Purchased a few years ago. Once installed, very easy to use and flexible to accomplish our tasks. Antenna pattern data/results very quick and paints a clear picture of what is going on. Great tool and time saver versus doing it by hand in a chamber.

I had come across the MegiQ products a while ago when searching for a serious yet affordable VNA and radiation pattern measurement system. From the very beginning, the correspondence with the firm was mutually understanding and easygoing and the equipment was acquired.
I use VNA model 0460e and it served me so well all this time. The software is made very intuitive and works reliably. It helped me a lot with my antenna characterization using a compact size device.

In addition, we initially bought MegiQ's radiation measurement system (RMS) 0640 and recently upgraded it to model 0460. I was very impressed with how the RMS apparatus was elegantly designed and how smoothly it worked being controlled by another intuitive software. Full 3D characterization of antenna can be done is a short time, ending with plenty of output results (directivity, efficiency, total radiated power, 3-dB and 10-dB beamwidth etc.). Additional appeal is that one can simultaneously measure multiple frequencies in just one measurement and also extract antenna's frequency dependence of gain.

With practical usage, one can find some details that might be advanced, but none of it is instrumental for typical measurements.
Overall, MegiQ products are really something to look for in the market segment of serious equipment with an affordable price tag.
Lastly, it is comforting to know that the relationship with MegiQ did not end after purchase of the equipment, but they are there to reply to any issues I raise over time and really care to resolve it, also being open to suggestions for new features.

Moving from a huge, old and expensive Agilent VNA to this "little" device was necessary, after the big one smoked out its last days.
A previous experience with a "personal" VNA was not satisfying me, so I was a bit worried about the possibility of having the same lack of performance and accuracy.
I'm glad I gave this little devil a try.
Using it is a breeze, and the UI is ok, apart from some minor problems in understanding how to manage exported files naming (this may be perfected by adding the preview of the exact name the file will receive). Good accessories kit and eval board.
Definitely a partner on my desktop, and it is absolutely worth the money.
I mainly use it to check antenna tuning and cross-coupling on IoT devices, in s11 and s21 modes.

As an RF expert (wireless ASIC and specialty antenna design) with 22+ years of hands-on experience with equipment from leading brands (Anritsu, Rohde & Schwarz, Aaronia), I am very impressed with Megiq's RMS0660, VNA0460E + kits (balanced meas, calibration). The hardware and software are very portable, fast, stable (I've never had a crash in 5 years and counting), intuitive and visually pleasant, almost 'fun to play with'. The measurement accuracy is truly astonishing : when I made an RMS measurement of the same DUT 6 months later, the 3D radiation plot matched perfectly, < 0.3dB (!!!) while I had completely broken down and rebuilt the measurement setup in between the two measurements, and I was using an ordinary office space, not a anechoic chamber. In a discipline where "one dB is no dB", that is really magical (or Megiq-al?). Whenever I have questions, I find Roger extremely responsive and helpful : I get quick and very detailed replies. The VNA and RMS system are invaluable for my daily work.

That having said, there are 2 points for improvement:
- the object platform that comes with the RMS is very fragile and its legs snap off easily, rendering it unusable. I think this screams for a redesign (a piece of plexiglass/PA6 with machine drilled or laser-cut holes, orthogonal legs from nylon with nylon screws); 3D printing seems unsuitable for this piece
- I personally find it difficult to interpret the 3D radiation plots : what corresponds to X/Y/Z of the DUT?

Megiq provide powerful RF tools for a low budget and therefore is a perfect place to start with no or little RF experience. Megiq tools are easy to use and understand but not limited to beginners, we use the VNA and RMS on a daily basis for professional hardware development.

The website offers very helpful white papers and the support is quick and professional, that's 5 stars.

Working with Megiq tools (VNA, RMS) on a daily basis can be frustrating some times and only get 3 stars:
- The software is not always intuitive and could be redesigned.
- Software and hardware are not always reliable and require reboots and re-installation from time to time.
- The software is quiet slow and rarely happend to crash

To summarize, I do recommend Megiq for RF engineers and I think they did a great job. However I hope that Megiq will improve the software, then it will be really 5 stars to me.

MegiQ has been very helpful in assisting UEI with the antenna pattern measurement system.
