I have my 3rd Luggie bought 21 Aug 2024. It is due a service. Unable to contact by phone - number seems to be disconnected. Sent email -no reply. Have discovered in Keighley Newspaper this company also was in Keighley before Leigh and was closed down in 2012 for sharp practice, miselling scooter to age 80 woman with two legs amputated and lack of staff training. Have they been shut down again?

This is my second review and whilst there may be a perfectly good reason, Luggies have not contacted me about the service due on my scooter due 29/7/25. Despite 4 emails and many unanswered telephone calls and what appears to be the blocking of my telephone number. The fee of £235 being paid on 28/7.
What concerns me is on checking the internet the message displayed is “This website no longer available”.

So pleased I know about this shop
Very pleased with my purchase from them and the help and advice we received. I had a luggie previously (2009-2016) so knew their capability - great turning circle, narrow and small when folded. The shop staff were professional and kind and we were in and out successfully in under an hour with a reconditioned model which is a cost-effective option. There was adequate space to test the scooters inside the showroom, which is a bonus in doubtful weather. I would recommend them to others.

Sold me a faulty scooter and have ignored my email asking for a refund.
Update - luggie have negative feedback removed from online review portals where they can. They dont want you to hear about the poor service and faulty products!
Update again. THE FACT IS THAT YOU HAVE IGNORED MY EMAIL ASKING FOR A REFUND ON 8TH JUNE. Leaving a review is the only way to communicate with you it seems. You do remove reviews and yet what has been stated is factual as we have informed Trustpilot. If you pride yourself on service then reply to my emails and arrange a date for me to return the scooter for a refund as requested and as per my statutory legal rights! Otherwise, this will go to the small claims court. Your knew there was a fault on the day i bought it as it wouldnt start in the showroom. You assured me it was ok and i trusted you. It was taken on a holiday and failed to work on many occasions leaving my elderly mum stranded. we had to manage without it and this spoiled my mums enjoyment of the holiday as without the scooter she was less mobile. We have witnesses because staff at a castle had to help us with my mum due to the faulty scooter. Clearly you know its faulty hence not wanting to take it back and refund me!

Dear Sir or Madam,
REFERENCE: Order 2073 - Luggie mobility scooter
I purchased a Luggie mobility scooter from Luggie Scooters. At the point of purchase I paid £760.00.
The scooter cuts out suddenly despite full battery charge. It will not restart unless it's plugged into a mains socket and then cuts out again once it is being used. The fault is intermittent and so it is not fit for purpose, or as described when purchased from you.
I first raised this complaint with you by email on 8TH June and have not received a reply. I have now taken legal advice.
The Consumer Rights Act 2015 makes it an implied term of the contract I have with Luggie Scooters that goods be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality.
As you are in breach of contract and I've owned the product between 31 days and 6 months, I am within my statutory rights to ask for it to be refunded.
I await confirmation that you will provide the remedy set out above within 14 days of the date of this letter and arrange a date for me to return the scooter failing which the matter will be referred to the small claims court.

DEFINITELY a gold star rating. I started with no expectations whatsoever. My mobility scooter had died. I needed a new battery, I went on the internet found this company and spoke to thier representative with no idea, they talked me through the workings of the scooter, took photo's and luckily they found the batteries I needed, now I'm doing warp speed in the garden. I can't thank them enough. Fantastic service.

Great service
Chloe was extremely helpful assessing why my scooter battery would not charge. The technician tested the battery for charging and and advised it was good no damage and in fact the charger was incorrect voltage for my travels abroad etc.
in the interim Chloe kindly lent me a charger and I ordered a replacement which arrived in time for a forthcoming holiday and I am very pleased with it. I would normally use these guys for service too. Thanks very much for a great experience

Following someone at Tesco crippling my…
Following someone at Tesco crippling my mobility scooter I had to ring Luggie scooter. As it was a Saturday they only had Saturday shift on that day but I spoke one colleague but I didn’t get her name but the other lady I dealt with was Jasmine and she went out of her way to assist and sent me videos of what needed to do to restore the twisted chair back to its original position. Took a few days but eventually after a further video on how to support the wheel to stop it from turning around we managed to get the bolt out of the wrong hole. Jasmin made sure she was there to assist with other solutions where one solution didn’t work. Admin has certainly improved since the last time I dealt with Luggie.

Repair or replace?
My ancient Luggie Standard broke down while we were in Rome - too many cobbles - and Luggie Scooters not only worked out what needed fixing (the motor) but also lent me a courtesy scooter while I waited for mine to be looked at. I ended up buying a refurbished Luggie Elite Deluxe from them, at a really good price. Excellent customer service, especially from Chloe, which is what I have always experienced with Luggie Scooters.

Luggie Scooters offers decent service with knowledgeable staff like Allan and Jasmine, who provide helpful demonstrations and polite assistance. While the support is generally efficient, I found some interactions a bit overly detailed, which can be overwhelming. Ordering and delivery were smooth, but the experience might vary depending on the representative you get. Overall, it's an average experience, neither too thrilling nor disappointing.
