Worry No More Insurance
I was trying to get insurance for my furniture through Macy's, and it was quite an experience. After two tries, I finally connected to a live person at the insurance company. I gave her my details, and she put me on hold for a long time. I heard some rings like I was being transferred, and then suddenly, I could hear kids in the background and even someone asking if someone wanted to see the master bedroom—just chaos. I was yelling 'hello,' but no one answered.
So, I called Macy's back while still having them on speaker so they could hear the craziness. The funny thing is, the Macy's rep said the same thing happened to him when he called for a customer—he even heard chickens in the background! I'm not sure I want to add this insurance for my furniture. The insurance name is 'Worry No More'—ironic, right?
Where's my free gift Macy's Clinique?!
Ordered Clinique because they were offering their free gift. I order things online all the time but I always end up calling Macy's because their website always has issues. I received the cream but not the free gift. I spent probably 2 hours the 3 times I called trying to get my free gift and I still don't know if I'll get it or not. The first time I called they tried to process a return. Return for what?! Then when I got the email stating that I had a "return" I called right away and they said they couldn't send the free gift because I asked for a return which I did not! I didn't get my free gift - that's it! It isn't rocket science! The people speak horrible english sorry to say.

My wife and I spend thousands a year in macys in person. We decided to place an online order. BAD idea! We didn't receive one order for over a month, when it showed it was missing a $100 sweatshirt. We are still waiting to this day for our credit on that. It's been 2 months!!
The next order we placed 10 days later, we are still waiting for. We are literally calling them daily to give us information or a tracking number. We are going on almost a month now with no information. These are not cheap items. All ralph lauren.
I believe it's times for gold star members and card holders to start a class action lawsuit. This is literally stealing from people. If we don't hear from them by this Monday we are contacting a lawyer about this going forward.

I ordered a tuxedo for a wedding. I paid extra for premium shipping in order to get it in 2-days. They did not send a shipping label until 2 days after the order was placed and it's not scheduled to be delivered until 1 day before the wedding!!! The tux is in stock and wasn't processed until 2 days after the order and is being sent standard shipping. Customer service was totally indifferent. Macy's IS NOT the store it once was. Never again will I buy from them!
Macy's Is Riddle With Poor Ethics and Deceit
There is a great reason why Macy's business is tanking and stores are closing everywhere, ethics. This company operates in a very deceitful manner. For example, they do not mark an item is not returnable until after you place the order and once the confirmation email is sent, only will it state that.
What is the purpose in alerting the customer that the items purchased are not returnable after the order is placed? Why can't they be like other retailers and are transparent about this from the start? Buyers be aware.
Unreliable Pricing
Spent some time in the Last Act section, found something I liked, tried it on. As I was paying, I was informed that the price on the tag was wrong and it was actually higher. Seems shopping at Macys can be a total waste of time and a scam, from that experience.
The staff are dishonest
The staff are dishonest, gave me false information when I registered for the credit card, they told me that I would get 20% for the total amount of purchase I did, but I was horrified to see that i got a discount only for part of the purchase. When I called the customer care they told me Sorry mam, the staff gave you wrong information. This is unacceptable, for Macy to lie to its customers to spend more. Will never use the card or enter Macy anymore.
My friend bought me a birthday present
My friend bought me a birthday present, there was a pree Sale so they couldn't give me my necklace at that moment and had to shape it for me, after a few days I got a message that the package was lost after a few more days I got an empty box. Its been already a month and I didn't get a refund or my necklace.

Macy's.com is using Door Dash Dashlink as a shipping carrier. problem is per Doordash the tracking number from Macy's to customer does not exist. Why? per Doordash they do not have a link to track packages, so unless Macy's customers keep calling Macy's there is no other means to get updated info. very inconvenience & shady. if package lost or stolen the customer still has to pay for merchandise in full while Macy's ATTEMPTS to file claim with Door Dash. no timeline on how long this process takes. Macy's DOES NOT give credit to customer's card nor offer refunds. I will not be placing any further on-line orders from Macy's, they have lost my business.

