I had a lovely time with Matt and the other visitors on our food and wine tour. Matt created a wonderful event for us with lots of delicacies and special treats. His stories were interesting and engaging as well. What a fantastic way to experience Paris!

We spent two days in April 2025 with Mathieu and experienced Paris in ways that we could never have done on our own. He also introduced us to exquisite pastries, cheeses, wine, and even cognac. His knowledge and good humor made our most recent visit to Paris unforgettable. We recommend Mathieu to all!

Through Mathieu, we were able to explore and experience parts of Paris that we would have never discovered on our own. He also shared with us his extensive knowledge of French wine, cognac and cheese to our great enjoyment. His tours are a great joy, well worth the cost.

Mathew was a great guide, humorous, knowledgeable, a real Paris plus for us visitors. The food was incredible. We had much more than we could eat and I’m a big eater. And there was wine!!!

This tour with Mat was the highlight of our trip to Paris! He took a place as rich in history and culture as the Marais and gave us a perfect intro to the food and hidden corners that make it so special. The stops for pastries and chocolates were delicious. His enthusiasm for sharing the history along our way really painted the picture of the times that have shaped the area. Our wine tasting at Arthus + Jean accompanied by the cheeses and charcuterie we had picked up made us feel like local friends, not merely visitors! Cannot recommend him and his tours more highly!!

Mat was amazing! My husband and I booked to fill in an afternoon on a Wednesday. I'm a history nerd, he loves architecture so Mat's Napoleon tour made a great combo.

When traveling we look for a couple of things: Good food, great people and lots of steps. This tour had all three. You can't beat Mat's personality for those of us learning our way through our first trip in Paris. The weather was beautiful and we got lots of steps and well, Paris does not fail with her wine and cheese choices! We learned a ton; we laughed a lot and feel like we made friends in the process.

I want to go back just to choose a different tour with Mat next time!

Mathieu’s Napoléon Tour in the Marais was a deeply special experience for me. I rediscovered a whole part of our history through historic buildings in the very city where I was born, yet had never truly noticed before. On top of that, the tastings of chocolate, beautifully matured cheeses from Parisian cheesemongers and the discovery of new wines created a real sense of joy and comfort. I walked away feeling both proud of my city and genuinely moved.
