A lady responded by telephone the day after my internet enquiry. Everything relating to the writing of my will was explained to me carefully and exactly. At that stage I felt safe and assured and arranged a phone call for a person to take my instructions. The lady who called was kind and patient. The draft will was emailed the next day, approved by me and my completed will was mailed to me for signing.
The whole experience was smooth and precise and I feel I made all the right decisions. I thank Secure Legacy for a timely and stress free experience.

They really try and get you to pay more…
They really try and get you to pay more for unnecessary extras. The will they provide is apparently useless according to reviews here and they advertise a will for £19.99 on their website but they charged me £47. I didn't receive my will after 10 days so far. Disappointed.

14 Day Cooling off period they failed to inform me about
Don't use these people, they took my money £399, lied to me, not mentioning anything about a 14 day cooling off period, and would not refund me, and from what I have read here they don't follow through when someone dies, they just wait and ignore people, and cry innocent.
DO NOT USE THEM!!!
Typical reply from Secure Legacy, just a way for them to get further details so they can threaten you with prosecution if you do not comply, I WILL NOT COMPLY.

Very hard sell. They asked for my credit card details for down payment straight away. I explained that I wanted to check their credentials first and the caller terminated the call.

Shocking service. Avoid at all costs
Booked the call to make a will and to talk about Lasting Power of Attorney for me and my partner. The wills are done but the LPA’s are apparently not possible as I made it clear that I wanted my daughter to be an attorney. However, as she is under 18 years of age, this apparently cannot be legally done.
At this point we should have been offered to have £495 fees for the LPA refunded as they couldn’t provide an LPA with this designated Attorney. They therefore hadn’t provided a suitable, legal LPA for either of us. We asked for a refund of the payment for our LPA’s but was told they don’t do any refunds more than 14 days of the original call!
How utterly unprofessional! This is really shady conduct and they only offered to change names to different Attorneys which we don’t want. Avoid this company at all costs They took £995 from my credit card and haven’t provided us with any suitable LPA’s. Please be also aware that at no point do they let you know you will have to pay the Government to pay to register any LPA. In my view this is really a failure of a duty of care as people are asking for, what they hope is Legal and Professional advice to help their loved ones if the worst should happen. I have asked them to reconsider refunding the £495 for the LPA’s and just keep the money for the wills but they refuse.

At no stage do we provide false information, or attempt to mislead clients. All services, costs, and any optional recommendations are explained clearly during the appointment, and clients are under no obligation to proceed at any point. Suggesting otherwise is simply incorrect.
In relation to your request for a refund, our 14-day cooling-off period applies in this matter. As with any professional company, we operate in accordance with our terms and conditions.
We are, of course, happy to assist you in finalising your documents and arranging for them to be posted to you for signing. We have attempted to contact you regarding this matter but have unfortunately been unable to reach you.

Very straightforward
Overall, a great service. I was helping my very elderly mother to update her will and this was easy because all the details were taken over the phone, so we didn't have to go to the trouble of getting her to an office somewhere. It was quick and efficient and cost effective. The only thing that grated on me a bit was that they were extremely insistent in trying to sell us the add-on of registration and storage of the will. We have no need of this but it was quite hard to get him to accept "no" - had my mother been on her own, she probably would have paid the extra.
