Really disappointed with my experience buying from Maaree.

As a reward for completing my first half marathon I decided to treat myself to a maaree solidarity bra. Far more expensive than I would normally buy, but I was sold on their marketing.

I booked for a bra fitting. Again, from the marketing I expected them to put me at ease, as it is a very vulnerable experience and they do this daily. I was met with a sullen woman who did nothing to put me at ease and basically wanted me gone asap.

I ordered the size recommended and when it arrived it was too small. After another awkward fitting, she recommended me the size up. This wasn't in stock, so I was advised to return the bra for store credit until it was back in stock. I signed up for stock alerts and duly heard nothing since.

Many months went by and I contacted Maaree only to be told stock was due at the end of March. At the end of April I contacted them again as it still wasn't in stock, and the told me it would be available in May.

In June, 6 months after my original order, the bra finally came back in stock. When placing my order, despite it being an exchange I was told I'd have to pay delivery as I had left it too long. When I pointed out this was due to their stock issues, I had an email from customer service telling me I had missed two restockings, as though this was my fault for not diligently checking the website on a daily basis.

Ultimately it was a huge amount of hassle and all I gained from the experience was two awkward bra fittings and my time wasted.

I'm so happy I've finally found a supportive bra for running that doesn't chafe or have uncomfortable underwire/underband. The material is soft, smooth and lightweight. I wore this bra comfortably for a whole day, before and after a running event, and never had the feeling of wanting to rip it off, as I do with most sports bra after just a short time.
The staff are responsive and friendly on email and in the online fittings which were super helpful. I'm usually a 30H but apparently needed a cup larger, which isn't currently available so found the 32H better for me. If you need support that you're not getting from other sports bra, this is the brand to go for.

The solidarity bra is literally the best for high impact sports/fitness! I've tried so many different brands but they have not made me feel secure, this sports bra fits so well and provides a lot more support especially on a bigger chest. I had 2 online fittings to help me find the correct size, trust me these ladies know what they're talking about! The material is soft, they wash well and it's very well made. Couldn't recommend more, I'm about to buy my 2nd one!

A lot of research has gone into the design of their bras, and they are on the expensive side but you get what you pay for. Very supportive bra for running (I bought the Solidarity High Impact), which is definitely a compression bra (flattens and minimises). I love the online fittings that they offer, which I used twice as I didn't feel the size was right at first. It did seem a bit strange, but both fitters were lovely and put me at ease. And in the end I got the right size.

I have bought and been disappointed by so many bras marketed as hi-impact. Initially I was surprised by Maaree’s recommended size but I trusted the advice and found the bra very comfortable, totally supportive and it properly controlled the bounce.

Had 2 fittings to get right size which i found helpful. Im very happy with the product and been recommending to all my female friends. Is the best sports bra i have ever come across for larger breasts.

A great Company to interact with although this time for me the fit didn't work as I am a bit of an odd size though. The 34" band was too big yet the 32" was too small. Its a real shame as I found the on-line fittings really good (I had two), I found the customer service was second to none (two returns, timely replies and prompt refunds) and the quality of the product was great too. I am so sorry this didn't work but because of my experience I will return when the band size is sorted and would have no problem recommending them to others. Thank you folks for being such a refreshing online company to deal with.

I am so impressed with this company. I have tried before to get a good sports bra and was about to give up as other companies seem to get a little irritated when you have to send it back because the fit isn’t right. Maaree have been so helpful and patient,they have gone out of their way to help me. Thanks to this great company I now have a comfortable sports bra to run in. Thank you to all at Maaree.

A woman empowered business that I wanted to support and had hoped it would support me too. Their prices are higher than their competitors yet I was impressed by their work with sports teams.

The bra looked well designed. It had a nice rich colour and had a good compression effect. However my experience was unfortunate, frustrating and disappointing. The online fitting was a waste of time, I was sent a faulty product and expected to pay for the return. There was no apology and acknowledgement the garment sent was faulty. The larger cup size had enormously long straps that could not be suitably adjusted. I think the sizing templates they work from need reviewing for larger cups. The online returns process for postage was particularly frustrating and didn't work.
I would suggest if you have a DD plus cup size that you measure yourself BEFORE ordering and email the team with those measurements to have a better chance of it fitting you - as you will have to pay all postage even if they send you a faulty garment as in my case. However if you have smaller cup size I don't think you will face similar problem and the bras look good.
I am hopeful the company will review its pattern blocks and future customers won't face similar issues.

I was sceptical to spend this much money on a bra. Having tried to many sports bras that are good for a bigger chest and suitable for running. When i first put it on I was just thinking okay, I will feel the weight and bounce in my shoulders. Went for a run. This bra is incredible. I used to pull my back from the bounce of my 12F chest but have had ZERO back issues and have gone on runs in this bra over 8 time now. I do not know what magic is in this bras but it is 100% work it. I don't feel like my chest is being squashed, it is somehow just so supportive in the right places.

