LABA was a significant experience for me since before that I was very lost in terms of what I want to do exactly as an artist, and after coming out of LABA I have a way clearer vision of where I am headed artistically.

In LABA I also met many of the talented friends I now work and grow with on my journey as a filmmaker and artist - also had the opportunity to meet and learn from professionals that are very well articulated in their discipline, being able to hear them and have conversations with these mentors is eye opening and very interesting pushing you to think in new ways.

La universidad se distingue por su entorno moderno, dinámico y por las instalaciones y aulas que ofrece a los estudiantes, creando las condiciones ideales para estudiar y trabajar de la mejor manera.

Excelente experiencia. Universidad super recomendada. Pude ampliar y potenciar mis conocimientos de diseño multidisciplinario y tmb conocer a profesionales increíbles además de conocer su forma de trabajar en el mundo real y aprovechando proyectos reales durante los estudios . Fui parte de la primera promoción del grado en Fotografía y Video en el campus de LABA en Valencia, y guardo muy, muy cerca de mi corazón los tres años que pasé en la escuela. Siento una profunda gratitud hacia muchos de los profesionales que tuvimos la suerte de tener como docentes: Antoni, Álvaro, Vincent… Y también estoy muy agradecida a Andrea y Cristina, por quienes siento un cariño infinito, y que me han apoyado y ayudado siempre que lo he necesitado, tanto en mi camino creativo como a nivel personal.

Gracias de todo corazón por vuestra visión, vuestro conocimiento y vuestro cuidado; por la mano firme cuando se necesita y el brazo que sabe sostenernos. De LABA Valencia surgirán grandes generaciones de artistas.

Cursé la titulación universitaria de 3 años en la modalidad de fotografía y vídeo en la academia de Valencia.

He de remarcar que desde el primer momento me sentí muy arropado, tanto por los profesores como por sus directores, porque desde el comienzo hasta el final me guiaron y me dieron consejos de cara a mi futuro profesional. Las clases fueron muy didácticas; en mi caso, al tratarse de fotografía, íbamos mucho al plató, el cual estaba totalmente equipado y con amplio espacio para poder desarrollar mis proyectos. Además, la academia ofrecía la posibilidad de reservar horas extra en dicho plató y un espacio de ordenadores para trabajar.

Agradezco, además, que los profesores nos dieran una atención muy personalizada al ser grupos reducidos; sobre todo, al tratarse de profesionales en activo, nos aportaron una visión más holística de las salidas profesionales y del skillset que demanda la industria audiovisual.

Por no mencionar que la academia contaba con contactos estratégicos que, a la hora de elegir mis prácticas de tercer año, me ayudaron a aprender en lo que respecta al ámbito profesional.

Atesoro los años que pasé allí y de lo único que me arrepiento es de no haberlos aprovechado aún más. Gracias por todo !

Tuve el placer de estudiar la carrera de Diseño Gráfico en LABA Valencia y fue la mejor decisión que tomé en mi vida. Un lugar lleno de profesionales y creatividad pero sobre todo dedicación por los alumnos. A mi me cambió la vida esta escuela. Si estáis pensando en estudiar diseño, fotografía, vídeo... este es vuestro sitio!

