My experience on Kooth has been pretty well so far considering i am new to the site, it was slightly difficult to log in but i dont care since their service has been great to me so far, i have only been sending messages through to inbox and the responses have been lovely, i think im going to try the live chat feature.

On my realy bad days i went to this app.The wait time is absolutely rediculous i once had to wait like and hour but its roughly around a 30min wait which i think is too long and the chats barely even help.

I work with a lot of families. Which I recommend kooth for the young ones. Used for first time today with a family member and sadly can't say it's good. Waited hours for a response to a message then signed us out. I know this is because they are busy but anything can happen in those hours.

This generic service is not adequate, I actually feel like it has caused more stress than resolving any of my mental health barriers. However I recently started receiving support from The Better Health Generation and their support has been incredible and the turnaround to get me seen by their clinicians amazing. I am so grateful.

Terrible service, hard to get on live chat and advice is more around signposting or reading an article, then actually personalised emotional wellbeing support to me.
Joined and waited in a queue over 3 hours to be told they had to close the chat queue. They must be understaffed and dont have the resources to help young people. Always get copy snd paste messages with a load of links that arent helpful. Such a waste of time.
This company is a scam. You join the queue to chat and that's it. Nothing happens. The you find it's logged you out. I've tried four times and never got to speak to anyone. It simply doesn't work
It’s a good site, and I’ve had some really really understanding counsellors. However I sent a message to a specific counsellor (who is brilliant) 12 days ago and I have not yet received a response. I sent another a day ago, just in case it had been missed. I understand you are all very busy but I would like to be informed of the wait times more. Just as I sent another to the inbox two days ago as well and haven’t got a response. I really don’t want to slate any individuals but I have been checking the site every hour, praying for a response. It’s been a rough few weeks.

useless if you struggle with actual mental health issues. you will be ignored. the few responses i've gotten back from 'the team' have not understood the severity of what i'm dealing with. do not recommend.

Nova has been amazing so far! I was to worried about joining the chat queue so when I was feeling down I messaged the team inbox.
Nova responded really quickly and since then she’s offered me assessment chats and possibly doing some sessions with her to learn some coping skills.
Nova always messaged me to see how I am feeling during the week.

I sent a message explaining that I’ve tried other avenues of support such as 111 etc but they didn’t answer and also how difficult it is for me as a neurodivergent person to make phone calls.
I got a message back telling me to call 111 or other helplines …

Right, so basically the website’s alright but the chat queue omfg it’s soooooo long. First, it said they were offline but I was within their working hours then I waited like an hour (probably more) and once again they went offline and no councillors were available. This is not good at all. I know my situation isn’t that severe but I’d still like someone to talk to so I use Kooth and Childline but if someone was being abused or something they would have to suffer for a long time. Also I recommend childline than Kooth but Kooth can improve, I think.

The Kooth staff are great and support you massively. Having a great service like this where you can anonymously share your experiences with others, and listen to other’s experiences reinforces that you are not alone in this or anything. For a free service, the Kooth team and the website itself was a massive help for my mental health and helped me take big steps and recover. There is always someone you can speak to on Kooth whether in a forum or on live chats which helps in current situations. There are also articles and forums about many topics and they aren’t always sad. Kooth has great recourses including their podcast which I love, activities and more. Even on good days, I visit Kooth because I love the community so much. Thank you, Kooth. :)

I never seemed to get anywhere with the chat queues as the wait times were huge, I added a comment in my journal which caught attention of one of the staff, they were lovely and message me saying the could see how important and necessary support was and instead of the chat queue they were going to ensure somebody reached out to me to discuss what I meant by my comment further (which they suggested not me) , this is not the first bad experience with Kooth but I thought I’d try and long story short it’s been a week and still no message of anybody extremely disappointing yet again. I get there busy and there is so many people to get through but this is extremely disappointing. I have now been fully put off using the site.
