We have attended the Merrion Fertility Clinic for the last number of years and our journey is now coming to an end following the birth of our daughter in 2024 and the expected arrival of our second baby later this year.

We will be sad to be saying goodbye, we feel extremely grateful to each and every person we have met along our journey over the last 4 years. The clinic has always felt like a safe space for me, from the moment you walk in the door you are greeted by Debbie who is just so kind and welcoming, she makes you feel at ease.

The past few months I have met several of the nurses while preparing for frozen embryo transfer who are always so helpful and kind. I will never forget each person and the part they have played on this journey.

Our journey wasn’t straight forward, I was diagnosed with endometriosis, had laparoscopy surgery to remove a cyst, cyst regrowth, unsuccessful round of IVF but thankfully on our second round we transferred and welcomed our daughter and stored a frozen embryo that we are now pregnant with. The clinic guided and supported us through every step, we always felt in safe hands and followed their guidance.

Dr Crosby is one of the kindest most caring people you will ever meet and we look forward to continuing our journey with him on this pregnancy.

The clinic will always hold a very special place in our lives, it's given us the family we always dreamt of and we couldn't adore our daughter anymore, she's brought so much joy to both our lives. We look forward to meeting our newest addition later this year.

Unfortunately, I chose this clinic as my first option in the HSE, and I absolutely regret it. The treatment here was impersonal and lacked clear communication and support. We never had a proper consultation with a doctor — only a brief online call to sign consent forms, during which the consultant said she only had 30 minutes and rushed through the process. I began medication and injections without fully understanding the protocol or why it had been chosen for me.

From the beginning, I felt unsure. I have friends my age with similar profiles who had success abroad using different protocols, and I couldn’t understand why a different approach wasn’t considered in my case. We were never told that our chances of success were low — we only learned this during the stimulation scans, when we were informed that no protocol would have changed the likely outcome. At that point, we were told to decide whether to continue or cancel.

That information should have been shared from the start. If we had been properly informed, we could have prepared ourselves and made more informed decisions. We were only offered a consultation after everything had already failed — too late to offer any meaningful support or guidance.

Throughout the process, I didn’t feel like an individual — just a number. The treatment felt managed, not cared for. I also understand that some clients come through the HSE and others as private patients, and perhaps there is a difference in approach. However, I found that difference unfair and difficult to accept.

I started IVF after a miscarriage, already in a vulnerable position. The doctors at this clinic told me I would never be likely to get more than five eggs. After this terrible experience, I started treatment abroad, and the difference in both care and results has been huge. At the new clinic, I retrieved 10 eggs, resulting in 5 embryos, of which 2 were PGT-normal. The approach was personalised, the communication was clear, and I finally felt supported throughout the process.

The only positive aspect at the original clinic was the nursing team. They were kind, informed, and supportive. But in the context of the overall experience, it wasn’t enough.

I’ve been left feeling hopeless, emotionally drained, and under significant stress and sadness. I am now moving forward with the hope of finding transparent communication, personalised care, and the support that was missing in my first experience.

We felt so looked after by the team here. There were so empathetic, caring, responsive and it was like someone was holding our hand all the way through this journey. We didn’t feel like another number, or statistic, we felt seen and heard from the moment we were under the care of the Merrion clinic. This is an emotional and testing time for a couple, so to be in such great hands meant we didn’t have to do much thinking they handled all that for us to take the pressure off.

We had the best experience at Merrion Fertility. Every single person we encountered showed compassion, warmth and kindness. They all understood how difficult a fertility journey is and treated us so well. You can ask any question you want through their patient portal and get a quick response. They also have a free support group run by Kay who is excellent. The group is so helpful for information on ivf but also for a feeling of community and togetherness. Thank you so much.

We had a wonderful experience with The Merrion Fertility Clinic and are now blessed with a healthy baby girl thanks to their incredible care. From start to finish, the team were professional, compassionate, and truly invested in our journey. On transfer day, Emer and Fiona made us feel completely at ease — their kindness, laughter, and great sense of humour brought so much comfort at such an important moment. The support and expertise offered by Merrion Fertility has been amazing, 1 year on from starting our first cycle of IVF/ICSI and our son is here! The atmosphere in the clinic is calm, the facility is spotless, the location is handy with lots of parking on surrounding streets. The nurses and embryology team were amazing throughout our two cycles, very supportive and helpful and you could feel they truly cared, making follow up calls and asking the right questions, the reception team are the kindest most warm people with lovely energy, which is really needed when emotions are high. Huge thank you to everyone at Merrion Fertility especially Dr.Bauman who made our dreams come true.

I cannot thank the team enough for their support on our journey to welcoming our daughter this August.

With my first child, born in May 2020, I conceived naturally on the very first try. When we started trying again in early 2024, things were very different. After stopping the pill, my cycles never returned, and by mid-year I found myself at the clinic, anxious and unsure.

I was diagnosed with PCOS and began treatment. Over the course of four cycles, we tried different approaches for Ovulation Induction with timed intercourse — starting with letrozole, adjusting the dosage, and eventually in the 4th and final cycle moving to injectable FSH with a trigger shot. That final cycle worked, and I became pregnant.

In August 2025, I delivered a healthy baby girl. I will always credit the clinic with helping make this possible.

Fertility struggles can be overwhelming and lonely, but the compassion and expertise I experienced here gave me confidence and hope at every step. For anyone navigating PCOS or secondary infertility, I cannot recommend the clinic highly enough.

I cannot recommend this clinic enough, every member of staff treats you sensitively and is patient and clear and helpful during what can obviously be a very difficult time.

I never remotely felt pressured into spending on any kind of add ons, the clinic is a non profit with the best interests of the patients at heart and will come up with the treatment plan they feel is best for each individual.

We started off inital investigations with another clinic and hadn't a great experience. Our GP referred us to the merrion and it was the best decision we ever made. From the start all staff were compassionate and empathetic. Communication was excellent via the patient portal and no question or query was too small and was always responded to promptly.
Clinical staff were excellent with all scans and procedures completed with utmost professionalism. The Fertility journey is a very complex and difficult one but the merrion make it as easy as it can possibly be.
We cannot thank them enough for giving us our family. We re beyond blessed to have two healthy babies both from one ivf cycle. I couldn't recommend them enough and we will be forever grateful to them.