La escuela me ha invitado a dar mi opinión sobre el Master MICME que estoy cursando ahora.
Personalmente, estoy tenido una experiencia muy muy buena, con grandes docentes: Pablo es increíble con el Touchdesigner; Jana, la nueva docente de iluminación, nos ha abierto muchísimo el horizonte de lo que se puede hacer con la luz (ahora mismo estamos experimentando con fibra óptica y láser), pero mi asignatura preferida es la de Ilgin, la de Proyectos, porqué allí es donde analizamos propuestas realizadas, presentamos nuestras ideas, las defendemos y desarrollamos juntos con los compañeros.
Es una asignatura que nos permite hacer evolucionar nuestras ideas junto con lo que vamos aprendiendo en los otros módulos.
También me gusta mucho que nos proponen retos más allá de las clases, como el concierto audiovisual de Navidad, o masterclasses con artistas visuales o sonoros, empresas y otros profesionales y creadores, también de otras áreas, como por ejemplo fotógrafos, directores de cine, directores creativos y editores, escritores. Es una forma muy bonita, y yo creo que también necesaria, para ampliar horizontes y expandir la creatividad en nuevas direcciones.
Por el momento, realmente no tengo nada de que quejarme, al contrario, me siento muy bien. La acogida y la atención también son buenas y, en general, cuando tenemos alguna petición, siempre hay alguna persona (el coordinador o los directores) que nos escucha. Otra cosa que me gusta bastante son las instalaciones. En el centro de Valencia, un edificio precioso y con los equipos que necesitamos, es un ambiente bastante inspirador. Además hace cosa de un mes nos abrieron un nuevo espacio de estudio y trabajo solo para los estudiantes del MICME (el piso MICME), y ya se ha transformado en nuestro refugio experimental.
En fin, de momento todo va bien y tengo muchas ganas de empezar el proceso del proyecto final (aunque, por suerte, faltan meses todavía :)), para poder materializar las ideas que se me están ocurriendo. Esto es posiblemente lo mejor del máster: he llegado con ideas que no sabía como realizar, y ni solo estoy aprendiendo a hacerlo, sino que estoy también haciéndolas evolucionar junto con mi criterio estético y artístico.
Si que en estos meses he visto algunas cosas a mejorar, pero la respuesta de la dirección siempre ha sido rápida y positiva. Por ejemplo, en noviembre algunos de nosotros hablamos con el coordinador porqué en las clases de Touch Designer había dos niveles bastante distintos, y esto hacía que algunos de nosotros sentíamos que íbamos demasiado lentos. Lo hablamos con la dirección y la semana siguiente ya teníamos, además de Pablo, un profesor más de Touch Designer, para apoyar los que iban más atrás. Y en las clases de TouchDesigner separaron el grupo en dos grupos según el nivel. Y esto ha hecho que todos podamos avanzar según el nivel que tengamos: los que estamos más avanzados ir más rápidos, los que están un poco más atrás, no perderse.
Bueno, hasta aquí va mi exeriencia con el MICME.

I had been procrastinating on writing this review for a while now, and had actually put it off as I continued with my life, but yesterday I stumbled with the link of trust pilot again in some notes and found out someone went on a rampage discrediting all the bad reviews of the university and the MICME program.
I find this really suspicious, specially since I saw a now deleted review, a positive one that was done by a suspicious account (I've got screenshots, censored name but you know who you are: E*_*z) with whom apparently I took the Master MICME (2024/2025) and who said came from Latin America, but from the only 3 latinas that enrolled with me I don't think any of them are doing an internship with a prestigious design company as was explicitly stated in the review... and the description of the experience didn't really fit any of them from what I know... so what was that?
I also think that to go around saying that the bad reviews are fake is really disingenuous, why would a bunch of people across 2 or 3 years just randomly write bad reviews of an institution that is not really that known? what is there to gain? and all of them that similar. Yes, all of them are anonymous because there is a clear power dynamic legally that most of us don't have enough knowledge about and yes, the fear of them taking unfair action is real, also the awful stuff they do is not on record to actually do something about, it just happens in a rush and then you're left hurt and pissed that you can't do anything about it. It IS true that someone had to drop out by the end of the year in which I took the master, "technically" they finished and had the diploma but the whole situation was really tense and awful, they didn't attend like the last 2 or 3 months (of an 8 month course) because the energy was so bad towards them, they were ignored during classes, or left to be tutored by the end of the class but the time always ran out, they where disrespected as they described (I was also told the "I make the decisions here" frase a couple of times), and they didn't get the chance to present with the rest of us, they had to set up their thesis in a random room and present it only to the teachers, I honestly didn't even get to see it. Maybe legally they finished but in actual practice they were not able to as a result of this hostile and unprofessional environment. There were also other insults not recorded towards other people, and some other people also almost didn't present their final project in the ✋MICME festival🤚 because of arbitrary choices and made up rivalries by the adults in charge. Which by the way we were promised that there would be "professionals and companies" of the industry but I don't really remember seeing that many, most of them cancelled and in the end it was basically just our families. It was a nice experience (for me, who wasn't in fear of being kicked out of it at the last minute) but that 5 star deleted opinion kinda oversold it in a weird way, seems to me like that one was the actual fake ex-student 🤔.
Yes, there are some students that had a good experience and obviously those are the ones that they invite to the open house events, I think for them the €€€ didn't seem as outrageous as it is, but the reality is that the experience of the majority at least in my year was stressful, frustrating and disappointing, some just left it as it was, for some is not that easy (because of economic and emotional aspects), tbh by the end with the final projects you feel connection and responsibility to the project and the institution because you put your soul in it, so the horrible months before fade a little bit which is why I think people just prefer to forget about it and continue with their things, but a huge part of the projects at least in my experience where 70% supported by our knowledge and experience from before the master and only the other 30% was what we could apply from the actual course, there was ONE professor who was really present and helpful, but I was completely ignored and left on my own by another one because of a mistake HE made, and he was pretty much in charge of a huge part of my project, the rest were just kinda absent. I really hope that they upped the quality as this sketchy half term comments suggest but of what I have seen from afar it certainly doesn't look like it, and this whole response of the opinions and allegedly making up a fake student to leave a good review (since I can't actually proove it) seems like a desperate attempt to cover up the mess they left, which is pretty on brand with some of the things they did and said, and at least to me makes the institution look even worse since they could just instead fix the issues that are so simple. Don't disrespect your students, listen to reasonable requests instead of being defensive about anything and everything, and don't overpromise and underdeliver.

