My order was returned to the company because it was stopped by Spanish customs. OK, no problem, you will issue a refund then? No, apparently not.
"in accordance with our shipping policy, we are unable to issue a refund for orders affected by local import regulations and customs interventions."
Any company which truly cares about its customers should offer a swift refund if the goods are returned for any reason. These guys obviously don't care that much.

I would of given no stars if I could
I placed a order of 2 bottles of perfume on the 10/4/26
The total of oder was 97 pounds
With a additional 39.95 pounds in shipping
I received a email on 13/4/26 that due to the perfume being classed as dangerous goods customs had added additional charges .I would now have pay a additional 97 pounds for it to clear customs
I had the option to cancel
I did cancel and I received a email informing the cost of the perfume was going to be refunded .
Not the 39.95 pound shipping cost or at least no mention of it
Have since read reviews that this seems to be a common practice
That its not un common for a second invoice to be sent requesting you pay for shipping of the order back to them
Absolutely appalling
Do not purchase from company especially if you requiring international shipping
So disappointed and disgusted that a company would request in total over $240 Australian to ship 2 bottles of perfume
Then hold my orginal $79.00 paid shipping cost for a product i will never received
Just wrong on so many levels

They cancelled my order and didn't get my refund, not answering my emails

⚠️ Warning about McGrocer – My Experience ⚠️

I want to share my personal experience with McGrocer to warn others.

After placing my order, I was unexpectedly faced with additional costs such as import duties, taxes, and extra fees that were not clearly communicated during checkout. On top of that, there were delivery issues due to allegedly incorrect address details, even though I entered my information correctly.

Customer service simply refers to their terms and conditions and takes no real responsibility. Instead of offering a customer-friendly solution, the pressure is put entirely on the customer to pay these extra charges — otherwise risking losing the order or only receiving a partial refund.

In my opinion, this process is neither transparent nor customer-oriented.

Think carefully before ordering and make sure you fully understand all potential extra costs and risks.

Achtung vor McGrocer – meine Erfahrung ⚠️

Ich möchte hier meine persönliche Erfahrung mit McGrocer teilen, damit andere gewarnt sind.

Nach meiner Bestellung wurde ich im Nachhinein mit zusätzlichen Kosten wie Zollgebühren, Steuern und weiteren Gebühren konfrontiert, die im Bestellprozess für mich nicht klar ersichtlich waren. Außerdem gab es Probleme mit der Lieferung aufgrund angeblich falscher Adressangaben, obwohl ich meine Daten korrekt eingegeben habe.

Der Kundenservice verweist lediglich auf ihre AGB und übernimmt keinerlei Verantwortung. Statt einer kundenfreundlichen Lösung wird der Druck auf den Kunden erhöht, die zusätzlichen Kosten zu zahlen – andernfalls droht der Verlust der Bestellung oder nur eine teilweise Rückerstattung.

Für mich wirkt dieses Vorgehen weder transparent noch kundenorientiert.

❗ Mein persönlicher Rat:
Bitte überlegt euch gut, ob ihr hier bestellt. Informiert euch vorher genau über mögliche Zusatzkosten und Risiken.

Can't even take items off or add items to the list
Terrible!

Worst online experience I've ever had. No customer service at all, McGrocer does not respond to emails after payment has been made. I found an item had expired and they have refused to acknowledge my emails. I ordered internationally and the day before the items arrived (after weeks of no updates), they sent an email indicating 5 items would not be included in my order. Shipping is overcharged then UPS charges additional shipping. The positive reviews they have are likely from employees and friends. I order a lot internationally, please do not consider McGrocer.

Not happy at all... Although I received all items ordered, I also received a bill for 61 € for customs taxes. I live in France and anything from Britain get an allowance for 150 € worth.... So having ordered for like 114,96 € how did I end paying tax for p&p (54.70 €)... Is there collusion between UPS and McGrocer ?
Although they were quick to point out that while paying for a certain amount of p&p, "I could had items there was still room", I asked but they did not reply to how much room was left... I paid because there were items I wanted for Xmas...
Oh by the way I ordered three 72 gr Yorkie chocolate bars... I received two of 72gr and one of 49gr... all priced like 72 gr bars...

McGregor delivered all my items in a timely manner (to California) and packaged my products very nicely! I will definitely order from McGregor again!

They were very helpful and kept me informed throughout the process.
