Lyons Bowe Solicitors - Shepton Mallet Reviews

We cannot fault the service we received from Lyons Bowe solicitors, in particular Ally and Faine. From start to finish of a complicated 6 month house purchase, they were available at the end of the phone or via email. We had many questions that were answered promptly and professionally. The service was exceptional.

I have used Lyons Bowe a few times over the past year for property sales, purchases, and declaration of trusts. Whilst their services are competitively priced, cheap certainly does not mean cheerful and the level of service has gone downhill.

During our latest case, there have been simple failures including:
1. misspelling of names in communications
2. requesting a release of funds from my mortgage provider before we had exchanged and without notifying me first
3. poor telephone manner reflecting the lack of competence and experience of staff
4. The inability to pick up the phone or communicate in general. We had several complaints from our estate agents that their messages were not responded to and we often had to try and make contact for the estate agent as well as contacting my mortgage provider to confirm they were happy to release funds so that we could exchange contracts because staff members were claiming they didn’t know despite making the request.
5. Having to repeat our requests several times with examples which were not read and documented

Should Lyons Bowe wish to be competitive from a service perspective, they need to enforce greater training schemes for junior members of staff to build a better client relationship where an element of trust is built. Having members of staff not able to answer conveyancing questions when an estate agent can is disconcerting and often left us concerned throughout our property purchases and sales.

Lyons Bowe helped us put together our wills and the service was excellent. Tazmin was responsive and very clear in her guidance, suggesting things we had not considered but could be important.

Thank you to Tazmin and her team for updating our Will,
Making it easy to understand and guiding us through the whole process, we could phone or Email to ask any questions we were not sure about,
Lyons Bowe stored and registered our Will free of charge which was an added bonus.
I would highly recommend them.

Friendly and listened to. Expedited my mother’s estate.

We received excellent service from Lyins Bowe in our conveyancing / property sale. They had dedicated teams and nominated individuals handling each stage of my sale, and throughout the process kept me fully informed of every update. They were proactive and continually chased progress from the other side, who were often slow to take action. Thanks to their efficiency and communication, the whole experience was far less stressful than it could have been.

I’m not sure if I can pick out specific people who were exceptional so will just say that I'm very happy to recommend Lyons Bowe and will definitely use them again.

Selling and buying a property is a very stressful period but at last we are nearly there with grateful thanks to Abi Gibbs.
Replies to her enquiries were often protracted giving rise to much frustration. It seemed we would never get there.
However, Abi managed to pull it all together to achieve and exchange date acceptable to all parties.
Well done Abi and thank you from both of us.

Easy to follow instructions via email to arrange making a will. A virtual meeting was arranged and Andrea talked us through the process with impartiality and transparency. Would recommend Lyons Bowe based on this experience.

Lyons Bowe team throughout a property purchase and a sale have been great. We found the different dedicated teams who specialise in each stage of the process helpful and, importantly, responsive to queries at all times. Buying and selling property is stressful at the best of times; Lyons Bowe kept the stress to a minimum for us.

I used their services under the free will initiative to up date my will. The whole process was clear and straight forward from my initial consultation with Rhiannon Cape to receiving the finalised documents from Lauren James. Any queries were dealt with promptly and communication was maintained throughout. I have no hesitation to recommend this firm of solicitors.

Lyon’s Bowe were amazing in carrying out the purchase of our first home which can be such a stressful and daunting process. They provide regular updates via email so you always know what’s going on, very helpful whenever I had questions. I’d highly recommend and would definitely use them again the future. Thanks so much again for all your help.

I was put in touch with Lyons Bowe Solicitors via the charity lead free wills month. I recommend them thoroughly. From start to end, the whole team have been friendly, efficient, personable and helpful. Our solicitor Andrea Mapstone in particular was superb. The group use an on-line portal and virtual meetings which are both efficient and effective. The team have been timely throughout, engaging quickly, responding quickly and delivering as they promise. I highly recommend them and would certainly engage with them on other services if needed - thanks to everyone in the team.

Selling a property is normally a very stressful and unsettling period. However, Alisha Keerthisinghe who dealt with our sale kept us informed at every stage of the proceedings.
Her expertise gave us the confidence that it was in capable hands. It progressed smoothly to completion. Thank you Alisha

I've only ever had seamless experiences with Lyons Bowe, Shepton Mallet office. They are my go-to for any legal matters. Highly recommend and thank you Lyons Bowe team for making it all so easy throughout my sales and purchases over the years.

Rhea Strawford raised lots of queries related to my property purchase, which took some time to resolve, but everything was resolved in the end.

Our contact was very responsive and had a pleasant manner. Questions were responded to promptly. I really liked the slick and informative Lyons Bowe App, so I could easily keep up with progress.