I’m currently doing the MICME Master at LABA Valencia (2025/26) and I’ve only been here a few months, but honestly it’s been a really good experience so far. The vibe is very open and relaxed, and it didn’t take long to feel comfortable in class or working with the rest of the group.

I also feel like I’m learning a lot across the different classes, especially because everything is very hands-on and you’re constantly applying what you’re doing. What I like most is how the programme mixes things like technology, sound, visuals and interactivity. The Project course is where things really start to click and you actually see how ideas turn into something more concrete. They also bring in professionals and former students to talk about what they’re doing, which is super helpful and makes it all feel way more real. Overall, the course feels really flexible and supportive, which definitely helps when you’re settling in.
Very good experience so far

LABA (Valencia) is pure marketing. It looks very nice, very international, very ideal, but in reality, it isn’t. It appears to be managed by individuals who seem to struggle with the level of organization a school requires. Despite their large social-media following, the institution seems to have limited staff available to properly support students and the overall operation. Furthermore, I know firsthand that the teachers, no matter how good they are, aren’t even hired by the school… they’re all freelancers. I’ve even seen competent people (not only teachers) suddenly stop working at LABA for arbitrary reasons or no reason at all. That’s just plain labor precariousness. If you’re considering investing your hard-earned money in your future, I’d recommend thinking carefully, as I feel this school does not provide the value one might expect.

I’m sharing some of the things that were said to me during my experience at LABA Valencia (MICME), also reported by my colleagues. Because yes—besides being individually humiliated during various meetings, some of us (myself included) were also subjected to mobbing and mistreatment, leading to tensions caused by the prejudice of the management toward certain targeted students.
This kind of completely uneducational attitude forced me to make the decision to leave the institution, without the chance to properly complete my final project. In fact, I was not allowed to present at the university’s official exhibition, unlike the other students, as I was deemed “inadequate.”
The only thing I’m grateful for is the short duration of this nightmare—which, by the way, started a month late due to organizational issues on the part of the management. This was a recurring problem throughout the so-called “academic year” and one of the reasons I had requested a meeting with the director—likely the very moment when the harassment began, with significant psychological consequences.
Thank you, LABA, for showing me what I never want to become—though I wish I hadn't spent €10,000 to learn that.

The money you save by offering a fake scholarship (since it’s given to every student) will all go straight to therapy. 😉

I attended and graduated at the Master in Multimedia creation for the year 2025. I have a lot of things to report about this school but first I'm gonna give to you the most important infos: 1) take a good look when you acept the agreement with the school when you enroll: instead of the majority of universities in Europe if you have to stop your journey there, you have to pay anyway the whole year fee, which is a lot of money (for a common person). I'm gonna highlight this cause in my classroom a lot of people finished their year just because they already payed everything either if they weren't finding themself good in the school (such as me). Second of all, just looking at the real offer of the school, the spaces, the hours of lessons, the opportunity after the Master...(so not the ads or what the school shows in social media) the money were absolutely not worth it. For this reason I encourage whoever is curious about enrolling in this school to ask to many ex students as possible.
Anyway since a lot of things happened during (less than) a year I'm gonna just give a list of examples of why I cannot suggest this school to anyone.
The teaching team is, in general, pretty good but unfortunately the directors are very mentally unstable and with a very strict idea on what is art, what can be professional and what not (that basically reflect their personal taste, that also can radically change one day to the other). The directors are a couple and unfortunately different times happened to assist to their fight (since the school is very little), most of the time related to disagreements on how to manage a ordinary situation with a teacher or with a student.
For this reason having a real coherent guide, a professional reference and building a deep and peer to peer relationship with the whole teaching team was very difficult.
Asking for a more clear organization, more information and a more serious approach most of the time was seen as an outrageous attack to the persons behind the direction and that affect several student's journey this year.
If you can deal with toxic relationship with power or you have a degree in pedagogy you can handle this Master.
Also the Master started one month later than should be without any information about when we should recover those hours and in fact we never recover them.
The scholarship it happens to be "fake" because all the students of the Master had one.
Not all the students could follow every lessons physically for working or personal reasons and this was seen from the direction as disinterest and Another personal attach, for this reason several of the classes they've been treated very rudely till the end, in some cases not allow them to present any work for the TFM. As I said at the beginning, everyone had payed everything already and as client, everyone should be allowed to receive all the benefits for what they paid.
I also privately spoke with different teachers and they agreed on mine and other students struggle mostly related with the directors personality so their whole management.