I was waiting in line with several other ladies to pay for my purchase. There were already four cashiers but the line was moving somewhat slowly. I saw another Sales Associate, Inmelda, come out on the floor pushing a cart to hang more clothing. She saw the amount of customers in line, put her cart to the side, and came imnediately to the counter to ring me up . She was very friendly, ensuring I received the qualifying discounts for the final sales prices. I was most impressed with her welcoming smile and willingness to provide excellent customer service ! Terrible!
I used to love Macy’s but something is not right with them anymore! Terrible experience! I ordered around $1500 value of items and they all came destroyed! Also they did send one of my item and even though I called them FOUR TIMES for redund they never sent me a refund for that item. Will never ever shop from macy’s again.
Horrible customer service
Horrible customer service. They are completely lost - incompetence at its highest point! I called for an unauthorized charge and was on the phone for 2 hours and still no resolution. Macys should be sold to another company... this management has to go. They hire the worst of the worst. Sickening!
They take your money and laugh
I ordered several things from Macy NOT to be confused with Macy's. These are 2 different stores and Macy is riding on the back of Macy's to gain some credibility. I received numerous emails stating they'd resend the items and later refund my money for items I never received. When I realized it was a scam I contacted Visa but there was no refund from them because I "had waited too long." I continued to contact Macy only to get messages about them being "a legitimate"company "concerned with customer service and satisfaction". After several months they stopped answering my emails. I continued to contact them until August 2024.There never was any attempt at a refund. I imagine there is a person(s) getting very rich through a fake company. NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH MACY.
Miserable selection in stores and abusive return policy
Have you noticed that you can leave a review for virtually any local business on Google but not for Macy's? Somehow they are too big to be reviewed by their customers? So much for fairness and reliability of the Google online review system!
Unfortunately, Macy's is a perfect example of what happens when one large player controls the market. When there were Lord & Taylor and other nice department stores to choose from, each was striving to be the best. I remember walking into a Macy's store and being immediately surrounded by several store associates asking how they could help. Not anymore! Now you have to wonder around the store to find someone to assist you. Product selection is also not what it used to be, especially for higher end items. Sure, Macy's still carries a lot of cheaper items, similar in quality to what is sold in Walmart or Target, but at a higher price.
Yet, if you are looking for something a bit fancier, you have to shop online, where the selection is considerably better than in stores. Shopping online, while convenient, has one major disadvantage: you cannot try things on, cannot tell how they feel and look on you until you receive them. And this is where Macy's really takes advantage of their customers. While most retailers have a typical 90-day return policy, Macy's has recently reduced their return window to just 30 days. And we are not talking about seasonal items that would become worthless after 30 days - no, regular high end shoes and clothes, with all tags and packaging, are not accepted beyond 30 days after the purchase. If you miss this deadline, your only option is to return these items without a receipt by accepting the lowest sale price offered on them in the last 6 months. My wife and I learned this the hard way, being forced to return several expensive items that she bought online about 40 days ago at 30-50% below the price she paid. I think it goes without saying - we will not be shopping at Macy's any time soon!
Macy's return policies are killing their business
I used to buy a lot from Macy's in the past. I was a diamond customer but the company policy has worsened.
I placed 3 orders 30 minutes ago not noticing that one item was last sale and can not be returned. I called the company immediately and they refused to remove it. The new policy allows you only 30 minutes to change, cancel, or remove items from the order. This policy is to force customers to keep items that can not be returned, This is against the Florida statutes that give you 24 hours.
They are losing more customers and closing more stores if they do not correct their return policies and the reps can not speak English to be understood. They deserve 0 stars

Macy's sales people are rude.I returned a purchase I buy online. I took it back to Citrus Park Mall. The sales person from another country acted like I had stolen my purchase. I had my paperwork and email. I will not go back to Macy's at Citrus Park. Sales people do not know the products in cosmetics either. Go to Dillards!!
They do not send you what you ordered, and make you responsible for returning it
On August 20, 2024 I placed an order for a blue pair of Levi's® Women's Classic Mid Rise Straight-Leg Jeans and a black pair of Levi's® Women's Classic Mid Rise Straight-Leg Jeans. Instead of sending me what I ordered, they sent me the blue jeans and a denim trucker jacket instead of the black jeans.
On August 25, 2024, I called customer service. I was told they would send me the black pair of jeans, and I would not have to return the jacket I didn’t order. On August 27, 2024 I received yet another stupid denim trucker jacket. Again. I did not order it. NO BLACK JEANS.
On August 28, 2024, I called customer service a third time. They wanted to send out yet another pair of “black jeans” (aka trucker jacket). I refused it as I did not want a THIRD jacket. So I asked for a refund. Unfortunately, I was told that *I* would have to return the two trucker jackets that I did not order. So between the original order, unpacking jackets I did not order, lots of time talking to customer service, and packing this crap, I have already wasted two hours of my time. Now they want me to waste even more time.
What did I learn by this experience? 1) Macy's hires the worse of the worst. People who are obviously are not "clear minded on the job". This applies to both the warehouse and customer service. 2) Because Macy's hires a LOW quality workforce, expect to, as a customer, have to spend your time cleaning up their mess. Want to see a movie with the kids? Nope, sorry, expect to spend at least two hours calling their customer service, running to the post office with returns, opening packages of stuff you never ordered. I will never buy from them again. Once is a mistake, twice incompetence, and the least they could have done was have UPS pick up the jackets THEY sent me in error instead of forcing me, the customer, to be further inconvenienced. Luckily JCP and Kohl's are great alternatives.
