Superb service, I received some limited edition sunglasses very quickly after release. I had an issue with the lens print. Customer service immediately responded and sent replacement pair within 2 days.

Ho acquistato questi occhiali modello kingpin da Mtb, veramente belli esteticamente e molto comodi da indossati, non si sentono neanche dopo diverse ore.
Dopo circa tre anni, mi si è rotto un gancetto di plastica che tiene il gommino per il naso, ho contattato l'assistenza per far presente questa cosa e prontamente mi hanno proposto di mandarmi una montatura completa (senza lenti) di mio gradimento a costo zero. Quindi direi un buonissimo post-vendita molto efficienti.
Per me consigliato!!

They never seem to have product stock! Over the last year, I have checked so many times for a few items but always sold out! Poor business practice not to be on top of this.

I have the Alleycat S, they have been superb with the photochromic lens absolute love them and would definitely recommend.

They fit with my helmet perfect and are really comfy.

Haven't used the snowboard goggles yet, but they seem high quality.

However, i initially accidentally MTB goggles, contacted the team at Melon and they explained everything and I organized the return.

Once the return had been received they sent me an email with a code that knocked off £78 (75 for goggles and 3 for shipping) and i ordered the correct goggles.

A bit annoying as I had to pay the shipping return cost and was a little difficult to initially understand the process, but in the end happy with the product, support and the fact they included the initial £3 shipping in my return

Ordered a pair of glasses from melon optics. no problem i thought... big 365 day return banner on website, no hassle returns... glasses came and didn't fit with any of my helmets. I'll just return them for a refund as per the site's instructions. Nope, these are a custom order and cannot be returned. Pretty much everything from them is a custom order and cannot be returned due to you speccing what lens you want. All replies to queries were generic bot style and no actual phone number or human interaction to see what the problem was. Quality of product was not up to the price tag and the fact they are non returnable from an online retailer is a joke
Was offered a 50% goodwill refund on 140 pound purchase in the end. All style and no substance to this company.

I've had my Alleycat glasses now for a few weeks and have used them on the road and MTB and they are very comfy and light. I have the photochromic lenses with the prescription clip-in and they work really well and the transition between light conditions is very fast.

My only slight niggle would be that the order process for providing your prescription could be slicker and allow you to add them as you place the order, and not via a separate link they send out to you. Still, you do get a good number of notifications on the progress of your order so that is a good point.

In short though, highly recommend them!

I will give them 5 stars. That said I will start with a negative. Guys, bring back the green chrome lens for the kingpins!! It’s the best lens you have! And I have 4 others!
I can not fault the guys tho. Had a small issue with my first pair of glasses. The guys jumped on it, were very quick to get back to me and sent me a new pair. Free of charge.
It almost felt like a personal service. That’s why I can’t give them less than 5 stars.
I think my Oakleys maybe slightly better in a few aspects. But my melons fit my face better and I always pick them up over my ok’s. My green chrome lens did seem to scratch easily. But I would buy another IF I COULD (nudge, nudge!) my okleys are far more scratches but it seems to affect the glasses less. So there’s that. But it’s really hard to say. One scratch is never the same as another.
In conclusion I wouldn’t worry about the bad reviews I see on here. Maybe that’s in the past. I would say I’m 100% positive about their response to any issues now. So thanks again guys. Bring back the green chrome lens tho!!! Haha.

Not impressed at all.
Product was of pretty poor quality and when it was returned requesting a full refund, we were slapped with a so called £10 restocking fee! New one on me. Will not be ordered from them again especially when we had paid postage to return the product.

Ordered some goggles for my partner as an Xmas present, they looked great on the website but when they arrived they didn't look as good, the frame was suuuuuper chunky, the lumpy brand logo sticking out top centre of them was just ugly, and it just wasn't a good fit (or look) so I enquired about returns, turns out they make you pay for your own returns under the guise of making people buy responsibly in the first instance... That's not possible for a product that you can't try on anywhere before you order. Anything that's purchased in good faith on the assumption that it will fit well should have a free returns option... Ok whatever I sucked it up and paid £10 to send it back to them only to find out they also charge a restocking fee on returns, what the hell? So it's cost me £20 to send back immaculate goggles to them that they can simply resell at profit.

2* cuz delivery was timely and well packaged, Zeiss lenses are great but the frame we ordered was quite cheap looking and ugly.

I placed an order on December 19th with the expectation, as indicated on their website, that it would be delivered before Christmas. However, it took 2-3 working days for them to respond to at least one of my inquiries via email, specifically regarding changing the information for the mailing address. Unfortunately, the product did not arrive on time (shipped on December 22nd), which was the primary concern I had raised with the customer service team multiple times via email without receiving any response. If I had known in advance that it wouldn't arrive as promised, I wouldn't have made the purchase. In this case, the customer service experience was very disappointing, and the statement of the delivery promise was misleading as well.

Had a slight warranty issue but was sorted with very polite and helpful staff providing a great solution to the problem. Would defo order again and shout out to Christian for being so helpful.

Love the sunglasses, something available for everyone from sizes to colours! The photochromic lens is perfect for both MTB and everyday activities in the UK

Purchased a pair of Kingpin glasses and the frame snapped after about 6 months which I was a bit disappointed with but these things happen, not everything is perfect. Contacted Melon Optics and they were brilliant immediately offering another set of frames under warranty and were even good enough to let me change the colour of the frames on the replacement. Was a really quick turnaround in terms of response and getting a new set ordered, my only reason for not putting 5 stars is I had no tracking information for about a week so I contacted them and within about 48 hrs the glasses arrived so the discontinuity between ordering and arriving wasn't great but other than that great service. Christian was excellent and always responded quickly.

Ordering inserts for your glasses is a very poor process. Not only does it take 3 times longer than promised, I wasn't sent a link to add my prescription until asked, I was not sent a confirmation email confirming my prescription (therefore if you make a typo, it's tough, you'll never know until they arrive), there is no validation to say your prescription was received and no tracking email is sent through despite the product being sent recorded. Very little sympathy or attempt to help when these things were pointed out. Good marketing, poor execution

Used them for several pairs of glasses and MTB Google's. Always helpful always quick to deliver.

Bought a few goggles and glasses was happy until I received a pair of LMTD edition Galaxy cats actually went to wear them today, the finish is awful and parts not even painted won’t buy anymore £60 for a very very poor product

Fantastic sun glasses time and time again. I have been using Melon sunglasses for the past 8 years whilst working a lot outdoors and in the sun. I absolutely love them. I tend to go with the classic layback style, polarised lense and love being able to customise the colours. They have jumped in price (I assume due to popularity) as they used to be £34.00. I did buy some other similar style brand glasses for myself and fella who also uses them (when their price jumped) but others scratched too easy, the polarised film wasn't quite as good when out near or on the water and just weren't as nice. So i'm back with Melons.

I should note the pairs I have bought over the years are still great and work well, I just like to get a pair that is fresh or different colours every so often. They also replaced a pair that were damaged in transit on one of my past orders immediately.

we have both yet to try their snow goggles but will be giving these a go for our upcoming polar expedition and if all goes well for Denali.

Ordered some Alleycats from Melon, they arrived in good time, and appear nice enough, but I had some queries about fit and whether they planned to make wider nose pieces available. The silicone on the nose piece also snapped while removing the nose piece. So far I have contacted them 3 times, twice by email (including replying to an email that specifically said to reply to if you had questions!) and once through their website, asking my question. Total and utter silence.

Seems like they have my money and are no longer interested in talking to me, but have the time to send out a marketing email every other day.

Bottom line: slick marketing, acceptable product, non adjustable fit, terrible customer service.