Me dejé llevar por la imagen que proyectan en redes y por la idea de que era una escuela internacional. Lamentablemente, la realidad ha sido completamente mala.

Uno esperaría que, al pagar tanto dinero  más todos los gastos que conlleva vivir en otro país, se le trate al menos con respeto. Pero lo que hemos vivido y lo que muchos compañeros también, ha sido totalmente un ambiente TÓXICO, hay un trato desigual entre alumnos, decisiones tomadas por favoritismo o pura arbitrariedad, y comentarios despectivos Y MUY HIERETES que cruzan la línea del profesionalismo. Esta actitud autoritaria y poco transparente crea un clima de tensión constante que va en contra de cualquier proceso creativo.

Lo más preocupante de todo esto es que estoy convencido de que la sede italiana de LABA no tiene ni idea del tipo de gestión que se está llevando a cabo en Valencia. No creo que aprueben este nivel de maltrato, desorganización y negligencia hacia los estudiantes, porque si lo supieran, algo ya habría cambiado.

Yo no suelo dejar reseñas negativas, pero en este caso lo hago porque siento que es lo mínimo que puedo hacer para advertir a otras personas que están pensando en invertir su tiempo, dinero y energía en este lugar. No lo vale. No por ese precio. No por el maltrato académico y tóxico que se vive, en vez de ser algo bonito ha sido un ambiente horrible para muchos que hemos salido de nuestros pises… no es recomendable este máster y mucho menos si buscas una formación seria, humana y de calidad.

Hay muchas otras escuelas donde sí se valora el trabajo del estudiante, donde hay un acompañamiento real, y donde uno se puede desarrollar sin miedo, sin sentirse ignorado o maltratado. Ojalá esta reseña sirva para que alguien evite pasar por la frustración que yo viví.

If you’re considering LABA Valencia, I’d seriously think twice. The school looks great from the outside and the marketing is on point, but once you’re in, things are very different. Communication is a disaster, feedback comes late or never, and you’re mostly left to figure things out on your own.

There’s also a weird power dynamic between staff and students. Some teachers are helpful, but others are passive-aggressive or avoidant. The worst part is the attitude from the director….she refuses to talk to the class and also with each of us. It creates this environment where you’re afraid to ask for help, and many students end up feeling unheard or completely dismissed.

I’ve seen people being treated unfairly, left out of decisions, There’s no clear process to defend yourself or get clarity. You’re basically on your own.

Final projects are also a mess. Timelines shift, roles change, and people get removed from teams without explanation. Decisions are made top-down with little transparency or logic, which is especially frustrating for a creative program that’s supposed to be collaborative and open. Also as an Artist…

There’s potential here, for sure. But right now, it’s not a healthy or respectful environment. Definitely not worth the tuition. There are a lot of other cheap courses also in YouTube you can learn everything with tutorials.

Also...if you have any doubts if this comment are fake, We invite you to write any of the students to ask, all comments here are completly true, and also LABA is trying to say that its fake, but we have proves of all!

Lamentablemente, mi experiencia en LABA Valencia ha sido muy decepcionante debido a la incompetencia de la dirección. A pesar de contar con un profesorado competente, la gestión es terrible. La organización es pésima, y he sido testigo de mal trato y faltas de respeto que son inaceptables en cualquier entorno educativo.

Es evidente que la prioridad de la dirección es el dinero, no el bienestar de los estudiantes. No muestran ninguna compasión o consideración por las necesidades individuales. Esta actitud desinteresada y codiciosa ha hecho que mi tiempo aquí sea una experiencia muy negativa.

Recomiendo encarecidamente no gastar su dinero en LABA Valencia. Hay muchas otras instituciones que valoran a sus estudiantes y ofrecen una educación de calidad sin el mal trato y la desorganización que he encontrado aquí.

No se inscriban en el master. Si tienen alguna duda, busquen a cualquiera de los alumnos del curso anterior (tienen sus nombres en la página web de Laba) y pregúntenles personalmente. No pierdan su dinero. Venden más de lo que cumplen. Solo quiebran sueños.

El máster comenzó con más de 15 personas, pero solo 7 lograron completarlo. La dinámica se asemeja más a una dictadura que a un ambiente de aprendizaje. Si bien el cuerpo docente es competente, la dirección del programa deja mucho que desear.
