorough and user-friendly throughout, and there is plenty of information to help with the technical and logistical aspects of entering the world of proofreading. I have recently started to take on my own work as a freelance proofreader thanks to this course. Highly recommended.

This course gave me everything I need to be a qualified proofreader. The tutors were personable and responded to emails quickly. They were also encouraging and gave tips on how to improve my skills. The only issue I had was with the server bouncing my tests results back all three times. I guess it does not like yahoo. However the tutoring team are doing what they can to resolve the problem. I was very pleased with the quality of Knowadays.
