FANTASTIC PRODUCTS
The keyboards are in perfect condition, and the switches are music to my ears! My setup is beautiful now (Sea Melody keyboard and desk mat), and everything was easy to set up and use.
I purchased a Varmilo Sea Melody Keyboard with LED backlighting (MA108M, Varmilo Daisy switches), an XL Varmilo Sea Melody desk mat, a Varmilo Beijing Opera Keyboard (VA108M, originally MX Blue switches, then switched to MX Brown), and a Leopold FC750R PD Keyboard (MX Silent Red switches).
EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE AND COMMUNICATION
Amanda D was extremely helpful when my order ran into stocking issues. They communicated efficiently, and explained politely the reasons why my order was delayed. Emails were replied to within 24 hours, and were not dismissive, rather, were explanatory and expressed empathy. Amanda D's patience and professionalism deserves a raise or a promotion! EFFICIENT SHIPPING
It took less than three days for my parcel to arrived at my home in Australia from the US. Very securely packaged, and boxes (and products) were in perfect condition upon arrival.
VERY POOR PRE-ORDER SYSTEM
I highly suggest ONLY purchasing products that are labelled as "IN STOCK". Pre-order estimate dates will keep shifting to later and later dates, so you could be waiting indefinitely (I waited two months, and then I switched out a product). Unless you don't mind waiting an abysmal amount of time for your product, I suggest not purchasing any items labelled "PRE-ORDER ONLY".
UNFAIR SYSTEM RELATING TO MULTIPLE ITEMS IN ONE ORDER
I purchased four items in my order, one of which was a pre-order item. I then found out that while waiting for that pre-order item, the company will sell the other products in your order to other customers, even though you paid full price for it first. This means that if another one of your items goes out of stock, you'll have to wait for that too. You have to wait for ALL your items to simultaneously be in stock for your order to be shipped out, which is ridiculous considering they do not hold in-stock items for you. Under this system, you could be waiting indefinitely - unless you split your order. I could not do this as I live in Australia, so my shipping cost would have skyrocketed. I ended up changing the switches of my pre-order item to a switch choice that was in-stock. My order shipped out the next business day.
SHIFTY RETURN POLICY/TERMS AND CONDITIONS
This information should be included in the checkout page, rather than the FAQs! This would allow customers to have a fair opportunity of reading the policies themselves.
OVERALL RATING
Since I'm purchasing the product, rather than the company policy, my overall rating is 4/5 stars. I definitely would purchase again, but only products that are in stock - I've learnt my lesson. The high rating is mainly because of Amanda's consistent professional communication with me, which made me feel respected as a customer, unlike the company policy. Additionally, the rating is also due to the high quality of the products themselves.

It's without question that their Return Policy is unfavorable. Unfortunately, MechanicalKeyboards.com is the only approved online retailer (drop shipper) for some keyboard brands like Varmilo.
Since they are a middle-man small business, it's understandable that they would charge absurd fees for returns, raise prices to account for overseas/ shipping/customs, and implement profit generating business practices. That's just how businesses work.
I'd like to believe they charge customers high fees to pay their employees a fair, living wage.
To prevent unnecessary returns: research the product thoroughly, watch multiple reviews from keyboard enthusiasts who know what they're talking about, and make a decision on whether you really want the keyboard or not. Returns for THESE 'changed-my-mind' or 'not-what-I-thought-it-was' reasons are what warrants a restock fee.
However, I'd hope MechanicalKeyboards offer free exchanges in the event an item arrives damaged. (On this note: always record yourself opening packages. It can be used to prove that the items arrived in the condition it did).
This site comes recommended because they are good at what they do. I got my keyboard with no issues whatsoever. Shipping takes a little while. Item is always as described.

Ordered a Ducky One SF keyboard from mechanicalkeyboards.com because
1) Ducky keyboards are hard to find in stock at UK retailers
2) it's unlikely you will find the exact configuration you want (eg, silent red MX switches)
3) I specifically wanted the US layout
4) the price was comparable even after adding taxes and international shipping
I ordered it on the 20th and it arrived on the 22nd from US to UK! Arrived in perfect condition, very happy with the product.
Would recommend.

I unfortunately split a liquid all over my old keyboard. Ordered a new keyboard off mechanicalkeyboards, chose the express service and they had a new keyboard to me inside of 2 days coming all the way from America.

I pre-ordered a keyboard in late January, and the estimate was for March. Every time the estimated date approaches, they just shift the date by about 20 days. I understand that an estimate is not always accurate, but a consistent pattern of false promises of a relatively close date, which is then shifted when that date comes, is almost certainly deliberate action to placate customers, with no intention whatsoever to be accurate. Since March, they have moved the preorder date more than 8 times, each time about 25 days for 4 months.
I emailed them at the start of May, to which they responded "Our best current ETA is Late May. Your order is still on schedule to be filled as soon as we receive the shipment". It is now June, and what do you know, the estimate has been shifted to June 25!
They will claim that the burden is on the suppliers, that they have no control over it. Something like this "Unfortunately, pre-order dates are not something we can control, since it is dependant on stock from the manufacturer." But this is a pattern of consistent behaviour, outlined in comments dating back many years. These aren't handmade pieces of art, they are mass produced products from a factory. This is no accident, this is criminal behaviour.

