My experience of Maddox Gallery when it came to selling my artwork has been truly awful

I have made a huge loss on the artwork that they recommended I purchase. And when it came to selling the artwork they completely failed to do so.

More than three years passed and my requests for updates were ignored

Their conduct caused me to investigate the company and what I found shocked me

When I purchased the gallery promoted themselves as an investment service, providing customers with investment advice that was tailored to them to source them artwork from the wider art market. But this is not true.

As a novice investor all i was to the gallery was a source of money by which to sell their “consigned” artists work, on which they get a substantial fee. 50% is standard amongst galleries.

So, they basically sell their own ‘stock’ by pretending to go out and source artwork to build customers a bespoke portfolio.

When I wrote to the gallery in February and March about my findings and their many failures they failed to respond and despite holding my work they have not responded to almost two dozen emails over the last four months.

In fact, the last response I received was the 18th of March 2024.
