1 Star — Extremely disappointing first experience
I placed an order during Lola Blankets’ “Christmas in August” sale on August 20, 2026. My order confirmation stated that, due to exceptional demand, orders could take up to 10 days to process before shipping.
I was patient and waited until well beyond that timeframe before contacting customer service. When I finally reached out, I was told that the sale had caused unusually high order volume and that orders could take up to 10 **business** days.
On September 1, Lola specifically told me that my order was “on track to be physically tendered to the carrier” by September 3. I was also explicitly told that if it was not handed over to the carrier by the end of September 3, Lola would **immediately process a full cancellation and refund** as I had requested.
September 3 came and went. My order was not physically tendered to a carrier, and I did not receive a shipping confirmation or tracking information.
Instead, I received another generic email saying my order was “almost on its way.”
On September 4, I again requested cancellation and a full refund. On September 5, rather than honoring the cancellation they had already agreed to process, I received another email asking me to reconfirm that I wanted to cancel and stating that I would forfeit the $50 gift card associated with the order.
At this point, I am tired of the games and delays.
The issue isn't simply that my order was delayed. Delays happen. The problem is the **inconsistent communication, missed commitments, repeated requests for additional patience, and failure to honor a specific written promise to cancel and refund the order if it was not physically shipped by September 3.**
Lola was very quick to take my payment, but considerably slower to fulfill the order or provide a straightforward resolution.
I have retained the complete email correspondence documenting everything above and have disputed the transaction with my bank.
As for the $50 gift card, I am not concerned about forfeiting it. After this experience, I have no intention of ordering from Lola Blankets again.
This was a horrible first impression of a company that markets itself as providing a premium experience. I would strongly recommend that Lola improve its fulfillment planning during major sales, clearly distinguish between calendar and business days, and—most importantly—honor its commitments to customers.
**I would not order from Lola Blankets again.**