I have seen many reviews like my own explaining how customers have ordered their keyboards as a pre-order and MechanicalKeyboards not actually having any of their products for over half a year. In my case it has been 4 months with no new updates. I have tried contacting them by asking when my shipment would arrive, but they have just replied with the same generic answer about how pre-orders are not up to them. You can even check other reviews down below and they only give the same generic answers.
I understand that pre-orders may not be in their controls (as they claim), however I do not think it is very professional for a company like them to sell their merchandise as "pre-orders" when they themselves know nothing about the possible arrival dates. Why make pre-orders when your products couldn't even arrive in half a year? Things like that just seemed very silly to me.

I ordered some keycaps and the product did not exactly match the photo on the product listing.
I would've given a 3-star rating for the product, but the service made me reconsider the entire shopping experience. Customer Service is 5-stars, so I'll settle on an average total of 4-stars.
I reached out to support and they cleared up some confusion about terminology.
Isaac is knowledgeable, while also being attentive to small details. We were able to quickly and reasonably negotiate a satisfactory resolution.
I trust mechanicalkeyboards.com and I would gladly shop with them again.

I have been asked to revised my review, removing the manager name which I did. Seems to be a very small knit operation and customer service department. Anyway, they replied to my review below simply stating their policy.
After having received our request, it would have been proper business practice to have offered something back for a future purchase at least. That wasn't offered or extended either. Once again, simply disappointed with their responses, feedback and business saavy. Our 11 year old son chose a particular keyboard. We decided to purchase it based on his and his friends recommendations. We received the item and all was fine until we noticed him using it to find the keyboard was WAY TO SMALL. I admit 30 days had passed until we realized the keyboard would eventually cause his hands/fingers harm and when I reached out to customer service asking for an exception they said I was 35 days out of the return window. I did explain that I wasn't looking for a refund, instead looking to return that to have the amount applied towards a new NORMAL sized keyboard. The Customer Service Manager simply refused referring back to their rules.
In a world of unexpected craziness, combined with a the choice of an 11 year old, I would have been gracious of them to have made an exception. When I asked to plead to a superivisor, he said there was no one else to speak with. Be careful what you choose, by the time yoiu get around to realizing it's not the right component, you're stuck with it and this company does not seem to have or extend any type of understanding, cooperation or customer service oriented humility. Not even an offer of a discount towards a future pourchase. Bad business practice.....if they were doctors, HORRIBLE bedside manner. Buyer Beware!

I've had a handful of experiences with MechanicalKeyboards.com and each one has been great. The prices are reasonable, the stock is vast, the shipping is quick and I've never had a damaged packaged; I don't know what else I can say, they're a benchmark of a business.

I ordered a keyboard in early-mid December that was a pre-order that was supposed to be in around December 20th. On their Twitter they tweeted they were in around February 15th which is still okay I get these pre-orders can change especially with everything going on the issue is after they posted again on their Twitter that it took them almost a month to ship them out (not even to the point yet) I waited almost 2 weeks and no tracking number I called and they said that mine will be on the next batch in March around the 15-18th (even though when i ordered it, it was the December batch). How is it that bad, literally I would NEVER have bought this if I knew it be 6 months (if not longer at this point) for me to get it, and I just checked their site it's saying a "low Chance will be in by April. HORRIBLE COMPANY THAT LIES AND YOU WILL BE LUCKY TO EVER GET YOUR KEYBOARD.

I've purchased a number of keyboards from these guys and have generally had a great experience, but with my last purchase FedEx had an issue in their routing and ended up sending it back to them without it even being out for delivery. In response, Mechanical Keyboards wants me to pay for shipping again even though I had absolutely nothing to do with this. I can't believe this counts for customer service in 2021. Will not be buying from or recommending them ever again.

Super good customer service. The staff answeared my questions concerning pre-ordered items and additional purchases very fast via email. I ordered my keyboard in early November and it’s tentatively expected to arrive in March. Confidence: low. I was understanding for a month or two but this is ridiculous. Customer service in December pretty much just shrugged and said sorry. No discount offers, no explanation, nothing. Just sorry. Again, I understand with COVID but I paid 130 dollars and it’s been months and how it updates to show it’ll take another month every time I get close to the estimate date makes me think this is a scam and they’ll never actually have it in stock.

I ordered a keyboard last week and paid for 3 day shipping. They were quick to get it shipped out... however, the package has yet to arrive and the tracking no longer shows a delivery date.
I contacted support and they stated that 3 day shipments usually have problems and that I should not worry about it. I have purchased from this company before, but will avoid doing so in the future.
Update:
I was refunded the cost for 3 day shipping. I eventually received my keyboard. I was informed that USPS has an issue with delivering these packages and that this was completely normal.
This company continues to offer the 3 day shipping knowing that USPS will likely have a long delay and appear to lose package. Company needs to update their site to reflect this.
