Mapbox: pessima scelta di VOGE

Ho dovuto scaricare Mapbox come indicazione per poter usare il navigatore installato su scooter Voge nuovo. Un delirio. Complicatissimo. Tutto in inglese o cinese e non sempre la traduzione risulta comprensibile, piena di termini tecnici che non capisco. HO DOVUTO INSERIRE I DATI DI UNA CARTA DI CREDITO altrimenti non avrei proseguito nella registrazione. Il servizio "sarebbe" gratuito, fino a che non acquisto qualche servizio a pagamento. Ma che maniera è??? Comunque dopo molte prove e con aiuto di persone più esperte, non è stato possibile collegare il sistema allo scooter. E ora, essendo impossibile concludere la procedura e quindi fruire dei servizi previsti, non si riesce a cancellare la posizione e soprattutto i dati relativi alla carta di credito. Pessimo servizio e pessima scelta di Voge di appoggiarsi a questa piattaforma.

Hello, thank you for reporting this issue. This is a problem with the Voge Global scooter application and is the responsibility of Voge. You do not need a Mapbox account in order to use a third party consumer application like Voge and it is inappropriate that they are requesting that you create one. Please report your issue to Voge to request support.

Where to begin

Where to begin. We embarked 2 years ago to develop using Mapbox. I could write a novel. They have absolutely zero customer service at all. Like you cannot get in touch with anyone. They steer you to their discord which is mostly for devops and regardless, we never had a single question answered on discord. Their naps are incredibly out of date. Changes in Open street map (which Mapbox gets their data from) almost never updated in Mapbox. We were attracted to some of the API's Mapbox offers out of the box but if you get zero answers about their products why would you take the leap to invest all that dev time with the added risk of knowing this company is an apparition. They seem quite focused on auto manufacturer implementation and that's great, but their mobile and web sdk's API's I have no idea what they are doing or why they bother if they're not going to engage with the customer. I've never...in 20 years of software dev ever had a company actively ignore like this. A an industry partner of ours stated they got the paid support plan and received one canned answer, and then received zero responses when submitting tickets on their PAID plan which they cancelled. This is why we didn't bother to go the paid route. It really is a shame because some of their API's are quite creative. It seems like unless you're an established Fortune 500 company they literally could care less about you. I highly doubt they ignore instacart. You would basically have to go all in on dev and hope once you get traffic that makes them money they would pay attention. Either way, we switched to another solution and we're happy. It has added dev time for us since we aren't using their API's but in the end much better to own your code anyhow. I must have tried 5 different ways over the course of 6months to get in contact with someone at this company without exaggeration. I'd steer clear at all costs if possible. They have a lot of work to do. Frankly, Its a choice to be this unresponsive and they prob have decided they don't have the resources to dedicate to every fly by night programmer making a map for their college print, but we are not that. We are a well established revenue generating company..

I'm very distrustful of a company who advertises FREE products, yet asks for your credit card details, "Just in case you should go over your FREE allowance."
Very, very, poor marketing. As this shows a lack of trust towards customer in the first instance. Whoever runs the marketing department of this company should be dismissed.

Avoid Mapbox: Unfair Charges and Blackmail.

Do not use Mapbox. They impose unfair charges and then blackmail you by suspending your account without providing any support or resolution.

I submitted a ticket to Mapbox four weeks ago regarding a payment issue, and despite my efforts, I have not received any response. Instead, my account was suspended unfairly.

My website is still in the production phase and receives no more than 60 clicks per day. I asked for clarification and requested an investigation into the issue, but my requests were ignored. Instead, they suspended my account without any explanation, which feels like a form of blackmail.

This experience has been incredibly frustrating and disruptive to my project. Avoid Mapbox if you want to prevent similar issues.

After contacting you for details about your experience, we understand that you did receive automated alert emails about your unpaid invoice and deactivation warnings. You also received a reply to your 'Contact Sales' request, and that reply provided instructions for how to submit your inquiry via an Accounts & Billing support ticket. However, you did not submit an Accounts & Billing support ticket and therefore our team was not alerted to investigate the charges and provide support before your account was deactivated.

100% scam! Not recommended.

They are 100% scam! Using hidden settings they generate 8 times more views than the real once in order to make you pay. They are cheating. Do not deal with them!

We were in touch with Leila and you refunded 50% of the last invoice that only proves what I wrote. But not the whole amount as I demanded. She just stopped replying my mails.

As explained in our API documentation and pricing guidance, not all Mapbox products are priced based on the number of visitors or 'views', rather it is based on the number of API requests. As explained by our Support team, your implementation of the Geocoding API resulted in multiple API requests per visitor and there are modifications you can make to your implementation to reduce the API calls per user.

As such, your charges were not erroneous or due to any product-originated issue. In such a case, a partial invoice refund may be approved in cases where a developer implementation decision or error resulted in unexpected usage.

Mapbox doesn't correct errors

Mapbox have incorrectly labeled my house as a business further down the road. I've sent a correction 3 times but each time they have not made the change. If you look up that business you will still end up at my house instead. See you soon!
As per your request mapbox I have submitted the request for a 4th time. Yes I was using the correct contribution page. Check Google maps for the correct map location.

Thank you Jason, apologies for the frustration here. I believe I have located your requested change and confirmed that our data team has removed this business label. The change should now populate across all maps powered by Mapbox. If you search for the business on another live map you can see it is removed (no longer shows up in search results, and no longer displays on the map), e.g.: https://docs.mapbox.com/mapbox-gl-js/example/mapbox-gl-geocoder/

The one exception is that you may notice that on mapbox.com/contribute it looks unchanged for longer. This is because of a longer delay in how that particular map is updated.