I used the sizing chart and the fit was great. Can feel a little tight after a wash but nothing insane.

This positions itself as a great sports bra, but it falls well short of expectations for larger cup sizes. I have been professionally fitted several times and know my general size - although the advice was that the cup sizes come up smaller on this style, they were well short of expectations.
The style is more monoboob than compression, although it is also not clearly marketed as a compression style, so also misleading.
Would’ve loved to support a smaller brand - very disappointing. Just to note - I went for their virtual fitting on the first try - very poor advice. I did follow it by going down a cup size and almost cut off my circulation!

I ordered a bra on a recommendation and the size was wrong. I exchanged, and the process timing was really unclear. I emailed them and they came back, apologetic, and said there was a new system and gave me an ETA, so at this point I was really happy with them, because they emphasised they were a small company (I try to buy small or local whenever I can).

The new/exchanged bra arrived and it fit perfectly, comfortable, like a glove honestly. Perfect fit, fantastic support, I was in love with it, and I wanted to be sure, given how expensive these bras are, that I loved it, because you can’t get a refund once you’ve used it, and if it wasn’t perfect I was going to return it because it’s not a cost I can justify throwing away.

So then I went for a run. Felt great, wasn’t even a particularly long run, moderate weather, felt good, and then I got home and felt stinging on my shoulders - I told my husband I thought I’d experienced some chafing (not unusual on a run to chafe), and he said “no you need to look, you’re cut” because I couldn’t see looking, but when I looked in the mirror I saw cuts on my shoulders on each side of each strap.

The cuts healing meant I couldn’t run for a week, because any bra would rub and I’m a 32J - these can’t go on a run without a bra - but clearly these, despite being more material, are not designed for what happens when heavy breasts pull on material. I’ve never experienced literal slicing from a bra before or since, so the material they use for the straps is clearly not appropriate.

I was aware that I couldn’t return at this point, so I had to bin it (I wasn’t going to give something so dangerous to someone else), and when warning someone away from them on socials, they told me to get in touch.

When I did get in touch they told me to book a fitting. I reiterated that the fit wasn’t the issue and I was giving them feedback about the straps material being inappropriate for the sizing, and they should consider the weight of the breasts the straps are supporting, they responded (about a week later, apologising for the delay) again repeating that their fittings are free.

I told them not to contact me again unless they actually had a response for the issue I’d raised. But I really want to warn people with bigger boobs that this company really doesn’t care, and it cost me almost £75 for the privilege to find that out.

Over this year, I’ve ordered two solidarity bras from Maaree and honestly, they’re the best sports bra around. Super comfy, great support, quality material and by far my top workout bra choice! Love supporting genuine independent brands who clearly care for their product… Don’t think you can go wrong!

Some reviews are regarding bra size… I’ve always just used my normal bra size and fits perfectly as expected. I haven’t used the online service myself but have recommended this brand to lots of family and friends and think it’s a great option if you’re unsure or in between sizes.

Pre-ordered on 25/9/24 based upon the website stating that delivery would be during the first week of October - it is now 15th October and not only has my order not been despatched they aren't reply to my emails.

Very disappointing.

The two emails were sent after the reply you refer to Emma. No apology has been forthcoming and still no idea of when we might expect delivery....

In frustration

The bra I bought only lasted a year before the fastenings fell off at the back. I would have expected better for the price.

I am always on the lookout for a good, sturdy workout bra. As I am a full-figured woman (F cup), I need a bra that is easy to hook and one that does not make my breasts look like a uniboob. Alot of the cute bras on the market do not cater to women like me. But Maaree offered selections in bright colors, and with or without wire. The racerback option fits well and the support from the wire is a plus. I'm pleased with my purchase. My only concern is that a bought a size up and there was no need to. I intend to buy the Saffron yellow in my correct size. It'll be for those days when I don't feel to roll out of bed at 6am for my weight trainings.

I bought a Solidarity Bra from them that fitted perfectly but gave a rub on the back from the fastening. I let them know if the issue and they told me that because I hadn't had a virtual fitting that they couldn't do much about it. Really terrible customer service as recent reviews on their website had reported the same issue even when they'd attended a virtual fitting.

Went to the pop up shop in John Lewis Cardiff for a fitting and to buy a solidarity sports bra. Mari was amazing and put me at ease during the fitting. By far the best sports bra I’ve ever owned, I use it for running and have no movement, and no chafe whatsoever. Recommend 100% to anyone who will listen. Defo worth the money, don’t go wasting your money on cheaper bras which won’t do the job.
