I applied for the Product Designer II, Assistant role. After a short time, I received a rejection stating that another candidate had been selected. However, the position remained publicly listed as “open” on the company’s Careers page even after the rejection.

This inconsistency raises questions about the transparency of the hiring process. From a candidate perspective, it gives the impression that the posting may not reflect an active, genuinely open role. Clear communication and accurate job postings would significantly improve the candidate experience.

Absolutely disgraceful oversight from a company that claims to run educational platforms, positioning itself as a leader in learning and productivity

As the parent company of Learneo, platforms like Course Hero and CliffsNotes carry a responsibility to maintain educational integrity. Unfortunately, while browsing public sections of these platforms, I repeatedly came across posts openly promoting the sale of fake reviews, social media manipulation services, and other questionable commercial content that clearly does not belong in an academic environment.

What is most concerning is not just the presence of such material, but how easily it can be found through simple navigation of public sitemaps. This suggests gaps in moderation, filtering, or proactive monitoring. For platforms used by students and educators worldwide, this undermines trust and the credibility of the learning ecosystem they claim to support.

The response to reports feels procedural rather than preventive. Removing a few links after complaints does not address the broader issue when similar content keeps appearing month after month.

A company advocating “learning better and faster” should prioritize keeping its educational spaces free from spam, scams, and commercial abuse. Until stronger moderation systems are visibly in place, the gap between stated values and actual platform hygiene remains disappointing.
